Before the performance ended, the audience was already clapping wildly, with many male students standing up in excitent and shouting, and so even whistling.
Tang Ming and Lu Xiaolu finished their performance, bowed, and returned backstage.
The enthusiastic applause and cheers from the audience pushed the event to a climax.
"Zhao Yan, this is what a successful performance looks like. See? Rave reviews and the crowd is going wild."
Amidst the applause, Shao Wuyou smugly looked at Zhao Yan.
"Humph!"
Zhao Yan snorted coldly, speechless, not knowing what to say.

Tang Ming returned backstage and sat down in the chair, looking tired.
"The effect is pretty good, I’m very satisfied."
Lu Xiaolu cuddled up beside Tang Ming, looking very happy.
"Looks like your program will definitely advance, and perform at the school’s welco gala."
Shao Wuyou looked at Tang Ming with envy.
"It’s not over till it’s over; no one knows the result yet."
Zhao Yan imdiately retorted unhappily.
"You don’t have to say anything; the audience’s response wasn’t as good as ours; rubbish."
Shao Wuyou gave Zhao Yan a disdainful look.

"Whether we make it to the school’s welco gala or not, it’s all good as long as we’re happy."
Lu Xiaolu lightly massaged Tang Ming’s shoulders.
"Better not make it; I don’t want to waste ti on this."
Tang Ming pouted, looking frustratedly at Shao Wuyou and ng Xianjun, "If it wasn’t for you guys putting my na in, I wouldn’t have participated."
"Don’t say that; at least now you’ve reunited with Lu Xiaolu; that’s an unexpected gain."
Shao Wuyou awkwardly explained, "Right, ng?"
ng Xianjun hadn’t spoken; he was staring at a cloud-like pattern on Lu Xiaolu’s waist.
"Hey, ng, why aren’t you saying anything?"
Shao Wuyou looked at ng Xianjun in confusion, "Stop looking; your eyes are going to fall out."
"Ah!"
ng Xianjun snapped back to reality and asked Lu Xiaolu uncertainly, "Your waist tattoo is pretty; when did you get it?"
"Tattoo?"
Lu Xiaolu was slightly surprised, looked down at her waist, and responded with a smile, "This isn’t a tattoo; it’s a birthmark. I’ve had it since I was young."
"It really is a birthmark."
ng Xianjun’s expression turned serious.
"What’s wrong?"
The group looked at ng Xianjun with concern.
"Nothing, nothing."
ng Xianjun smiled awkwardly and changed the subject, "Your performance was amazing, but it seems a bit too risqué; I wonder if the school will accept it."
"Accept it or not, it’s already perford. As long as we’re thrilled watching it."
Shao Wuyou laughed heartily without a care.
The group rested and waited for the event to end and for the results to be announced.
An hour later, the dical College’s welco gala was winding down. After discussion among the leaders, Shao Wuyou and ng Xianjun’s martial arts performance successfully advanced, selected to perform at the school’s welco gala.
"Hahaha, our program got selected."
Hearing the news, Shao Wuyou burst into laughter excitedly.
ng Xianjun, however, smiled absentmindedly, lost in thought.
"Zhao Yan, our program got selected."
Shao Wuyou smugly looked at Zhao Yan.
"Humph, what’s there to be happy about? There’s still one spot left; it’ll definitely be my program."
Zhao Yan snorted unhappily.
"The remaining spot definitely won’t be yours; it will be Tang Ming and Lu Xiaolu’s program."
Shao Wuyou confidently looked at Zhao Yan.
"That’s not certain."
Zhao Yan glanced at Tang Ming and Lu Xiaolu sitting together, looking upset.
"We’re not bothered, why are you guys so tense?"
Tang Ming rolled his eyes speechlessly, "Just end it quickly, so I can go back to the dorm and sleep."
"Honestly, I hope we get selected; then we can dance in front of more people."
Lu Xiaolu watched the host on stage expectantly, "Thousands of spectators, many small stars don’t get this sort of scene."
As the group watched nervously, the host announced the other selected program was a four-person skit, "Housing Prices."
"What’s going on?"
Seeing this, Shao Wuyou and the others were stunned. Only two programs got selected; Tang Ming and Lu Xiaolu were ousted.
"Hahaha, you guys got ahead of yourselves."
Zhao Yan laughed excitedly, "See? Their program wasn’t selected. It’s a slap in the face!"
"It’s not logical! There must be sothing behind the scenes; their program was so popular, how could it not be selected?"
Shao Wuyou frowned and complained.
"Facts speak louder than words; they’re just not selected."
Zhao Yan looked smugly at Tang Ming and Lu Xiaolu, "Xiaolu, I told you you’d regret it."
"Idiot! Seems like your program didn’t get selected either; what’s making you happy?"
Tang Ming looked at Zhao Yan disdainfully.
"This..."
Zhao Yan’s expression stiffened, realizing his program also got eliminated.
He had been so focused on whether Tang Ming and Lu Xiaolu’s program would advance, he forgot about his own status.
"Brains are fried, getting eliminated and still have the nerve to mock others."
Shao Wuyou chuckled at Zhao Yan, "Although Tang Ming’s program wasn’t selected, it caused a stir. Does your program have any highlights?"
"Humph, none of them got selected, showing they’re not that great either."
Zhao Yan snorted coldly, displeased.
"Ladies and gentlen, at this welco gala, aside from the above two selected programs, Tang Ming and Lu Xiaolu’s ’Enchanted Tango’ also beca a backup for the school-level welco gala."
At this mont, the host’s voice echoed again.
"What does a backup program an?"
Lu Xiaolu imdiately jumped up, confusedly asking around.

A young man wearing glasses and a jacket walked over.
This was Zhang Ye, a sophomore in the dical College and the vice minister of the student council’s cultural departnt.

Zhang Ye sighed, "The school’s leaders felt your program was too sexy for a student stage, but they recognized your impressive dance talent, so your program was placed as a backup."
