"You be careful yourself."
Lin Xue nodded slightly and whispered, "I’ll wait for you at the exit later, I have sothing to tell you."
Seeing Lin Xue’s secretive manner, Tang Ming also whispered curiously, "What is it?"
"You’ll know when the ti cos. I’ll go out first and wait for you."
Lin Xue glanced at Xia Wei’er, feeling she couldn’t discuss the matter in front of others.
"Okay then, don’t leave hanging!"
Though he hadn’t a clue what Lin Xue was up to, Tang Ming didn’t want to offend this policewoman over such a matter.
Tang Ming t up with Xia Wei’er and Liu ngting among others and briefly recounted what had happened. Then the group started guessing what Lin Xue was up to.
After paying the bill and walking out of the supermarket, Lin Xue was indeed standing at the entrance waiting.
"Why are so many of you together?"
Seeing Tang Ming and the others, Lin Xue grew doubtful.
"Yeah. Brother Tang Ming ca with and Sister ng ng to buy stuff for tomorrow’s autumn outing. We’re not going to get caught, are we?"
Li Xiaoli tilted her head and asked.
"I didn’t say I was going to catch him."
Lin Xue furrowed her brows and said with difficulty:
"Alright, Tang Ming, co with to the car. I have sothing I want to discuss with you alone."
"Sure!"
Tang Ming didn’t mind and left with Lin Xue after giving a few instructions.
"Sister ng ng, could it be that the policewoman has taken a fancy to Brother Tang Ming and wants to have a car date with him?"
Li Xiaoli speculated with a gossipy expression.
"She wouldn’t be that brazen, would she?"
Liu ngting had a beautiful frown, also not quite sure.
"I’m going ho first. You guys be careful on the road."
Xia Wei’er pursed her lips and left with a small bag of items.
In the car. "Officer, what exactly did you want to see about?"
Tang Ming, feeling like he was on pins and needles, sat in the passenger seat and asked anxiously.
"Cough cough! Here, this is for you."
After coughing, Lin Xue handed Tang Ming a small blue booklet.
"What’s this?"
Tang Ming took the booklet with a puzzled look and exclaid in surprise, "Auxiliary police! Have you been demoted?"
"It’s not who’s been demoted. This is sothing I’ve arranged for you."
Lin Xue shot Tang Ming a glance and explained, "The Qin Family definitely won’t let you off, and I couldn’t think of a better way to help you for the ti being. So, I got you an auxiliary police ID. This way, since you’re a public servant, the Qin Family should be more cautious. I hope it can prevent them from retaliating against you."
Upon hearing this, Tang Ming quickly opened the ID, and sure enough, it had his photo and personal information.
"Where did you get all this information about ?"
Tang Ming looked at Lin Xue with bewildernt, suddenly finding this violent policewoman quite nice. Although she sotis lacked discernnt, she was indeed upright.
"Hmph, I’ve arrested you so many tis, your information has long been noted in the police station."
Lin Xue snorted coldly, feeling sowhat annoyed: I’ve gone through all this trouble to help him, and he doesn’t even say thank you.
"Thank you!"
At that mont, Tang Ming expressed his gratitude.
Lin Xue’s mood instantly brightened, but the next mont Tang Ming’s words nearly infuriated her to death.
"Even though this thing isn’t very useful, there should be a salary, right?"
Tang Ming looked at Lin Xue with a hopeful face.
"I had to pull so strings to get this for you, the aim was to protect your safety, and you’re still thinking about the salary?"
Lin Xue glared with wide eyes and said irritably, "You should be thankful if I manage to save this little life of yours!"
"Alright, alright, since it’s like that, I guess I don’t have any obligation to work, and there’s no reason to refuse sothing free."
Tang Ming grinned, putting away his docunt, and asked, "You’re being so nice to , you couldn’t possibly like , could you?"
"Like you? In your dreams! Get out of the car, I’m annoyed just looking at you!"
Lin Xue’s face flushed red, and she angrily opened the car door, shooing Tang Ming out of the car.
"What a strange temper!"
Tang Ming touched his nose and looked bewildered as he watched Lin Xue drive away, "She just left like that, but what about that companion who ca with her?"
"The jerk! I’m helping him so much, and he dares to say I like him? I’m livid!"
Lin Xue drove away from the supermarket, cursing as her heart pounded angrily.
At that mont, her phone rang.
"Miss Lin, where are you? I’m still waiting for you in the security room."
Tan Ruoxi’s frustrated voice ca through the phone.
"Ah, I got held up, I’ll be right back to pick you up."
Lin Xue suddenly gasped, having been so irritated and confused by Tang Ming that she’d completely forgotten about Tan Ruoxi.
"Alright, it’s a bit troubleso, these two petty thieves ate a lot of things from the supermarket, but they don’t have any money on them. The supermarket wants to call the police; we need to take them to the station."
"Okay, I’ll be right there."
Lin Xue ended the call and made a sharp U-turn, thinking fiercely, "If I find out you guys are from the Qin Family, just wait and see how I’ll deal with you."
After splitting up with Lin Xue, Tang Ming accompanied Liu ngting and Li Xiaoli ho by car.
All the way, Tang Ming couldn’t resist Li Xiaoli and Liu ngting’s relentless questioning and confessed everything about how Lin Xue had arranged for him to get a police auxiliaries’ permit.
"That fierce-looking policeman actually being so kind, could it be she’s fallen for Tang Ming?"
Li Xiaoli sat in the back seat, dejectedly speculating.
"She wouldn’t arrest , let alone like ."
Tang Ming leaned against the passenger seat and responded lifelessly.
"That’s not right though, if she didn’t like you, why would she care so much about you?"
Li Xiaoli tilted her head and looked at Liu ngting, asking, "ng ng, what do you think?"
"Heh!"
Liu ngting said nothing, but a hint of unpleasant alarm arose in her heart.
"It’s really depressing. Just got rid of Xia Wei’er, and now here cos Lin Xue, Tang Ming, you really attract the ladies."
Li Xiaoli lanted helplessly.
"What have you done with Xia Wei’er?"
Tang Ming asked, puzzled.
"Hehe, inviting her to co out today was to make her back off."
Li Xiaoli imdiately felt smug.
"Earlier at the supermarket, ng ng and I bought so much, but she had only a little. In the end, ng ng even paid for her items too, that was to show off ng ng’s financial power to her."
"Li, what you’re doing is not right."
Liu ngting chided discontentedly, not having expected Li Xiaoli to be so calculating.
"What’s wrong with that! Tang Ming is sure to choose soone with financial power like ng ng, otherwise, he’s a complete idiot."
Li Xiaoli said nonchalantly.
"Exactly, exactly."
Tang Ming nodded with his eyes closed, thinking to himself resignedly: It seems like the old man said sothing similar; if I object, I would essentially be calling the old man an idiot, and he’d probably kill !
"Hmph, who cares about his choice, he has nothing to do with ,"
Liu ngting snorted, and explained seriously, "I’m just worried that if he spends too much ti with Xia Wei’er, he’ll forget about his actual job."
