"What do you want with ?" Tang Ming stepped out of the classroom, asking impatiently.
"Heh, I just ca to see you." Zhou Haotian instantly put on a smile, rubbing his hands together as he said:
"How was the food at the birthday banquet the other day?"
"Speak your mind, fart if you must, but cut the crap. I need to get back to sleep."
Tang Ming looked at Zhou Haotian with irritation.
Zhou Haotian’s smile froze on his face, but in order to get the Detoxification Pill, he had to endure it, squeezing out a smile as he asked:
"I’ve co on behalf of the Zhou Family to discuss the Detoxification Pill with you."
"What’s there to discuss? The Detoxification Pill was already consud by the young master of the Li Family." Tang Ming squinted his eyes and said indifferently:
"That was a birthday present Zhou Dafu gave to elder Zhou, it’s a pity so people were too blind to recognize its value and treated it like trash."
"Cough cough, that was an accident, I believe you must still have another Detoxification Pill." Zhou Haotian coughed awkwardly and got straight to the point:
"Na your price. As long as you are willing to part with the Detoxification Pill, my Zhou Family is willing to pay any price to purchase it."
"Purchase?" Tang Ming laughed, looking at Zhou Haotian oddly:
"You guys are really sothing. Passing up a Detoxification Pill that was gifted for free, insisting on spending money to buy one. Even with money, you shouldn’t be so capricious, right?"
"You, just na your price." Seeing Tang Ming’s continuous sarcasm, Zhou Haotian said through gritted teeth.
"Sorry, the Detoxification Pill is priceless, I’m not selling."
Tang Ming declined without hesitation, directly stating he wasn’t selling but not saying he didn’t have any, leaving so wiggle room for the Zhou Family.
"Even sothing ’priceless’ can be sold at a price. The Zhou Family isn’t short on money, just tell how much you want?"
Zhou Haotian snorted coldly, thinking Tang Ming was deliberately driving a hard bargain.
"Can’t you understand plain language? I said I’m not selling, no matter how much money is offered." Tang Ming rolled his eyes and muttered:
"Lest soone claims my elixirs are fake, I don’t want my reputation ruined."
"Can you please not bring up the past?" Zhou Haotian said irritably:
"I was wrong about what happened before, I can apologize to you. But the Detoxification Pill is very important to my Zhou Family. What will it take for you to part with it?"
"Are you asking to set my terms?" Tang Ming touched his chin with interest.
"Yes, as long as you ntion your conditions, my Zhou Family will definitely et them."
Zhou Haotian assured him with great magnanimity.
"Alright, then go die. As soon as you’re dead, I’ll hand over the Detoxification Pill imdiately, free of charge."
Tang Ming nodded and put forth his conditions with a playful tone.
"You, don’t push people too far."
Upon hearing Tang Ming’s terms, Zhou Haotian shouted with a grimace.
"You were the one who told to set the conditions. I set them. If you can’t et them, how can you bla ?" Tang Ming said contemptuously, curling his lip.
Zhou Haotian was infuriated, montarily unsure of what to do, when he suddenly noticed Zhou Dafu standing behind Tang Ming, breaking into a smile as he said:
"As long as you’re willing to sell the Detoxification Pill, Zhou Dafu and his mother can return to the Zhou Family, and I guarantee they will never be bullied in the Zhou Family again. How about that?"
"That’s a viable condition." Tang Ming nodded, turning to look at Zhou Dafu:
"Fatty, what do you think?"
"Not much." Zhou Dafu pursed his lips, speaking indifferently:
"The Zhou Family has always bullied us, mother and child, never treating us as part of the family. Soone even tried to put to death at the birthday banquet. Why would I want to return to such a family?"
"Zhou Dafu, don’t forget you carry the blood of the Zhou Family. Now that the old master needs a Detoxification Pill to cure the poison, how can you say such irresponsible things? Are you still worthy of being a Zhou Family descendant?"
Zhou Haotian looked at Zhou Dafu with a displeased expression.
"It seems I was never deed worthy of being a Zhou Family descendant anyway, or else why was I driven out of the Zhou Family? I had no choice but to live in a house owned by the Ma Family with my mother, nearly cast out into the streets. Now, the house we live in was purchased by Brother Ming, having nothing to do with the Zhou Family."
Zhou Dafu sneered coldly, "Besides, I made it clear at the birthday banquet that from now on, I have no ties to the Zhou Family. As for the old master’s needs, you ’true’ Zhou Family disciples will have to help."
"Right, a real man keeps his word. I said I wouldn’t return, so I won’t." Tang Ming patted Zhou Dafu on the shoulder, then walked back into the classroom, not looking back as he said:
"Beat it. I’m not selling you the Detoxification Pill. I’m going back to sleep."
"Damn it!" Watching Tang Ming and Zhou Dafu enter the building, Zhou Haotian was seething with hatred but utterly helpless, leaving dejectedly.
Upon returning to the Zhou Family, Zhou Haotian was summoned into the old master’s study where Zhou Xianren and the old master were waiting for him.
"What did Tang Ming say?" Zhou Xianren asked impatiently.
"Sorry, he refused to sell the Detoxification Pill," Zhou Haotian replied, shaking his head helplessly.
"Did he refuse to sell it, or does he not have it?" the old master asked expressionlessly while sitting in his chair.
"He refused to sell." Zhou Haotian responded firmly, clenched his teeth, and said, "That guy is too arrogant. Not only did he refuse to sell, but he also spoke ill of our Zhou Family, showing no respect whatsoever. I shouldn’t have gone to beg him."
"Hmph, you should not have offended him. Because of a shaless woman like Moli, you brought such a troubleso character upon the Zhou Family. All your doing," the old master snorted coldly; he already knew about the feud between Zhou Haotian and Tang Ming.
"Father, there’s no point talking about it now. Moli has been driven out, let’s not bring this up again in the future."
Zhou Xianren knew that the old master was most averse to these issues and quickly tried to smooth things over.
"You still have the audacity to speak? If it wasn’t for you suspecting the Detoxification Pill was fake and crushing it, we wouldn’t have to go begging like this."
The old master glared at Zhou Xianren fiercely, then said while tapping on the table:
"It was my negligence. That Tang Ming is Su Xiaoxi’s boyfriend, and the Su Family holds what kind of status? The boyfriend of the Su Family’s treasured daughter couldn’t possibly be ordinary!"
"Grandfather, why don’t we go see Su Xiaoxi and ask her to talk to Tang Ming? Maybe we can get the Detoxification Pill," Zhou Haotian suggested uncertainly.
"Do you think I haven’t thought of that?" the old master snorted coldly, saying helplessly:
"I’ve already called Mr. Su, but he wasn’t even aware that Su Xiaoxi had a boyfriend. He’s probably interrogating Su Xiaoxi about what’s going on. I let people from the Su Family know about Tang Ming, and Su Xiaoxi must harbor resentnt. She would hardly help us."
"So what do we do now?" Zhou Haotian muttered worriedly.
"Your visit to see Tang Ming was just a test. Now it’s ti for to take action personally."
The old master sighed. The idea of him, a martial master, begging Tang Ming was sowhat humiliating, but for the sake of his injury, he would have to endure the sha.
