"Oh, then it’s settled, Tang Ming, you go first; Auntie will pay the bill in a bit."
Wei’er’s mother said as she wiped her mouth.
After Tang Ming got up, he quickly walked forward, looking for Miss Liu.
Xia Wei’er glared fiercely at Tang Ming and thought angrily, "You bad guy, making get scolded, just you wait."
As Tang Ming walked along Snack Street, he soon spotted Liu ngting and Li Xiaoli at a stall selling cold noodles, both of their faces red from the spice, foreheads sweating, and lips glistening with oil.
Liu ngting couldn’t handle spicy food, drinking water non-stop and fanning her mouth with her hand, while Li Xiaoli, thoroughly enjoying herself, drank a beverage alongside and was a true foodie.
Seeing that the two of them were alright, Tang Ming approached them. Liu ngting felt soone coming from behind and quickly turned around to see it was Tang Ming.
"Are you full? Do you want so cold noodles?"
Liu ngting asked.
Tang Ming shook his head and said, "I just had rice noodles, I’m full."
"I’m full too."
Li Xiaoli wiped her mouth, stood up, and pointed towards the Peninsula Coffee Shop in front, saying,
"Let’s go, we can grab a drink there and rest a bit before heading back."
"Alright."
Liu ngting took money out of her pocket to pay the bill, and then the three of them headed straight for the coffee shop.
Peninsula Coffee Shop had unique interior decoration, a large space, and not too many custors at the mont since it wasn’t peak ti yet. They pushed open the glass door and entered the coffee shop.
Liu ngting and Li Xiaoli walked arm in arm, with Tang Ming following behind. Liu ngting spoke to Li Xiaoli,
"Let’s find a table for two to talk business, and just let Tang Ming sit nearby."
"Sure, what ng ng said suits just fine; otherwise, having Tang Ming, that bumpkin, with the two of us beauties in the coffee shop would be quite embarrassing."
Li Xiaoli agreed.
Liu ngting playfully flicked her nose and admonished, "We can’t order alcohol later, just juice."
Alcohol was commonly sold in coffee shops, with a variety to rival any bar, only that coffee shops were much quieter and more convenient for conversations.
"I thought I could have a little drink after school?"
Li Xiaoli held up a finger and said,
"ng ng, what if I just have one bottle of fruit wine, what do you think?"
"No dice, this isn’t up for discussion; I don’t want to see you going crazy with drink. You’re a lightweight, you get drunk with just a little, and when you’re out on dates, it’s best not to drink or else it’s too easy for n to take advantage. "
Liu ngting said with a smile.
Li Xiaoli blushed, "ng ng, I don’t even have a boyfriend yet, how could I possibly go out on dates."
"Hehe, looks like you’re ready to find a boyfriend. How about Tang Ming? He can fight and he’s average-looking, won’t embarrass you if you take him out."
Liu ngting teased Li Xiaoli with a playful bump.
"Not bad, but he’s ng ng’s bodyguard, I wouldn’t want to snatch him away!"
Li Xiaoli smiled as she demurred.
As soon as she and another girl walked into the café with Tang Ming, a waitress in uniform approached and said politely,
"Welco, may I ask how many are in your party?"
"Three of us, but the two of us need a table for two to discuss so things. Just find him a seat for one."
Liu ngting told the waitress.
"Certainly."
The waitress nodded and led the trio into the main hall before finding them their respective seats.
The spot Tang Ming got was fairly distant from Liu ngting and Li Xiaoli, but fortunately, he could see both of them at a glance.
Sitting in his single booth, Tang Ming just ordered a bottle of wine and started drinking. Soone else was paying, so why not drink to his heart’s content? The alcohol content didn’t affect him in the slightest; it was just that he had never tried it before and wanted to give it a taste.
At this mont, in the café, Tang Ming looked like a love-struck young man drowning his sorrows in alcohol alone, while Liu ngting and Li Xiaoli were like naïve young girls visiting a café for a heart-to-heart chat.
The so-called "discussing issues" turned out to be gossiping about the lingerie they bought that day, but of course, they couldn’t let Tang Ming hear such topics.
A café has a similar vibe to a bar, where a group of white-collar workers also gather. They co to such places both to showcase their taste and to see if they might be lucky enough to encounter a romantic fling.
For the white-collar crowd, the best target is undoubtedly soone like Tang Ming who cos alone to the café. Unfortunately for them, he was a man, and dressed too plainly without the looks of a wealthy hunk, which imdiately made many of the female white-collars lose interest. Conversely, over by Liu ngting, the beauty of the two school belles attracted quite a few wolfish stares.
Not only were the two school belles gorgeous, their attire and the jewelry they sported were also quite expensive, and many sharp-eyed white-collars and wolves could tell at a glance who were truly affluent and who were pretending.
But both in terms of temperant and attire, Liu ngting and her companion completely matched the image of privileged young ladies.
Two beauties, pure and naïve, naturally beca the objects of desire for many a lecherous man, each one plotting in his head what coincidental eting could create the most perfect, soul-ensnaring mont.
Halfway through a bottle of red wine, Tang Ming acted utterly like a man who’d been dumped, though of course, his eyes occasionally flitted over to where Liu ngting and Li Xiaoli were seated, worrying that sothing untoward might happen to them.
"Handso, drinking alone?"
Suddenly, a voice approached, dripping with seductiveness.
When Tang Ming looked up, he saw a woman in her twenties, alluring and inviting with a makeup style ant to entice n, an hourglass figure, and a dress that covered only what was necessary below her chest, making her irresistibly sexy. She was like a fairy from the forest, even more lethal to n than Liu ngting and Li Xiaoli.
"Yes, this sister, this here is a seat for one. I’m afraid there’s no place for you."
Tang Ming replied, holding his wine glass with a smile.
"Oh."
Being outright rejected made Su Xiaoxi feel quite uncomfortable. With her beauty, n would orbit her, eager to engage with her, let alone share a drink! In this café, several n had asked her for a drink, but she turned down every one of them, finally setting her eyes on Tang Ming.
First, Tang Ming was young and focused only on his wine, not looking around for single won to chat up, clearly not on the hunt for a fling.
Second, such youngsters typically have the weakest self-control. They haven’t encountered many won, and they might very well offer themselves up the mont a ’Fairy’ type of woman takes the initiative. But when Su Xiaoxi thought she had him in the bag, there was a hitch.
This young man showed no interest in her!
This undoubtedly dealt a heavy blow to Su Xiaoxi’s pride. But after a few quick glances, she noticed how Tang Ming’s glances often strayed towards the two girls ahead and imdiately realized she wasn’t the target of this young man. It was the innocent beauties like Liu ngting and Li Xiaoli who captivated him.
