Under the gaze of a crowd who looked at him as if he were a monster, Tang Ming finally left the restaurant fully satisfied. Thankfully, he had used Liu ngting’s credit card for the al; if he had paid with his own money, he would have regretted it for several minutes.
Not far from the supermarket, a woman dressed in a black leather jacket and wearing sunglasses sat in the driver’s seat of a BMW, having waited for quite so ti.
Shen Yan stared intently at the supermarket in front of her, her hands tenderly caressing the steering wheel.
This was her recently repaired BMW that had cost her a hefty sum to restore to its original condition. Yet today, the car was dood to suffer damage again, because Shen Yan had decided to kill Tang Ming by running him over with the car.
After parting ways with Chen Cang yesterday, Shen Yan had gone ho to ponder over her assassination plans for Tang Ming.
Tang Ming was a high-level Martial Artist, so stabbing him had no effect and only resulted in her being humiliated each ti.
Using poison was even less feasible; even the toxins from the Poison Sect were ineffective against Tang Ming, and with i Dufeng, the idiot, rolling back to the Poison Sect, she had lost all hope that the Poison Sect could kill him.
Sniping seed unreliable against a high-level Martial Artist, and guns were strictly regulated in the country, not easy to obtain, and more likely to expose her.
...
After much thought, Shen Yan couldn’t co up with a good plan. In a mont of desperation, she decided to create a traffic accident and run over Tang Ming with her car.
Even an Eight-star Martial Artist would suffer greatly from being hit by a car, and she planned to finish him off with a follow-up attack. It was just a pity for her freshly repaired BMW.
After eating his fill, Tang Ming stepped out of the supermarket, burping contentedly as he stood at the entrance to rest. After all, there was no danger to Liu ngting once she reached school, and he was in no rush to return to class.
At that mont, Shen Yan fiercely stepped on the accelerator, pushing the BMW to its limits, and plowed determinedly towards her target.
Caught off guard while stretching, Tang Ming seed unable to react in ti to the sudden crash, and the result was...
A loud bang echoed as the airbag deployed, protecting Shen Yan’s face.
"I don’t believe I can’t kill you this ti."
Shen Yan pressed the airbag down with her left hand, drawing a dagger with her right, ready to exit the car and deliver the finishing blow, convinced by the violent collision that she had successfully sent her target flying.
After slicing the airbag open, Shen Yan looked up, ready to search for where Tang Ming had been thrown, only to find him standing unhard in front of the BMW, staring straight at her.
Shen Yan opened her mouth wide, stunned.
"Hey, what’s the matter with your driving? You’ve hit soone, you know?"
Tang Ming slamd his hand on the hood, bellowing angrily, "Get out of the car! Don’t think I’ll let you off because you’re a woman."
"This is insane!"
Shen Yan hurriedly put away her dagger and got out to check.
When she exited the car, Shen Yan saw the front of the BMW dented as though it had just crashed into a pole. The thought of another hefty repair bill made her heart ache, compounded by the fact that Tang Ming seed completely unscathed.
Shen Yan’s eyes widened in disbelief as she looked back and forth between Tang Ming and the BMW—was this still even human? The car was wrecked, yet the person was unhard.
If Tang Ming had still been an Eight-star Martial Artist, being hit like that by a car would have broken both his legs, even if it didn’t kill him. Unfortunately for her, after last night’s cultivation, Tang Ming had reached the peak of Nine-star, and the strength of his body was incomparable to before. The most important thing was that he had just consud a substantial amount of food; getting hit by a car was one thing, but even a truck wouldn’t have been able to take him down without a fight.
In fact, Tang Ming had always kept a secret unknown to others: his ability to fight beyond his level relied entirely on his imnse consumption of food. His body stored vast amounts of energy, far exceeding that of Martial Artists at the sa level.
The reason he could eat so much was that his body could convert the food into energy and store it, then unleash that energy in a burst when necessary, transforming it into an energy ball to launch an attack.
When he saw the BMW charging towards him, Tang Ming had imdiately concentrated all his energy in his legs to withstand the impact of the car. As a result, the recently repaired, unlucky car was dented once more, while his legs remained unhard. The only loss was... the food he had just eaten at the supermarket had been consud.
"Watching sothing, never seen a handso guy before... huh, aren’t you the daughter of that crazy old man from last night?"
Tang Ming recognized Shen Yan and imdiately shouted loudly, "Your dad is crazy, are you crazy too? You actually hit with your car, is there no law anymore?"
"Hmph, I don’t know what you’re talking about!"
Shen Yan snorted coldly, and after confirming Tang Ming was alright, she turned to get into her car, preparing to leave as she didn’t want to confront this lunatic face to face.
"You stop right there!"
Seeing Shen Yan about to run, Tang Ming imdiately shouted loudly, "Soone help, my leg is broken from being hit, the driver responsible is trying to flee!"
Hearing Tang Ming’s cries, the surrounding crowd quickly gathered around, enclosing Shen Yan’s BMW in the middle to prevent the death-seeking driver from escaping.
"This damn bastard."
Seeing Tang Ming causing such a commotion, Shen Yan cursed through gritted teeth, and got out of her car reluctantly to deal with the situation.
"Thinking you could just hit and run away, how wishful thinking."
Tang Ming asked with a smile as he saw Shen Yan getting out of the car.
"What exactly do you want? I didn’t hit you on purpose."
Shen Yan asked through gritted teeth.
"If you did it on purpose, that would be attempted murder."
Tang Ming curled his lips, clearly aware of what kind of operator this assassin before him was, he dug in his ear and said, "Regardless of whether it was intentional, you hit soone, so you have to pay up."
"How much do you want?"
Faced with everyone’s pointing and staring, Shen Yan just wanted to leave this troubleso place as quickly as possible.
"I won’t make it too difficult for you, just compensate eighty or a hundred thousand, and we can consider the matter closed!"
Tang Ming, sitting on the hood of the car, demanded a huge sum.
"Are you out of your mind wanting that much money?"
Shen Yan’s eyes widened as she shouted incredulously, "You damaged my car and I haven’t even started to settle the score with you, and now you’re trying to extort so much money from !"
"Everybody heard her, she just admitted she hit with her car, and then damaged the car!"
Tang Ming imdiately pointed to the dent on the hood, shouting, "Everyone look at this, the car is damaged to such extent, if it weren’t for my luck, I’d probably have been killed. I’m just asking her to pay up, is that unreasonable?"
"Not at all, not at all, thank goodness no one was hurt, if it had really caused serious harm, money wouldn’t solve the problem, right?"
"Exactly, if she had really caused a disability, the lifelong hospital expenses would be astronomical."
"Hurry up and pay the money!"
...
A few witnesses who saw Shen Yan hit the person with their own eyes pointed at Shen Yan angrily.
Faced with public condemnation, Shen Yan knew she was in the wrong; indeed, she deliberately hit Tang Ming with the car, originally trying to stage a traffic accident to kill Tang Ming, but she didn’t expect it to turn out like this, leaving her with no room to argue.
