"Tang Ming, be careful later. Sun Zhuangjia and his guys might be out to get you,"

Su Xiaoxi warned Tang Ming.

"Out to get ?"

Tang Ming also held a cocktail in his hand, but he would down it in one gulp, "They’re asking for a beating."

Indeed, just as Su Xiaoxi had said, Sun Zhuangjia and his people were conspiring on how to deal with Tang Ming. Even though they were all spoiled rich kids with so power in their families, starting trouble at the party would offend others!

The big talk from Qin Kong and the others earlier was just to scare Tang Ming, but since he didn’t fall for it, they didn’t know what to do.

"Brother Sun, are you sure that Tang Ming, as you said, is just a bodyguard?"

Qin Kong, holding a glass of wine, asked.

"Why would I lie to you?"

Sun Zhuangjia said, "I found out through that kid Chen Cang, he’s coming to the party later; you can ask him yourself."

"This kid has a murderous vibe, seems like a tough nut to crack,"

Ma Zhisong recalled the look in Tang Ming’s eyes earlier with a shudder.

"Scared of what, he’s just one person, what can he do even if he has so skills?"

Sun Zhuangjia cursed, "Are we few not a match for just him alone?"

"Exactly, later just using sothing small will be enough to make that kid kneel and call us ’daddy,’"

Qin Kong also said with a laugh, backing him up.

After pondering for a mont, Sun Zhuangjia said, "Violence is the last resort; I want to make that kid lose face in public, think of so sches."

With that said, the group started rubbing their chins and scratching their heads, each coming up with many ideas to humiliate soone.

"Make him lose face in public?"

Qin Kong touched his chin, his beady eyes spun, and he laughed, "Since this guy is a bodyguard, he surely doesn’t have much money, a real pauper. Later, we’ll have him gamble a few rounds. Once he loses money, we’ll have plenty of ways to deal with him."

"That’s right."

Sun Zhuangjia agreed. They often gambled and even spent money to learn so sleight-of-hand tricks. It was easy to deal with people who didn’t gamble regularly. If they won Tang Ming’s money, wouldn’t he have to obediently listen to them?

"Then it’s settled. Later, we’ll set up a gambling ga and let this kid join in, we’ll play him to death,"

Ma Zhisong grinned wickedly, as if he was already picturing the scene of Tang Ming being conned by them until he even lost his underwear.

Su Xiaoxi had been watching Sun Zhuangjia and his group the whole ti. When she saw Ma Zhisong’s sinister smile, she said unhappily, "Smiling so wickedly, you must be up to no good."

Tang Ming, eating so snacks, said offhandedly, "They’re just a bunch of people begging to be dealt with, why care about them?"

"Hmph, aren’t I worrying about you?"

Su Xiaoxi cursed Tang Ming in her heart for being heartless, but suddenly her face turned red.

After discussing their plans, Sun Zhuangjia and the others couldn’t wait to get started. Qin Kong pulled out a deck of playing cards from his pocket and said with a smile, "Brothers, let’s go find so fun."

The group headed straight for the place where Tang Ming and Su Xiaoxi were sitting, smiling rrily at the two of them.

"Xiaoxi, let tell you a secret,"

Seeing the crowd coming over, Tang Ming imdiately said to Su Xiaoxi who was sitting beside him.

"What secret?"

Su Xiaoxi perked up her ears curiously.

Tang Ming, looking at Sun Zhuangjia and the rest, said with annoyance, "I get nauseous eating when I see too many dogs around, and might accidentally throw up."

"Haha."

Su Xiaoxi couldn’t help but let out a burst of laughter, almost choking from amusent.

Sun Zhuangjia and his companions imdiately felt their anger surge, aware that Tang Ming was speaking in veiled insults. Qin Kong bellowed, "You’re just a bodyguard and you dare to insult people, what do you an by that?"

"What do you think I an?"

Tang Ming retorted defiantly.

"Apologize, I want you to apologize to right now."

Qin Kong rolled up his sleeves, ready to get physical, mumbling incessantly.

Tang Ming laughed and said,

"Why should I apologize to you? I rely said that seeing too many dogs makes feel nauseous. May I ask where I ntioned you? Unless, of course, you believe you lot are those things?"

"Haha."

Su Xiaoxi was no longer tense as before; instead, she was tickled by Tang Ming’s banter. She thought only Tang Ming could get away with mocking Sun Zhuangjia and his group like that.

"Damn it."

Qin Kong cursed and was about to take action, but Sun Zhuangjia quickly held him back, then called a lackey from behind to pull him away.

Although they had been mocked through indirect references, Sun Zhuangjia concealed his rage. He knew that it was impossible to lay a finger on Tang Ming during the party. If the situation blew up, none of the sons from these families would end up well off.

"If there’s nothing else, you guys should leave. Don’t disrupt our conversation."

Su Xiaoxi, who was wary of trouble, spoke to Sun Zhuangjia with disdain.

Ignoring her, Sun Zhuangjia walked up to Tang Ming, smiling, and said, "Tang Ming, since there’s nothing much happening at the party right now, why don’t we play a few rounds of cards?"

"Cards?"

Seeing a deck of playing cards in Sun Zhuangjia’s hand, Tang Ming imdiately caught on and replied with a smile, "Playing cards isn’t a bad idea, but I’m not interested if it’s just for fun."

Impatiently rolling his eyes, Sun Zhuangjia said, "Of course, we need to bet on sothing. No one’s interested in playing for nothing. I’m just worried you might not be bold enough to join."

"Why wouldn’t I be?"

Tang Ming grinned, "I’ve been dead broke recently; if you guys are up for giving money, why wouldn’t I be happy about it?"

Su Xiaoxi cautiously tugged at Tang Ming’s arm and whispered, "Sun Zhuangjia and the others play cards often. Don’t gamble with them; be careful they don’t trick you," she advised softly.

"Don’t worry, with their skills, I can take them down in minutes."

Tang Ming said disdainfully, baring his teeth.

Sun Zhuangjia turned quite irritated. He and his friends had specifically paid money to learn the craft and even hired a professional cheat from Jianghu just so they could win as they pleased. Tang Ming might be skilled in martial arts, but he obviously wasn’t a gambler. How dare he boast so boldly?

He was utterly reckless! Sun Zhuangjia’s face turned dark with anger, but he kept silent, waiting for the card ga to thoroughly discipline Tang Ming and crush his arrogance.

"How do we play, tell ," Tang Ming asked nonchalantly.

Seeing Qin Kong shaking his head, clearly uninterested in joining, Sun Zhuangjia then said, "Three-player Fight the Landlord is too exhausting, let’s just play Three-card Brag."

"Tell how to play, I’m a quick learner," Tang Ming nodded.

Ma Zhisong smiled at that, thinking that soone who had never played cards before, yet dared to talk big, was bound to lose even their underpants in no ti!

"You play with three cards to compare sizes; there are many ways to play, I’ll slowly explain to you..."

Unveiling the cards, Sun Zhuangjia began to explain the rules to Tang Ming. A few minutes later, Tang Ming had completely grasped them.

There were three players: Tang Ming, Sun Zhuangjia, and Ma Zhisong. The ante was one thousand, with a cap at one hundred thousand.

As soon as the rules were laid out, Su Xiaoxi hastily interjected, "Capping at one hundred thousand, isn’t that playing a bit too high?"
