"Poison ?"
A look of surprise flashed across Tang Ming’s face, but inside, he wasn’t the least bit afraid; he was afraid of everything except poison.
Seeing that Tang Ming seed a bit scared, Liu Gaoze continued, "You have a detoxification pill now that can counteract the poison, but what if you don’t have any left? Or if they find an opportunity to prevent you from getting to the detoxification pills? Using poison is the most unpredictable strategy there is, you can’t be too careful."
"Hmph, if they really dare to poison , then I welco them to try. It will be a good opportunity to enhance my strength."
Tang Ming was practically bursting with joy inside!

Liu Gaoze didn’t really understand, but recalling how Tang Ming had asked him for poison before, he supposed that Tang Ming must have had so expertise in this area.
After eating, Tang Ming and Liu Gaoze headed straight back to the hotel, only to see Su Xiaoxi arrive back at the sa ti.
"Tang Ming, I was just looking for you!"
Liu Gaoze had no particular fondness for this young girl, and thinking that he still needed to go back and contact the Dark Group to report, he frowned and said to Tang Ming, "I’m going to my room now. Don’t go out tonight to avoid trouble, you got that?"
"Uncle, I got it."
Tang Ming nodded and then watched as Liu Gaoze entered the hotel.
Once Liu Gaoze was gone, Su Xiaoxi ca over with a cheerful grin and said to Tang Ming, "Dear, why did you leave without waiting for ?"
"I didn’t know where you had gone, and since you weren’t there, I went to have dinner with uncle."
Tang Ming said offhandedly.
"What else could I be doing? I ran into that annoying ghost Sun Zhuangjia again at the venue, got tangled up with him and delayed, and by the ti I ca out, you were already gone."
Su Xiaoxi explained.
"He was bothering you again?"
Tang Ming said, sowhat exasperated.
"He wanted to have dinner with him, but just looking at him makes want to throw up, so how could I possibly go eat with him?"
Su Xiaoxi stuck out her tongue and pretended to be disgusted.
"For a good thing like a al, I would have agreed if it were ."
Tang Ming laughed.
Su Xiaoxi imdiately said, "I haven’t eaten yet, how about you keep company for dinner?"
"I just ate. It’s already so late, and I want to go back and sleep. Why don’t you skip dinner too? It could help you lose weight."
Tang Ming had had a tiring day and his cultivation had broken through as well, so he was feeling a bit weary and wasn’t too keen on the idea.
"I’m starving, and besides, I’m not fat. If I don’t eat dinner, I’ll be hungry and won’t be able to sleep."
Su Xiaoxi pleaded pitifully.
Tang Ming nonchalantly brushed her off, "Then just go back to sleep now. Once you fall asleep, you won’t feel hungry anymore."
Su Xiaoxi said unhappily,
"You said you’d keep company these next few days. Now you don’t even want to go out to dinner with , why are you being like this?"
"So what do you want to do?"
Tang Ming rembered that he had promised Su Xiaoxi that morning to pretend to be her boyfriend.
"Just accompany to get so takeout and we’ll go back, that should be fine, right?"
Su Xiaoxi said helplessly.
"Alright."
Tang Ming could only nod his head. Although he was very tired, as a man he couldn’t go back on his word, especially since there were many martial artists around the auction house—so good, so bad. To let Su Xiaoxi, such a pretty girl, go out alone was sothing he couldn’t bear; if anything happened to her, he would feel uneasy.
The two walked on the sidewalk next to the street, which was crowded with people during the peak off-work hours. They soon turned into a small alley where there were many street vendors and food shops.
"Wow, cream puffs!"
Su Xiaoxi’s voice expressed surprise, and then she quickly walked toward a cake shop, excitedly saying as she gazed at the colorful and tempting pastries inside the glass.
"They look nice, but that doesn’t an they taste good, probably just sothing you girls like to eat."
Tang Ming had no interest in such things.
Su Xiaoxi ignored him, walked into the shop, had soone bring out the cream puffs and said blissfully after taking a sniff, "Ah, they sll amazing, give one of each kind."
The shop assistant imdiately packed them for her. Tang Ming, seeing that the items were bought, urged Su Xiaoxi to return to the hotel.
Exiting the cake shop with her purchase, Su Xiaoxi slowly ate a cream puff while looking ahead and said, "Up ahead is the night market, do you want to go take a look?"
"I’m really not interested, those cheap clothes or jewelry are not my cup of tea."
Tang Ming said as he shook his head.
"Not at all, aren’t you looking to buy so good stuff? I’m telling you, that night market is organized by martial artists. Although it’s not as large as the auction house, it has plenty of items. If you have a good eye, you might even find treasures. Are you interested now?"
Su Xiaoxi asked.
"Is that so? Then let’s go have a look."
Tang Ming was always curious about unusual things, and Su Xiaoxi had deliberately ntioned it knowing that.
As they walked and looked, Su Xiaoxi said:
"The martial artists’ night market is actually a place where different sects sell the elixirs they’ve refined and various natural treasures in the form of street stalls. There are many and varied items; you’ll need good eye power not to overpay."
"I see they are mostly common goods. If there were any good items, who would put them on stalls when auctioning them off might multiply their value."
Tang Ming was skeptical and shook his head.
"That’s where you’re wrong. Most of the stuff here is quite strange, and a lot of it is unverifiable. No one knows what they are or their uses. How could the auction house auction them? That’s why those sellers bring them here, individually. If soone recognizes the value of the items, they could pick up a bargain. There might even be so ancient treasures."
Su Xiaoxi said while blinking her big eyes.
Listening to her, it sounded quite reasonable. So ancient artifacts, passing down through the ages, might be unknown to modern people, treated as junk. It seed the night market really could be worth the visit.
"By the way, those elixirs you got at the auction, why did they just accept them?"
Su Xiaoxi suddenly thought of this and asked.
Tang Ming hadn’t noticed this either and upon hearing it, he then began to wonder. Indeed, why were his Detoxification Pills auctioned off directly? No one had scrutinized them closely.
After thinking for a while, Tang Ming guessed it might be related to Liu Gaoze, who was from the Dark Group. Perhaps he could use his status to vouch for him.
"I don’t know, they just accepted them. Maybe soone recognized that my item was genuine,"
Tang Ming made an evasive reply and then lowered his head to look at the items in the night market.
