"The past is the past, we still have to look forward," Tang Ming withdrew his gaze, gave a bitter smile, and cautioned,
"Boss, when you hire bodyguards again, make sure not to let them live with the young miss. Not everyone is as upright as . If that guy were to take advantage of his position, the young miss and Xiaoli, being two defenseless won, would be unable to resist."
"I understand!"
Liu Gaoze nodded, "To be honest, I rather hoped you would take advantage of your position. Do you understand what I an?"
"No can do, who told to be a man of high morals?"
Tang Ming jokingly said this and then strode towards the exit, not looking back as he waved his hand, "I have an appointnt, so I won’t eat here."
"You’re leaving just like that?"
Liu Gaoze looked at Tang Ming’s retreating figure with a complex expression, talking to himself.
When Tang Ming drove the Ferrari out of the yard, Li Xiaoli, who stood behind the curtains on the third floor, tightly grasped the curtains, holding back her tears:
"ng Ting, Brother Tang Ming is really leaving, won’t you take one last look at him?"
"There’s nothing to see, just a thankless wretch,"
Liu ngting, who was buried under the covers on the bed, responded coldly.
At this mont, Liu ngting’s face, turned away from Li Xiaoli, was covered with tears, and the pillow had been soaked by them, but she forced herself not to make any noise from crying, because she did not want Li Xiaoli to see.
"Brother Tang Ming, goodbye."
Li Xiaoli looked longingly at the departing car, sobbing continuously as she waved her hand.
anwhile, Tang Ming, who was driving away, also felt very distressed, but he forced himself not to look back. After he left the yard, he floored the accelerator, speeding away from the Binjiang District as if fleeing.
Tang Ming drove to Jun Tianhao Grand Hotel, where Su Xiaoxi would be staying. En route, he dialed Xia Wei’er’s phone.
"Finished with your tasks, are you leaving now?"
Xia Wei’er spoke as soon as the phone was connected.
"Going to see the last friend, then I’ll co to you," Tang Ming said in a hoarse voice,
"I promised to et you, and I always keep my word."
"Thank you," Xia Wei’er was touched and asked with concern.
"Is it hard parting with Liu ngting and the others?"
"Wei’er, I really don’t want to leave, but I have no choice!"
Tang Ming’s voice began to tremble. If it were not absolutely necessary, he would not want to leave, but he could not confess this to anyone else except Xia Wei’er, to whom he could reveal his true feelings.
"I understand,"
Xia Wei’er knew Tang Ming must be very upset and whispered, "I’m waiting for you at the express hotel at the entrance of the snack street. Co find after you’re done with your things."
"Ah? Why go to a hotel?" Tang Ming was puzzled.
"Let’s talk about it when we et. What ti do you think you’ll co over?"
Xia Wei’er asked sowhat hesitantly.
"After lunch, I should be able to get to you around twelve," Tang Ming calculated the ti, asking uncertainly,
"My train is at three, so I can only spend two hours with you. Is that alright?"
"Sure, even if it’s just two minutes, I’d be content," Xia Wei’er responded tenderly, "I’ll wait for you, no leaving without eting."
"Okay!" Then, Tang Ming hung up the phone.
Tang Ming arrived at the Jun Tianhao Hotel, parked his car, and just as he was about to go in to find Su Xiaoxi, he unexpectedly ran into an acquaintance at the entrance.
"Well, well, isn’t this Tang Ming?"
An Sheng walked out of the hotel with a pretty girl at his side, coming face-to-face with Tang Ming.
"An Sheng!" Tang Ming was slightly surprised and looked them both over. He then realized:
"Dr. An, you seem to be in good spirits. It seems you must have had a rry night."
An Sheng, using his doctor’s identity, had nearly played his way through all the young and beautiful nurses in the hospital. Last night, he brought a nurse who had just begun her internship to check into a room, and now they were checking out and ready to leave.
"Naturally more lively than you!" An Sheng said pridefully, draping his arm around the girl’s waist:
"I, An Sheng, never lack for won. You, with your ruined cultivation, have beco a cripple. I guess no woman would take a liking to you now, huh?"
Hearing this, Tang Ming’s expression changed slightly, and he imdiately replied:
"What are you talking about? I don’t understand what you an?"
"Stop pretending. My grandpa has been digging through dical books lately, all of them about repairing the ridians. He must be looking for a way to restore your cultivation, right?"
An Sheng sneered with schadenfreude: "Never thought you’d see the day, huh? This is the retribution for all that arrogance and swagger you used to show off."
"Damn!" Tang Ming cursed inwardly. Although Grandpa An was trying to help him, currently this allowed An Sheng to learn about his cultivation being crippled. If the word spread out, all his efforts would have been in vain.
"Grandpa An is the Divine Doctor. It’s not strange that he studies dical skills in that area," Tang Ming said, feigning composure as he looked confidently at An Sheng. "As for whether I still have my cultivation, would you like to test it out?"
"Hmph, keep pretending! I am a cultured person, I don’t engage in brawls like you brutes."
An Sheng turned up his nose and walked away with the nurse, shouting without turning back, "If you can’t make it out there, you might as well work for my grandpa. He seems to think highly of your dical skill. And rember, don’t be so arrogant in the future, or you’ll get what’s coming to you! Weren’t you supposed to be skilled in dicine? How co you haven’t healed your own ridians?"
"I must hurry now," Tang Ming thought, his expression darkening as he watched An Sheng’s retreating figure. He knew An Sheng was proud and spiteful by nature and wouldn’t intentionally spread the news of his crippled cultivation. But now that this unstable elent had appeared, he had to leave Songlan City before the potential crisis erupted!
Otherwise, he couldn’t really silence An Sheng, right? Tang Ming also understood the pride of An Sheng and An Tian of the An Family; it wasn’t right to say they were in the wrong.
Realizing the urgency, Tang Ming quickly quickened his pace toward the inside of the hotel.
Parking lot!
An Sheng and the nurse were squatting in a dark corner, trembling with fear. They had been about to retrieve their car when suddenly two fearso strangers appeared and took control of them.
"Kid, I have a few questions for you, and you better answer honestly," i Dufeng said, narrowing his eyes, his face fierce as he stared at An Sheng: "If you dare lie, then I’ll kill you and this chick."
"Who are you guys? I don’t even know you!"
An Sheng looked at a palm print indent on the wall in horror; it was made by Long Duba when he slamd his hand against it earlier.
"You don’t need to know who we are. You just need to honestly answer my questions, and I won’t hurt you. Otherwise..." Long Duba raised his palm and threatened with a sinister smile.
"No, no, please! Ask anything you want, I’ll tell you everything," An Sheng cried out, his face turning pale.
