Watching Tang Ming’s indifferent deanor, Xia Wei’er felt an even greater sense of loss, small matters that ant little in Tang Ming’s eyes were insurmountable challenges for her—the gap between them was simply too vast.
"Perhaps only a superb woman like Liu ngting could truly match him," she thought.
Xia Wei’er’s feelings of inferiority began to trouble her, making Tang Ming seem even more out of reach.
"Have you had enough to eat?" Feeling dejected, Xia Wei’er didn’t know how to continue interacting with Tang Ming and weakly initiated a conversation.
"Still..." Tang Ming glanced in the direction where Li Xiaoli had left, but ended up seeing Liu ngting and Li Xiaoli staring at him with ill intentions, which made him shiver: "I’m full, what about you?"
The al was already under the watchful eyes of Liu ngting and Li Xiaoli; eating any more could lead to chaos, so it was best to end it early.
"Then let’s head back," Xia Wei’er said, standing up.
Tang Ming nodded and left the restaurant with Xia Wei’er.
"I have other matters to deal with, so I won’t co to your place. Is that okay?"
Thinking about the two grand ladies he needed to attend to at the door, Tang Ming suggested that Xia Wei’er go back first.
"Okay, thank you," Xia Wei’er nodded, her mood desolate as she left.
Inside the restaurant.
Just as Li Xiaoli and Liu ngting were about to follow them, the waiter who had brought the steak to Tang Ming suddenly stepped in front of Li Xiaoli, enthusiastically declaring:
"Hello, are you new here? This restaurant is owned by my uncle. Let’s get to know each other; I’ll take care of you if you work here."
Anxious to chase after Tang Ming, Li Xiaoli imdiately widened her eyes and shouted discontentedly:
"Are you blind? I ca here to eat, why do you think I’m working? I don’t need your care."
"Huh?" The waiter was slightly taken aback, looking Li Xiaoli up and down, "But you’re wearing our restaurant’s uniform!"
"Can’t people have the sa outfit? Move out of the way, I’m in a hurry here."
Impatiently pushing past the waiter, Li Xiaoli quickly ran out of the restaurant with Liu ngting.
"What’s the situation? Can uniforms also match?" The waiter looked baffled as he watched Li Xiaoli’s retreating figure.
"Damn waiter, he held up, and I lost track of them," Li Xiaoli raged as she stepped out of the restaurant.
"They might have gone to book a room?" Liu ngting asked with an ugly expression.
"Very possible," Li Xiaoli stamped her foot and said morosely:
"Hope Tang Ming brought protection. If there’s an accidental pregnancy, it would be troubleso."
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Tang Ming appeared, his face lined with irritation. The chance to have a satisfying al was spoilt by Li Xiaoli, and for Tang Ming, who hated not eating well, this was a serious matter.
"Tang Ming, you weren’t going to book a room with Xia Wei’er!"
Li Xiaoli stared at Tang Ming and exclaid with surprise.
"Get your mind out of the gutter. How did you guys end up here?" Tang Ming rolled his eyes, asking irritably.
"I and Xiao Li also ca here to eat, is that not allowed?"
Nervously watching Tang Ming, Liu ngting said, "Heh, it’s okay for you to co here for a date, but not okay for us to eat?"
"Really?" Tang Ming drew out his words, looking at Li Xiaoli with a playful expression:
"Then what’s with her outfit? And, if it’s just a al, why dress up as waitstaff and co here talking and acting oddly—why is that?"
"This..." Liu ngting suddenly found herself at a loss for words, quickly turning to Li Xiaoli for help.
"Heehee, we were just ssing around with you!" Li Xiaoli cleverly confessed.
"Monitor just admit it, I had already noticed you all!"
Tang Ming rolled his eyes, annoyed, while rubbing his stomach:
"You all made unable to eat my fill, now you have to treat to a al to make up for my loss."
"No problem, you can choose the place, but it has to be a buffet."
Liu ngting readily agreed, as long as it could disrupt Tang Ming’s date with another woman, she didn’t mind treating him a few more tis.
In a seafood buffet restaurant not far from the Liu Family, Tang Ming, while attacking a table full of seafood, asked nonchalantly:
"So, tell , what exactly was all this about today?"
Seeing Tang Ming starting to interrogate, Liu ngting didn’t know how to respond for a mont and quickly turned to Li Xiaoli for help.
Li Xiaoli’s eyes flickered, and she suddenly slamd the table: "Brother Tang Ming, this is where you’re wrong."
"Huh?"
Tang Ming, with a crab leg in his mouth, stared blankly at Li Xiaoli, not even having started to get angry yet, wondering why Li Xiaoli was blowing her top first.
"What do you an ’huh’? You should be aware of your role, you’re ng ng’s bodyguard, and although a bodyguard has the right to date, how could you neglect ng ng’s safety and go on a date alone?"
Li Xiaoli scolded seriously, "What if we encountered bad people on our way back? What if soone hard ng ng while you were on your date?"
"This, this is nothing, right?"
Tang Ming spat out the crab leg in frustration, recalling the incident when Liu ngting was ambushed on the road, he suddenly beca alert; he truly had been careless today.
"It’s too late when sothing happens." Li Xiaoli sighed.
"Yeah, yeah, exactly that."
Liu ngting nodded repeatedly, secretly admiring Li Xiaoli’s ability to adapt on the fly, managing to take the initiative from a passive situation.
"Brother Tang Ming, we just hope you can concentrate on being a bodyguard, your divided attentions make us very uneasy."
Li Xiaoli looked at Tang Ming with dissatisfaction and continued, "And what’s so good about Xia Wei’er? Don’t we have beauties at ho?"
As Li Xiaoli spoke, she gestured to herself and Liu ngting’s faces.
"Yes." Tang Ming had to nod; Liu ngting and Li Xiaoli indeed were rare beauties.
"Don’t we have ample chests for you to admire at ho?"
Li Xiaoli puffed out her chest and pointed toward Liu ngting’s legs: "Don’t we have long legs for you to look at?"
"Cough cough, yes, yes!" Tang Ming nodded repeatedly.
Watching Tang Ming act like a kid who had done sothing wrong, Liu ngting chuckled smugly, but Li Xiaoli’s next words almost made her choke.
"Hmph, and yet you still go chasing after other flowers, truly blind. With such two beauties waiting at ho for you to [censored], and you still go looking elsewhere, that’s such a waste of resources."
Li Xiaoli snorted unhappily, "Although ’a rabbit doesn’t eat grass by its own burrow,’ since there’s grass by the burrow, why would you still need to run all over the place?"
"Pfft!"
Upon hearing this, Tang Ming imdiately spat out the juice he had just drunk.
