"Achoo." Holding a bunch of shopping bags, Tang Ming suddenly sneezed and said gloomily:
"Who could be thinking about ?"
"Tang Ming, you’re not catching a cold, are you?"
Xia Wei’er, walking ahead, turned back and asked with concern.
"No worries, soone is just thinking about ."
Tang Ming grinned and said nonchalantly.
"Although Brother Tang Ming has lost his Cultivation, he’s not so fragile," Li Xiaoli pulled Xia Wei’er along, excitedly shouting:
"The three of us haven’t shopped together in so long, we must splurge today."
"Yao Buji’s card can’t be used anymore, we should still be thrifty in our spending," Xia Wei’er hurriedly reminded.
"Hehe, what are you afraid of? Your almost-boyfriend is really wealthy now, he won’t mind you spending."
Liu ngting laughed lightly, her tone sour, as she gave Tang Ming a glance.
"I, I don’t want to use his money." Xia Wei’er’s face looked a bit troubled, now that Tang Ming was prominent, she was afraid people would say she was cozying up to Tang Ming for his money.
"Wei’er, you’re overthinking it, today we’re making Brother Tang Ming foot the bill for everything,"
Li Xiaoli shouted indifferently: "Isn’t it a man’s job to make money for won to spend? We can’t let Brother Tang Ming make money for nothing."
"Exactly, exactly, if won don’t shop extravagantly, for whom do n earn money?" Tang Ming nodded in agreent.
"Hmph, we’re not your won."
Liu ngting snorted and strode ahead, feeling irked at the sight of Tang Ming and Xia Wei’er appearing together.
"Uh... you guys are the Young Madams, and I’m just an attendant, please treat as invisible."
Tang Ming gave an awkward smile, wondering to himself, I’m not her bodyguard anymore, why do I still have to look out for her mood?
Not wanting to argue with Liu ng, Tang Ming dutifully followed behind the three won like an attendant, while the won, each preoccupied with their own thoughts, deliberately ignored Tang Ming, focusing instead on shopping.
Upon reaching a lingerie store, encouraged by Li Xiaoli, the three won entered to pick out garnts.
This ti Tang Ming was smarter; upon realizing it was a lingerie shop, he imdiately stayed at the entrance, waiting for the three won to co out, so as to avoid being seen as a pervert or experiencing the previous embarrassing situation.
Holding a bunch of items, Tang Ming stood bored at the doorway, yawning. It was ti for dinner, but with the three won caught up in their excitent, showing no intention of eating, he had no choice but to patiently wait.
While waiting, Tang Ming caught a glimpse of a familiar figure skulking nearby, keeping an eye on him, and he couldn’t help but laugh oddly.
A slender figure in a trench coat and sunglasses hid in a pavilion not far from Tang Ming, furrowing her brows as she stared intently at him.
"Has he really lost his Cultivation?"
Shen Yan muttered to herself skeptically.
After Tang Ming had disappeared, her life had returned to normal; she found a nine-to-five job as a secretary, went to work, walked the dog, and even though she was displeased not having killed Tang Ming herself, her days passed rather pleasantly.
But in the past few days, she got a call from Chen Cang telling her that Tang Ming was back.
This news imdiately disrupted her calm life, but she was upset to learn from Chen Cang that Tang Ming had lost his cultivation and had beco a common person.
For Shen Yan, the biggest challenge in assassinating Tang Ming was that he was a powerful individual, and the sense of achievent in killing the strong was the thrill she sought. If Tang Ming had beco a common person, without a task at hand, she could not be bothered to make a move.
In order to find out whether Tang Ming had indeed lost his cultivation, Shen Yan ca over to track him today, hoping to test Tang Ming’s true situation. If he truly had no cultivation left, then she would abandon the assassination; but if he was hiding his cultivation, then she would continue the unfinished assassination mission.
After tracking for a while, just by appearances, Shen Yan could not gauge Tang Ming’s depth. The fellow always seed harmless, and she had been fooled by that deanor before.
"It seems I can only make a move myself to test his reality."
Watching Tang Ming standing at the entrance of the lingerie store, Shen Yan made a decision and imdiately put on her mask and stealthily walked towards Tang Ming.
"Can you guys hurry up? I’m really hungry here."
Tang Ming turned toward the lingerie store, impatiently urging.
At that mont, Shen Yan had already approached him from behind.
When she was less than a ter away, Shen Yan quickly raised her hand and aid a steel needle at the deadly acupoint on the back of Tang Ming’s neck.
As long as the needle penetrated, Tang Ming would die on the spot. She had done this kind of thing many tis before.
Just as the sharp tip of the steel needle was less than half a centiter from Tang Ming’s skin, Shen Yan abruptly withdrew her hand and stopped her motion.
"Hm?"
Tang Ming turned his head in confusion and saw a woman wearing sunglasses and a mask standing behind him, which gave him a fright.
"What’s the matter? I’m not a pervert; I’m just waiting for soone here."
"Cough, cough, it’s nothing."
Shen Yan coughed and strode away.
"Are you sick? Standing so close to ."
Watching Shen Yan’s retreating figure, Tang Ming shouted in displeasure, but a strange smile appeared on his lips.
"Damn it, that guy really had no cultivation. Otherwise, I couldn’t have gotten so close to him without any reaction, especially at the mont I was about to kill him."
Shen Yan walked on, thinking grumpily. If she had not withdrawn her hand just in ti, Tang Ming would be dead, but that would have given her no sense of achievent, just like randomly killing any animal without significance.
Leaving the main street, Shen Yan got into her newly bought BMW, removed her sunglasses and mask, and fiercely smashed the steering wheel.
"So boring. I wonder if his cultivation can be restored. Killing him right now wouldn’t be interesting at all. I can only wait until his cultivation is restored before I co to finish him off."
Shen Yan started the car with frustration. Now, there was no longer a mission compelling her to assassinate Tang Ming. Previously, her persistence to kill Tang Ming was just to challenge herself and achieve the satisfaction of assassinating a strong individual. But now that Tang Ming had beco a common person, she had lost interest.
Shen Yan drove away, planning to confront Tang Ming directly when he was alone, deciding not to kill him for the ti being. She would wait until the day his cultivation was restored; that would be his end.
The thought of such a domineering scenario excited Shen Yan.
What she did not know was that even if the steel needle had entered his skin, with Tang Ming’s current cultivation, it couldn’t have killed him. He didn’t want Shen Yan to find out about his cultivation because he had already understood this persistent female assassin’s character.
After sending Shen Yan away, Tang Ming continued shopping with the three won. In the end, it was only by generously inviting the three beauties to dinner that he managed to prevent them from wanting to shop further.
