Now, Tang Ming finally understood why Lin Canghai had wanted him to take this position: it was due to his ability to attract hatred and his fearless approach to things. If soone timid were to take on this role, it wouldn’t take many days before they were either bought off or killed. Tang Ming fit the bill perfectly, as he was impervious to threats and bribery, feared neither heaven nor earth, and lacked allegiance to any sects, making him ideal for the job.
Irritated as he was, the thought of being able to rescue Liu Gaoze made Tang Ming accept his fate. Moreover, he had already agreed to Lin Canghai, and it was too late to back out now.
