Chapter 27: Chanting Scriptures Also Counts as Ti

Under the moonlight.

Zhang Su’s monk robe was disheveled, her front wide open. The moon-white inner garnt revealed the flesh beneath, and within that flesh, two large, hazy masses faintly showed.

Her face was flushed red, her eyes shimring with moisture, her lips bitten with uneven teeth marks.

It was an indescribable situation.

But the problem was—

Since the other party had already misunderstood, if he didn’t actually do anything, wouldn’t that be a loss?

With that thought,

Fang Chang coldly reached forward, his fingertip brushing lightly across that curve through the inner garnt.

That breathtaking sensation made Fang Chang recall a car from his previous life that had left a deep impression on him.

—BMW E39.

That generation of the 5 Series had a waistline that was restrained, contained, not ostentatious.

It tightened slightly here, then subtly stretched there, every transition perfectly balanced.

The Hofister kink was the sa—seemingly casual, yet it achieved a classic proportion.

But the most impressive part was still its frontal presence, because—

—the headlights of the BMW E39 were truly large.

“Amitabha…”

Zhang Su’s body arched backward.

Those four words ca out fragnted, scattered into the night wind, broken into pieces.

“No self… no person… no sentient beings… no lifespan…”

“Chanting scriptures?”

Fang Chang lowered his head, leaning close to her ear. “Chanting scriptures also counts as ti.”

His breath brushed against her petal-like earlobe.

Rapidly, it turned from pale to pink.

Her body softened.

Like snow eting spring sunlight, collapsing inch by inch, lting into a pool of spring water.

Yet stubbornly, she continued reciting: “If lustful thoughts are not removed, one cannot leave the dust… even with great wisdom and ditative concentration present, if lust is not severed, one will inevitably fall into the demonic path…”

Fang Chang paid no attention, continuing.

A muffled whimper rolled out of her throat, cut off halfway, leaving only a trembling tail between her teeth.

“Don’t…”

she said.

There was now a trace of pleading in her tone.

Fang Chang smiled.

He released his hand.

She fell back, like a fish out of water, gasping heavily.

When she opened her eyes again, they were misty, tears mixed with anger.

Fang Chang did not care.

There were plenty of people who hated him.

“If you’re not convinced, feel free to co find .”

With that said, he dispersed the Blood Thorn Cord.

Unhurriedly, he returned the teapot that had held the goji berry tea back to the kitchen, then just as leisurely passed by Zhang Su, heading toward the guest rooms.

Throughout, he did not glance at Zhang Su again.

Zhang Su also did not dare to move in the slightest, until she watched his figure pass the corner and completely disappear.

Only then did the heavy weight in her heart crash down.

Her earlobes and chest were burning hot, tingling as if thousands of ants were crawling over them.

‘If you’re not convinced, feel free to co find ,’

Those words suddenly flashed through her mind.

Imdiately,

a look of fear flashed in her eyes.

She did not dare.

Even with a hundred tis more courage, she would not dare.

Fang Chang was like an old monster, more terrifying than any cultivator she had ever seen.

Zhang Su had a premonition—if he had been serious, she would already be dead.

She bit her lip tightly, straightening her clothes.

After sweeping her divine sense once to confirm no one was around, she quickly returned to her room.

Given everything that had happened during the day,

for safety,

earlier Zhang Su had already moved into the sa room as her niece, Lü Muxue.

At this mont, when she returned, she saw Lü Muxue smiling sweetly, pouring and drinking that orange fruit tea by herself.

The orange fruit tea brought by that man nad Fang Chang.

Zhang Su’s hands trembled slightly.

“Aunt?”

Lü Muxue suddenly called out, her tone filled with confusion.

“What is it?”

“Why are your clothes so ssy, Aunt?”

Zhang Su’s whole body trembled as she quickly lowered her head.

She saw that the moon-white inner garnt had folded inward in one section, making it look as though a layer of underclothing was missing.

Such a careless mistake in haste!

Zhang Su scolded herself inwardly.

On the surface, she forced herself to remain calm and straightened her clothes.

“Perhaps I was careless just now.”

Lü Muxue did not pay much attention. Instead, as if seeing a rare careless side of her aunt, she smiled and said, “That’s unusual. Aunt is always ticulous… If soone else saw this, they might say Aunt went to secretly et another man.”

In Zhang Su’s mind, Fang Chang’s frivolous yet handso face flashed for an instant.

The tingling heat in her chest had yet to dissipate, that sensation of being grasped and lifted…

She hurriedly refuted, “I did not! Don’t speak nonsense!”

Lü Muxue was startled by her aunt’s reaction.

She felt a bit guilty.

But being spoiled since childhood, words of yielding would not co out.

So she simply changed the topic. “What does Aunt think about what Fang Chang said?”

Zhang Su’s thoughts were in chaos. “What Fang Chang! What words?! I have never t him!”

“Why is Aunt so jumpy today?”

“I… I…”

Zhang Su could not speak.

Her mouth began silently reciting the Diamond Sutra: ‘All Bodhisattva Mahasattvas should thus give rise to a pure mind, not dwelling in form to give rise to mind, not dwelling in sound, sll, taste, touch, or dharma to give rise to mind, but giving rise to mind without dwelling anywhere…’

Lü Muxue took another sip of the orange fruit tea.

“I an the solution to the imperial dragon aura. Does Fang Chang truly have another thod? One that doesn’t involve others?”

Zhang Su lightly bit her lip.

She very much wanted to say no.

But for so reason, she felt that man did have a way.

“There are three thousand Great Daos. Even if there is, it would not be strange.”

Lü Muxue let out an “oh,” thoughtful.

She paired it with crispy fried pastries.

Then took another sip of the fruit tea.

Zhang Su ca back to her senses and admonished, “When receiving food and drink, treat it as taking dicine. Whether good or bad, do not increase or decrease.”

This was a teaching from the Sutra of Bequeathed Teachings regarding ‘knowing asure.’

It ant that food should be treated like dicine, its purpose to cure the illness of hunger, and one must not overindulge.

Lü Muxue was already used to her aunt’s lectures.

She smiled and did not mind.

She even poured a cup for Zhang Su.

“Aunt, have a taste—does it match Mother’s exactly?”

At the ntion of her mother—Zhang Su’s elder sister—

Zhang Su’s heart softened.

She took the tea and took a light sip.

The sweet flavor swirled on her tongue, stirring past mories.

Her expression unconsciously softened.

“It’s about eighty to ninety percent similar.”

“Right! Then Aunt, have another cup.”

“You little rascal, are you trying to make Aunt drink too so I won’t lecture you?”

Lü Muxue smiled sweetly and leaned over, her baby-fat face rubbing affectionately against her aunt’s shoulder.

“How could that be! When Muxue has sothing good, the first person she thinks of is Aunt! It’s just…”

Zhang Su was imrsed in nostalgia, her beautiful face full of gentleness as she unconsciously poured herself another cup.

“Just what?”

“Could I ask Aunt to help with sothing? Find a chance to test Fang Chang for —see if he really has a solution to the imperial dragon aura?”

Zhang Su froze completely, the cup hovering midair.

“You… you can ask him yourself.”

“Oh co on! Back at the viewing platform, my attitude was… like that! If I go ask again, it’d be too embarrassing!”

Zhang Su’s expression turned unnatural. “You little troublemaker, you want Aunt to lose face for you?”

“Pleeease, please, please~~ Aunt is the best~~”
