Tang Ming had never seen such a powerful poison before. His Martial Energy True Qi rapidly circulated inside his body, and just as he refined away a portion of the intense poison, another portion imdiately sprang up as if the poison had a mind of its own, able to endlessly reproduce itself.
"Is this guy poisoned, or does he have dishonorable intentions towards ?"
Su Xiaoxi looked at Tang Ming with his face flushed red and breathing rapidly, muttering in her heart.
"Ah, Tang Ming, why are you taking off your clothes?"
Su Xiaoxi’s eyes widened as she saw Tang Ming, with his eyes closed, stripping off his shirt, baring his upper body completely.
Seeing him looking like a beast in rut, Su Xiaoxi retreated fearfully to the doorway of the room.
At this mont, Tang Ming was sitting cross-legged on the bed, his eyes tightly shut, with white steam rising from his head and his body a bright red, sweat seeping out from his skin as the room seed to heat up with his presence.
"You scared to death; it seems this guy really is poisoned!"
Su Xiaoxi, seeing that Tang Ming made no further aggressive moves and was sitting cross-legged in cultivation, likely trying to force the poison out, breathed a sigh of relief. At the sa ti, she used her body to block the room door firmly, afraid that any disturbance might cause Tang Ming to experience deviation.
Engaged in a fierce battle, Tang Ming’s internal Martial Energy continued to force out the deadly poison, but with each refinent, the toxicity regenerated anew as if it were endless. He had no choice but to increase the pressure of his Martial Energy, which only consud more of his strength, leaving his body on the verge of collapse.
As ti passed, the quantity of the intense poison clearly decreased, but the physical over-exertion was extrely severe. Tang Ming did not dare to stop, clenching his teeth and constantly refining the deadly poison. This was a battle unseen, with Tang Ming’s body as the battlefield.
Ah!
With a low roar from Tang Ming, the last trace of intense poison in his body was refined away, but the energy expended was simply too much, and he could no longer hold on. Suddenly, he lost consciousness and collapsed onto the bed.
Seeing Tang Ming shout loudly and fall onto the bed from a seated position, Su Xiaoxi was terrified, thinking that sothing terrible had happened to him. She hurriedly opened the door and ran to seek help from Liu Gaoze.
Liu Gaoze had arrived with Tang Ming and might know how to save him. Right now, Su Xiaoxi’s only thought was to find a way to save Tang Ming’s life.
Outside Tang Ming’s room, Long Er had long been waiting and secretly monitoring. Noticing the door suddenly opening and Su Xiaoxi running out in a panic, he imdiately grabbed his phone to inform his martial uncle, i Dufeng.
i Dufeng had been waiting for a long ti and quickly ran over, darting into Tang Ming’s room. With a swift glance, he saw Tang Ming lying on the bed, his body terribly pale and completely motionless, devoid of life.
"Haha, this kid opposed us, and now he knows the true might of the Poison Sect," i Dufeng said.
Knowing that Tang Ming had died of poisoning, i Dufeng dared not touch his body, afraid of also becoming contaminated with the poison.
The Bone Corrosive Blood Erosion Powder was different from ordinary poisons, highly contagious; a victim’s body after death would be even more toxic than before. It must not be touched, lest one beco contaminated with the poison!
Although the Poison Sect had thods of detoxification, it was by no ans an easy task to detoxify while travelling outside. Therefore, i Dufeng did not dare to approach Tang Ming, convinced that he was struck by Bone Corrosive Blood Erosion Powder and thus dood to die.
Inside the room, i Dufeng quickly found the wooden box and the bank card, directly taking these two items with him. Although the wooden box was contaminated with the intense poison, one end had not been sared with it. i Dufeng made a mark, naturally able to carry it away easily; otherwise, he would have been poisoned earlier when he took it out.
After securing the two items, just as he reached the room door, he bumped into Su Xiaoxi who had called Liu Gaoze for help, and the three of them t right at the door.
i Dufeng’s face shifted from panic back to composure and, pointing at Tang Ming on the bed, he said:
"Has this kid succumbed to deviation while practicing his cultivation?"
"What are you doing here?" Su Xiaoxi glanced at i Dufeng and asked unhappily.
i Dufeng defended himself, saying:
"Oh, I was just passing by the door and saw Tang Ming lying inside. I thought sothing had happened, so I ca in to have a look."
"This is none of your business, you can leave now." Liu Gaoze, not having much affection for the people of the Poison Sect, directly issued the order to leave.
i Dufeng chuckled inwardly but outwardly he said:
"If you won’t let help, then forget it."
No sooner had the words been dropped, i Dufeng turned around and went straight back to his room, by this ti Long Duba and the others had already packed up. As soon as they saw him enter the room, they asked, "Did you get the stuff?"
"Brother, rest assured, I got the goods!" i Dufeng hurriedly took out the wooden box and then, with the help of Long Yi and Long Er, swapped the box.
As soon as Long Duba saw that the goods were in hand, he said with satisfaction,
"Good, the matter is settled, let’s leave now to avoid complications later in the night."
anwhile, in another room, Liu Gaoze gently shook the Tang Ming lying on the bed and called out, "Tang Ming, are you alright?"
"Could Tang Ming be dead?"
Su Xiaoxi asked, covering her face with her hands, heartbroken.
Liu Gaoze stretched out his hand to touch Tang Ming’s nostrils, finding indeed there was no breath, and his heartbeat was not fluctuating either; what was this if not a sign of death?
Just as Liu Gaoze was about to feel sorrow, Tang Ming’s body suddenly moved, and then his heartbeat and breathing both returned to normal at once.
"It turns out it was just a feigned death," Liu Gaoze sighed with relief.
Tang Ming slowly opened his eyes, turned over and got up from the bed, and seeing Liu Gaoze sitting beside him, he couldn’t help but ask, "Uncle, how did you get over here?"
"It was because you, boy, fell into a feigned dead state just now and scared this girl out of her wits, so she ran out to call over to check on you," Liu Gaoze said in an annoyed tone.
"Oh." Tang Ming said, "Uncle, the Five Poison Colored Soil you wanted, I’ve got it for you."
At these words, Liu Gaoze looked at Tang Ming and exclaid,
"Really?"
"Why would I lie to you?" Tang Ming spoke as he glanced towards the desk in the room, only to suddenly notice that both the wooden box and the card were gone.
"Where is the thing I put there?" Tang Ming asked, looking at Su Xiaoxi.
"The thing?"
Su Xiaoxi had seen the wooden box there before as well, but now it was gone.
"Did you just run out to call the uncle?" Tang Ming understood at once, suddenly feeling angry as he said,
"Damn it, we’ve been duped."
"Duped?" Upon hearing this, Liu Gaoze was taken aback, but he quickly understood,
"When we arrived just now, the Poison Sect people were inside your room, it seems they were the ones who made their move."
"That’s right, it was them. My poisoning was also because of them." Tang Ming stood up, quickly dressed:
"See if I don’t settle the score with them."
"Tang Ming, the Poison Sect has strength in numbers and are skilled in using poisons. If you go alone, you’ll be at a disadvantage. We should think this through more carefully," Liu Gaoze advised urgently.
