If it weren’t for the youthful aura about the girl, and the fact she wasn’t as gallant as Wu Xiaoyu, Tang Ming would have surely thought this person was Wu Xiaoyu. Even so, he still suspected she might be Wu Xiaoyu in disguise.
"Do you know ?"
Seeing Tang Ming staring at her blankly, the girl waved her hand in confusion.
"Are you Wu Xiaoyu?"
Tang Ming snapped out of it and nervously stared at the girl.
"You’ve got the wrong person, I’m not Wu Xiaoyu."
The girl frowned slightly, shook her head, and said, "My na is Wu Xiaoxia, which sounds very similar to the person you ntioned."
"Wu Xiaoxia? Are you ssing with ?"
Tang Ming looked at Wu Xiaoxia suspiciously.
"I don’t know you, why would I ss with you?"
Wu Xiaoxia smiled, looking at Tang Ming curiously, "Look at this, it’s my acceptance letter."
"Let’s have a look."
Tang Ming quickly opened the letter, and indeed, the na on it was Wu Xiaoxia: "How could this be? It’s one thing for the face to be similar, but even the nas are alike?"
"Do I really look like soone you know?"
Wu Xiaoxia asked Tang Ming uncertainly.
"Sorry, sorry, I mistook you for soone else."
Tang Ming awkwardly looked at Wu Xiaoxia, "You two do look very similar, but you’re younger than her, and prettier too."
"Haha, thank you, your way of striking up a conversation is quite unique."
Wu Xiaoxia put away her acceptance letter and turned to walk away.
"Wu Xiaoyu went to the Dragon Group and couldn’t possibly be back this soon, but the resemblance is uncanny!"
Watching Wu Xiaoxia’s departing figure, Tang Ming felt a little confused. This made him realize that Wu Xiaoyu had unknowingly left a mark in his heart.
"No, she must be related to Wu Xiaoyu; otherwise, how could there be such a coincidence?"
Tang Ming snapped back to reality, imdiately took out his phone, and dialed Zhou Xiong’s number.
"Xiao Tang, have you registered yet?"
The call connected, and Zhou Xiong’s voice ca through.
"Director Zhou, there’s sothing I need to ask you."
Tang Ming got straight to the point, wasting no ti: "I’m asking you, how many siblings does Wu Xiaoyu from the Wu Family have?"
"The Wu Family? Wu Dao has a son and a daughter. The daughter is Wu Xiaoyu, and the boy is called Wu Xiaoxie. He’s only ten and just started elentary school. As for collateral disciples, there are plenty."
Zhou Xiong replied truthfully.
"Wu Xiaoxie? Is there anyone nad Wu Xiaoxia in the Wu Family?"
Tang Ming puzzledly furrowed his brows.
"There really isn’t."
Zhou Xiong thought for a mont, then affird, "In the Wu Family, only Wu Xiaoyu and Wu Xiaoxie’s nas are based on fish and crab. It’s a special naming convention for this generation of the Wu Family. No collateral disciple dares to use such nas."
"Alright, I understand."
"Hey, hey, did you register, did you..."
Before Zhou Xiong could finish speaking, Tang Ming hung up the phone.
Wu Xiaoyu, Wu Xiaoxie, if there were no coincidences, Wu Xiaoyu and Wu Xiaoxie should logically follow with Wu Xiaoxia, but Zhou Xiong said there’s no such person in the Wu Family, so there must not be. Then what’s the deal with this Wu Xiaoxia in front of him?
"It seems I’ll have to visit the Wu Family to find out."
Looking toward the direction Wu Xiaoxia left, Tang Ming sighed reluctantly, then joined the line at the new student registration desk.
The school’s orientation work was very comprehensive, with senior classmates helping new students handle various issues every year. So as long as you find your departnt’s reception desk and follow the procedures, it is straightforward to deal with any so-called problems.
After registering, Tang Ming, led by a senior, submitted docunts, paid tuition, received al cards and dormitory arrangents, and was finally escorted to the dormitory building.
"Junior, all the freshman dorms for the dical major are on the first floor of the fourth dorm. Your room number is 137."
A bespectacled chubby senior enthusiastically explained while helping Tang Ming with his luggage.
"Thank you, senior brother, for your help along the way. I’ll treat you to a al if I get the chance."
Tang Ming politely expressed his gratitude.
"It’s what I’m supposed to do, seeing as I’m a student official in the dical College."
The chubby guy grinned, fiddling with his work badge on his chest, "If you’re interested, junior, you can join the publicity departnt of the student union; I’ve got your back."
"Thank you, senior brother, I haven’t decided yet."
Tang Ming gave an awkward smile. Students who could participate in orientation like this were all mbers of the student union for their respective majors. The chubby senior before him was called Shi Xinhang, a sophomore student.
"Alright, anyway, you have my number, so just call if you have any issues."
Shi Xinhang led Tang Ming to the door of dorm room 137, pointing at the room’s beds, "Except for bed number one, which is the dorm leader’s bed, you can choose any other bed you like."
"I’ll take the lower bunk by the window."
Tang Ming dragged his luggage next to bed number 4.
"Smart choice, that’s the best spot."
Shi Xinhang complinted, "Okay, junior, you get settled in first, I’ve got to take care of others as well."
"Go ahead, senior brother, thanks again."
Tang Ming again expressed his gratitude.
After Shi Xinhang left, Tang Ming looked at the other empty beds in surprise, not expecting to be the first one in this dorm.
Placing the bedding he bought from the school on the bed, Tang Ming settled at bed number 4.
Just as Tang Ming finished tidying up, his phone rang.
"Brother Ming, have you settled in?"
The call connected, and Chen Cang’s voice rang out.
"Just finished, how about you?"
Tang Ming responded with a smile.
"Finished what? This school actually has four-man dorms, and I have to share a room with three other guys. How am I supposed to live like this?"
Chen Cang exclaid dramatically.
"Haha, did you think it was like staying in a hotel, where they’d give you a private room?"
Tang Ming chuckled coldly, offering so comfort, "Count your blessings. I heard that in those popular majors at the school, there are even six-man and eight-man dorms; only less popular majors enjoy the luxury of a four-man dorm."
"Still, no! As a fair young maiden, how could I possibly sleep with other n like this? It’s too awkward, I’m going to protest."
Chen Cang growled through gritted teeth.
"Protest all you want, it’s futile. Unless you undergo gender reassignnt surgery, there’s no way the school will let you stay in the girls’ dorm."
Tang Ming reminded him matter-of-factly.
"I... my life is so bitter."
Hearing this, Chen Cang sagged, "Even if I can’t change dorms, I at least need a mattress? The bed’s so hard it’ll give back pain."
"Can you really do that?"
Tang Ming looked at his own bed. He had simply placed the blanket down and hadn’t really considered the mattress issue.
"Of course you can. Just look at all the students selling life necessities around the school; they all sell mattresses."
Chen Cang said confidently, "Li Xiaoli and Liu ngting definitely can’t handle the hard beds either, so let’s et up now and buy a few mattresses together."
"Alright, I’ll tidy up and be there shortly."
Tang Ming nodded, placing his luggage on the bed, and with keys in hand, locked the dorm room door and left to et up with Chen Cang.
Li Xiaoli and Liu ngting were also arranged into dorms by senior classmates, with plenty of complaints to boot.
