"You? Code na, identification number, which departnt do you belong to?"
Lin Canghai looked at Hao Jian with puzzlent. There were not many in the Dark Group he didn’t recognize, and even fewer who dared speak to him this way.
"Ah?"
Hao Jian was slightly startled, having not expected the newcor to be so professional.
Lin Canghai frowned slightly and held out his hand, saying,
"Show your identification; let’s see if you are an imposter."
Hao Jian quickly took out an ID and handed it to Lin Canghai, "Joking? I am the real deal..."
"Dark Group peripheral mber?"
Lin Canghai was taken aback slightly. No wonder he didn’t recognize him; there were many peripheral mbers of the Dark Group, and he couldn’t possibly know them all.
"What now? A peripheral mber is still a mber of the Dark Group."
Hao Jian, feeling a bit embarrassed, then puffed out his chest and cried out with pride, "Who the hell are you, and what’s it to you?"
"Hmph!"
Lin Canghai snorted coldly and without warning, kicked Hao Jian in the stomach.
"Ah!"
Hao Jian gasped in pain and then knelt on the ground.
"You, you dare to hit , you are provoking the Dark Group."
"According to the Dark Group’s regulations, peripheral mbers must not reveal their identity to the public at any ti. You have not only leaked your identity but have also used it to bully others, which is a violation of the rules. Wait for your trial in a military court!"
Lin Canghai threw the ID back at Hao Jian and no longer paid attention to him. A single phone call was all it would take for him to have Liu Gaoze, another peripheral mber, promoted to an official mber, just as he could have Hao Jian removed.
Hao Jian stared at Lin Canghai with a dumbfounded face. Although he did not know the other’s identity, the way the man was so familiar with the Dark Group’s regulations made it clear he was an internal mber. Thinking of the Dark Group’s punishnt system, a cold sweat broke out on his face.
Seeing that Lin Canghai had dealt with Hao Jian as soon as he arrived, Director Liu hurriedly squeezed out a smile, "Officer Lin, what brings you here?"
"I’m here to see him."
Lin Canghai looked at Tang Ming, and his brow furrowed imdiately upon seeing the handcuffs.
Director Liu felt extrely bitter inside; had he known it would co to this, he would not have handcuffed Tang Ming. Clearly, Lin Canghai was not pleased.
Lin Canghai reached out towards the handcuffs on Tang Ming’s wrist, preparing to unlock them.
"I’ll handle this myself this ti."
Tang Ming grinned and applied a slight force with his hands, breaking the handcuffs into several pieces.
"Really, there is no dealing with you."
Lin Canghai smiled helplessly and, pulling Tang Ming along, headed upstairs, calling back without turning his head, "Director Liu, I’ll need to borrow your office. We have official business to discuss."
"Of course!"
Director Liu nodded repeatedly and then sharply turned to Hao Jian, "Captain Zhou, take this impostor... this man into custody and await further proceedings."
"Yes!"
Captain Zhou imdiately dragged away Hao Jian, who was still in a state of confusion.
Tan Ruoxi looked at Lin Canghai and Tang Ming’s retreating figures with astonished suspicion. The events that had just unfolded were too shocking for her, and her mind was filled with questions: If Lin Canghai appeared and directly took down Hao Jian, then what was Lin Canghai’s identity?
Tang Ming was able to break handcuffs with his bare hands; what kind of strength was that? Moreover, it seed Lin Canghai and Tang Ming were quite familiar with each other. What was going on with that?
As for the incident that had just happened, it made quite a commotion, so much so that many police officers ca over to watch.
Seeing Lin Canghai appear and deal with Hao Jian with thunderous asures, not only was Tan Ruoxi dumbfounded, but all the onlookers were also shocked.
No one had expected that Hao Jian, who had been acting all high and mighty before, soone even the police chief would give face to, was now being taught a lesson by Lin Canghai and Tang Ming in turn, stripped of his duties, while the police chief turned a blind eye.
What exactly were the backgrounds and identities of Tang Ming and Lin Canghai? This had beco a mystery in everyone’s minds.
Many police officers felt secretly relieved that, fortunately, when Tang Ming was wandering around the police station earlier, they hadn’t tried to stop him. Otherwise, they might be the ones being disciplined now.
Lin Canghai brought Tang Ming into an office, turned to face him, and said with a smile, "Tang Xin, I’ve solved another problem for you. How are you going to thank ?"
"Cut the crap. This trouble started in the first place because a mber of your Dark Group sought out. I haven’t even co to your higher-ups in the Dark Group to ask for an explanation, and now you want to thank you? If it wasn’t for your sake, that scumbag would’ve gotten more than a broken finger!"
Tang Ming rolled his eyes and asked Lin Canghai impatiently, "What did you want to see for?"
"Haha, you would actually take my feelings into account; I’m really honored!"
Lin Canghai burst into laughter. Since he’d gotten to know Tang Ming, he was often teased by him, so it was quite rare to hear that he’d done sothing for Lin Canghai’s sake!
"Don’t act like I’m so unsociable. If it weren’t out of respect for you, I’d have already taught your troubleso little sister a lesson."
Tang Ming gave Lin Canghai an annoyed look.
"Alright, let’s not talk about this. Whenever you’re in trouble, you must tell imdiately. I will definitely do my best to help you."
Lin Canghai pulled a sofa chair over and placed it in front of Tang Ming, saying enthusiastically, "Sit down first, then we can talk about other things!"
After positioning the chair, Lin Canghai suddenly made his move, concentrating his Martial Energy in his palm and swiftly pressing down on Tang Ming’s shoulder, intending to force him into the chair.
Lin Canghai was full of confidence in this action. Under the imnse pressure of the freak that was Tang Ming, he had successfully broken through to beco an Eight-star Martial Artist and believed he could hold his own against Tang Ming, but...
"Are you sick?"
Just when Lin Canghai thought he could push Tang Ming onto the chair, Tang Ming swept his hand fiercely, sending Lin Canghai flying a good distance away, while looking at him with disgust, "I’m not interested in n. Don’t touch again, or I won’t be polite."
"You, you’ve broken through again?"
Lin Canghai stared at Tang Ming, incredulous. Even though Tang Ming had only reacted casually to his move, Lin Canghai had defended with all his might, yet he was still almost sent flying by Tang Ming’s slap. It dawned on him that Tang Ming had made a breakthrough and was now a Nine-star Martial Artist!
"If there’s nothing else, then I need to get back to class now. Skipping classes too often isn’t what good students do."
Tang Ming sat on the sofa chair with his legs crossed, impatiently urging, proudly thinking: Kid, you just broke through to Eight-star and you dare test ? I’m at the Peak of Nine-star, taking you down is child’s play to .
"Hey, you really are a freak!"
Lin Canghai heaved a resigned sigh, then straightened his back, looked at Tang Ming eagerly and said, "Tang Xin, I sincerely invite you once again to join the Dark Group, hoping you can serve our country..."
"Spare those cliches!"
Tang Ming interrupted Lin Canghai impatiently with a wave of his hand, saying disinterestedly, "Leave the big tasks like serving the country and the people to you. I’m just a small fry with no such grand ideals! I’ve got more important things to do!"
