"Sorry, I tend to eat a lot, what you’ve ordered might not be enough."
Tang Ming smiled awkwardly, patting his chest, and assured, "Don’t worry, ma’am. After this al, if Mu Zixin ever has any trouble, I promise to help her with all my might."
"Big brother, could you not embarrass ?"
Upon hearing this, Liu ngting was almost in tears.
"That’s fine then. Just order whatever you want, as long as you can eat it, I can definitely afford it."
Mrs. Mu smiled faintly.
Quickly, the waiter began serving the dishes, and everyone was stunned by Tang Ming’s eating.
A table full of dishes, yet after a few bites by the others, Tang Ming had eaten everything. The speed, the eating manner — it was unbearable to watch.
Liu ngting closed her eyes in pain, utterly embarrassed.
"I haven’t even taken a picture, you, you’re eating too fast."
Ma Jiaran, holding her phone, looked in frustration at the ssy remnants of food.
"This isn’t scientifically possible! The human digestive system can’t handle this much food, how did you eat it all?"
Hua Yingjie pushed up his glasses, staring at Tang Ming in disbelief.
"No, no worries, there’s still a lot left, everyone feel free to eat."
Mrs. Mu smiled awkwardly, quickly asking the waiter to bring more food.
Two hours later, even with Mrs. Mu’s patience, her face had darkened; he could eat so much, damn it.
"Tang Ming, are you still eating?"
Mu Zixin curiously looked at Tang Ming, who was licking a plate.
"Um, have you all eaten enough?"
Tang Ming pouted, rubbing his stomach.
"Just watching you eat made full."
Liu ngting rubbed her temples, looking frustrated.
"No problem, keep ordering, everyone can eat while we chat."
Mrs. Mu snapped back, quickly calling the waiter to continue bringing dishes. Others couldn’t compete with Tang Ming and hardly ate anything.
Later, while they continued eating, Mrs. Mu subtly inquired about everyone’s family background.
After the al, Mrs. Mu nearly cried when paying the bill; this al shockingly cost over fifty thousand.
Though fifty thousand wasn’t much to her, being eaten up like that for no reason still hurt.
On the way back to school, Mrs. Mu held Mu Zixin’s hand, sitting in the back seat of the Rolls Royce, "Xinxin, did you observe their behavior clearly?"
"What’s there to see? They’re either poor bancrities or nouveau riche, not worth ntioning."
Mu Zixin shifted from her usual docile deanor, sneering arrogantly, "That Li Xiaoli and Liu ngting’s families might have so money, but they’re just nouveau riche, not worth ntioning. Liu Juni is just a pauper, and Ma Jiaran looks even poorer than Liu Juni, wearing a bunch of counterfeit goods."
"What about Wu Xiaoxia?"
Mrs. Mu looked at her daughter with interest.
"I haven’t figured her out yet, that woman neither happy nor sad, quite an impressive realm."
Mu Zixin frowned slightly.
"Indeed, among your roommates, only Wu Xiaoxia is soone of note. Make sure to get to know her better if you have the chance, and the others you can just brush off."
Mrs. Mu nodded, "But those boys were quite interesting, weren’t they?"
"Are you talking about that big eater?"
Mu Zixin looked uncertainly at Mrs. Mu.
"Forget about Tang Ming, apart from being able to eat, I couldn’t see any depth in him."
Mrs. Mu’s mouth twitched slightly; the al could have ended under twenty thousand, but it ended up costing fifty thousand, all because of Tang Ming.
"Then who are you referring to? ng Xianjun is a lecher, Chen Cang is a freakshow, and Hua Yingjie is just a bookworm."
Mu Zixin frowned, really not seeing anything special in those few people.
"Let’s start with Hua Yingjie. He might look down-and-out, but his deanor and actions are very disciplined. I’ve only seen such a temperant in great Confucian scholars."
Mrs. Mu frowned, explaining, "I observed him throughout the al. His eating process is very deliberate, progressing from light to deep, and moving from depth to gentleness. It’s the most reasonable eating thod I’ve seen. Moreover, his actions had no superfluous motions, always standard and elegant, not a common person."
"I didn’t notice that at all."
Mu Zixin said, surprised and doubtful.
"You’re still too young. As for that lecher ng Xianjun, he seed lascivious and foolish, but his gaze was lustful yet not lewd, frivolous but not diabolical. He understood how to balance the food on the table during the al. From this detail, he’s likely a fair and just person who knows how to conduct himself."
Mrs. Mu spoke very highly of ng Xianjun.
"No way! I saw his eyes never leaving the won, and he grossly ogled the plumpest parts, if it weren’t for eting him at university, I’d have beaten him up."
Mu Zixin shouted incredulously.
"There you are wrong, he indeed keeps looking at won, but without evil intent. It’s more like he’s searching for sothing, and his lechery is just a disguise."
Mrs. Mu lightly smiled, "Even though I don’t know what he’s searching for, he’s certainly not simple."
"Alright, I’ll make sure to get to know those two better in the future then."
Mu Zixin nodded, "That freakshow shouldn’t be anything extraordinary either, right? Correct, he’s no ordinary person, he’s a freakshow."
"You silly girl, I’m talking serious business here," Mrs. Mu rolled her eyes at Mu Zixin, solemnly saying, "Though Chen Cang has orientation issues, did you notice his overwhelming arrogance, hardly even acknowledging us?"
"This..."
Mu Zixin frowned, rembering that Chen Cang indeed only acted amicably towards Tang Ming, Liu ngting and their group, disregarding others.
"Such outward sharpness is rare. I suspect he only lowered himself because he fancied Tang Ming, or else we probably wouldn’t have been able to get such a person to eat with us today."
Mrs. Mu made an accurate judgnt.
"I understand now."
Mu Zixin nodded, quietly admiring her mother’s ability to read people.
One must admit, Mrs. Mu was very accurate in assessing people, though she happened to make a wrong judgnt about one person, and that was Tang Ming.
The main reason was Tang Ming’s voracious eating, which overshadowed all his other qualities.
"By the way, there’s one more crucial thing I need to remind you of,"
Mrs. Mu suddenly clapped her hands, solemnly saying, "No matter what, never invite Tang Ming for a al again. That guy eats too much; even with a lot of money, we can’t handle him devoured tens of thousands at a ti, too much."
"Hehe, I understand now."
Mu Zixin smiled faintly; she was disinterested in dealing with such a glutton.
Before leaving the dormitory, Tang Ming reprimanded Shao Wuyou, resulting in Shao Wuyou missing the get-together between the two dorms, sulkily throwing away everything Tang Ming had wet, and preparing a new set.
"Bastard, how dare you hit ."
Shao Wuyou sat in the empty dorm room, venomously glaring at Tang Ming’s bed.
