Chapter 46: The Cultivation of This Poor Nun

Fang Chang looked around, only rembering that he was within the territory of Jinzhou, but he did not know the specific na of this forest.

He quickly ca to terms with it.

He was familiar with Fallen Immortal, but not to the extent of knowing it like the back of his hand.

He was far from the point where, just by hearing a place na, he would know all the events and plotlines that would occur there.

Moreover,

the sheer scale of the ga’s content was like a world that had truly co into existence—its full scope impossible to grasp.

Still,

he could recognize most of the faces that had participated in major storylines in Fallen Immortal. If he saw them, there was a high probability he would know who they were.

“Let’s go take a look.”

Fang Chang said.

Zhang Su pressed her palms together and advised, “In the cultivation world, if we encounter unfamiliar people fighting, we should proceed cautiously. On one hand, to avoid being caught in the crossfire; on the other, to avoid being seen as opportunistic villains.”

There were plenty of cases where the snipe and clam fought, and the fisherman benefited.

As soone of the orthodox path, Zhang Su adhered to rules and possessed a high moral standard. Naturally, she would avoid any reputation that ca from taking advantage under dangerous circumstances.

Zhao Yuntong did not deny Zhang Su’s words.

“What for? Don’t tell you want to go pick up corpses again.”

She sneered.

She recalled that when the two first t, Fang Chang had barged into her and Cheng Hua’s battle.

“Don’t slander … just watching the excitent. And really, who doesn’t like a bit of gossip?”

Fang Chang smiled, excitent rising at the corner of his lips.

He liked situations like this—unknown and unpredictable.

It gave him the feeling of once again imrsing himself in the process of pioneering and exploration.

Since he had spoken, the two won had no right to refuse.

Fang Chang put away the coffin, extinguished the campfire, and threw away the lamb at…

No, he couldn’t bear to.

He ate while dipping it in sauce and hurried along.

Zhao Yuntong was still sulking, turning into a streak of light and slipping back into her coffin.

Zhang Su, filled with a self-moved sense of righteousness in guiding the Corpse Refinent Path toward goodness, followed closely beside him, chanting scriptures without pause.

Before long,

Fang Chang arrived near the area where the incident had occurred.

He did not approach too closely. Instead, he climbed a hill and saw a patch of forest that had been flattened to the ground.

Pits and sword marks were everywhere. The residual Spiritual Essence and magical power scattered into sparks of fla, igniting the trees and gradually spreading.

Within it,

a woman dressed in embroidered white robes and a black-haired man with a bare upper body were facing off and fighting back and forth.

The forr held a long sword, sparks flickering, standing firm like a pine—noble and graceful.

The latter had bulging muscles, but his skin tones varied unnaturally, covered in stitched seams. At a glance, he was clearly not from any orthodox path.

“Oh, the Living Corpse Path.”

Fang Chang said with so surprise.

This path was sowhat similar to his Corpse Refinent Path.

The Corpse Refinent Path collected corpses, using cultivators’ bodies as materials to refine Corpse Puppets.

The Living Corpse Path also collected cultivators’ corpses.

However, it took only the best parts of the corpse and fused them into one’s own body through secret techniques—seeking life within death, and death within life.

Like the Corpse Refinent Path, it was one of the Eighteen Demonic Sects and Thirty-Six Deviant Paths.

Its notoriety was even slightly worse than the Corpse Refinent Path.

After all,

those who cultivated this path were all quite ugly.

Fang Chang rembered that there had once been a player who exploited a bug, stitching eighty-one heads onto their skull in layers, stacking upward until their height rivaled that of a giant.

The level of sheer evilness was so high

that even shops in demonic sects refused to sell to them.

Though it reduced one’s sanity,

the visual spectacle was undeniably imposing—quite entertaining.

Zhang Su knew of this path.

Looking at the grotesque appearance of the Living Corpse Path cultivator,

she could not help but glance at Fang Chang’s side profile. He was sufficiently handso, though carrying a hint of coldness.

“In comparison, Benefactor Fang… you are sowhat unlike a typical Corpse Refinent Path cultivator…”

“Hm?”

Fang Chang curled his lips.

That was a bit insulting, Master Zhang.

After all, he had once ranked ninth on the national server.

Zhang Su pondered for a few seconds, then looked up, a faint light appearing in her eyes.

“A typical Corpse Refinent Path cultivator would never be like Benefactor Fang, giving us new clothes to wear… nor would they allow us to freely use the corpse body like this…”

That was simply how Fallen Immortal Dress-Up worked.

After refining a Corpse Puppet, if you didn’t dress it up, then what was the point?

Fang Chang smiled.

“If you don’t want to wear clothes, I won’t stop you. That body of yours is enough to stir n’s blood. Fighting like that might even be quite effective against male opponents.”

Zhang Su stiffened. Her plump thighs beneath her skirt instinctively pressed together, and her clasped hands lifted slightly, trying to cover the fullness of her chest.

With slight embarrassnt and indignation, she said, “This… is not what this poor nun desires!”

Suddenly, a streak of flaming sword light burst brilliantly in the night.

What followed was a shrill scream.

Looking again, the Living Corpse Path cultivator had been split in two like a sheet of paper—from left shoulder to right abdon.

Exposed bones, blood, and organs spilled across the ground in a grueso ss.

The cultivator did not die imdiately, staring fixedly at the white-robed female cultivator.

The woman, with an ethereal beauty, showed no rcy. She once again activated her Spiritual Essence, and flas instantly pierced through his head.

Now, he was nothing more than a heap of mangled flesh.

Fang Chang clapped lightly, as if watching a play. “A cultivator of the Grand Void Path. So clean and decisive—also a capable Fourth Realm expert.”

The Grand Void Path emphasized the principle that “Grand Void is Qi, and Qi transforms all things.”

Thus, they excelled in orthodox Five Elents techniques.

Those who followed this path were entirely orthodox cultivators.

As soon as he finished speaking,

the female cultivator turned her head coldly, her gaze piercing through the forest and locking onto him.

Fang Chang t her eyes calmly, unable to suppress a slight smile.

A gust of night wind swept fallen leaves across the ground. As it passed, the woman’s figure vanished.

Zhang Su’s expression changed slightly. “She’s coming.”

“If she’s coming, then she’s coming.”

“Logically, we should withdraw imdiately to avoid misunderstandings.”

“That’s how the orthodox path plays. Right now, we’re part of the demonic and deviant paths.”

Fang Chang finished the last bite of lamb, with no intention of moving.

Zhang Su grew anxious and stepped in front of him.

Monts later, the female cultivator erged from beside a large tree at the base of the hill, unhurried.

She glanced at Zhang Su, then looked back at Fang Chang.

“Corpse Refinent Path?”

Fang Chang nodded. “Corpse Refinent Path.”

“You’ve got so courage. I’ll make it quick.”

Zhang Su said, “We were rely passing by and saw the commotion of battle, so we ca to watch. Please do not misunderstand.”

The female cultivator shook her head. “I am not bloodthirsty. But if such demonic and deviant practitioners of the Corpse Refinent Path are allowed to live, there will not be a single day of peace in the cultivation world.”

As she spoke,

a flash of cold light erupted, stealing the brilliance of the moon. Sword light surged forward, carrying blazing flas.

Behind Zhang Su, a manifestation appeared like a compassionate Guanyin. The Thousand-Hand seal lacked so of its grandeur, instead carrying a trace of cold, sinister energy.

The sword light shattered upon impact with the seal, flas scattering across the sky.

“Guanyin Path? A Corpse Puppet?”

The richly dressed female cultivator showed surprise.

Then she shook her head. “I see you are also acting against your will. But rest assured, fellow cultivator—I will grant you release.”

Zhang Su frowned.

Her monk robes fluttered, the night wind pressing the fabric tightly against her figure.

The front of her robe stretched over a ripened fullness, the fabric straining and pulling, heavy and gently trembling with her breath.

Such mature softness—

yet just below where the fullness naturally pressed downward, her waist curved inward at both sides, slender and perfectly defined.

The cloth clung to her flat abdon, lightly covered by soft flesh,

making it appear even more enticingly supple.

She stood before Fang Chang without retreating even half a step.

“The Buddha once cut his flesh to feed the eagle, sacrificed himself to feed the tiger, transforming all beings. What this poor nun encounters now is no different. It must also be the Buddha’s guidance, allowing to guide this person and help him lay down the butcher’s knife.”

“Though his actions are sowhat harsh, his nature is kind. As long as this poor nun protects him from the side and advises him in all matters, one day he will surely be transford.”

“This poor nun does not wish to remain under this person, but this is still my tribulation—this is my… my cultivation! And I will not allow you to harm him in the slightest!”
