Yi Tianyun and the Black Dragon continued their frenzied slaughter. If the Snow Wolf had been here, their killing spree would have been even more astonishing. However, he had left it behind in the Celestial Sinking Ruins for its own protection and hadn’t brought it along. Still, their current pace was anything but slow. Like grim reapers, they were feverishly harvesting the lives of the surrounding Demon Beasts.
After killing each wave of Demon Beasts, he would imdiately use his Storage Ring to collect their corpses. He planned to take them back and sell them to the Star Pavilion.
Amidst their frenzied slaughter, Yi Tianyun finally leveled up again.

The mont he broke through, Yi Tianyun felt his power soar. While his peak Combat Power before was only 390,000, his cultivation breakthrough instantly sent it rocketing to 500,000!

As his aura flared with his newfound power, it grew even more intense. Yet, the surrounding Demon Beasts seed to have gone mad, continuing to charge him without a shred of fear.
’That’s strange. These Demon Beasts can’t be scared off at all. Have they lost their minds?’ After fighting for a long ti, Yi Tianyun clearly sensed sothing was off about them. Their eyes were vacant, as if they were being controlled by sothing.
They seed possessed. On Demon Cloud Island, these beasts would normally keep to their own territories, attacking any intruder on sight. The fact that they were all gathered together was already peculiar, but their current behavior was even stranger.
Normally, when he unleashed such imnse power, the Demon Beasts—despite their low intelligence—would at least understand fear and recognize a superior foe. He was now overwhelmingly stronger than them, yet they didn’t retreat. Instead, they only grew more ferocious.
’Whatever. The more, the better. I’ll take on all cors!’
Yi Tianyun decided to ignore the underlying problem. All that mattered now was to continue his slaughter and keep racking up Experience Value; the rest was irrelevant. He threw himself back into the massacre, but the Demon Beasts here seed endless, constantly crawling out of the sea to besiege him.
After an hour of killing, his Tenfold Experience Card and Madness Value Card expired. He imdiately bought more from the system’s shop and continued his frenzied slaughter. Experience Value kept pouring in. The Black Dragon’s level had already surged to the Seventh Level of the Core Formation Stage, yet Yi Tianyun himself still hadn’t gained a single level.
He had to admit, the experience required at higher levels was astronomical. Even with an over tenfold experience multiplier, he still had to kill a massive number of Demon Beasts just to et the requirent to level up.

Finally, after nearly two hours of killing, he advanced to the Second Level of the Spirit Pill Stage. It had been an arduous process. Compared to anyone else, however, his speed was simply outrageous. Who else could break through an entire level in a re two hours?
He lost track of how long he’d been fighting. The surrounding Demon Beasts were becoming fewer and fewer, no longer as nurous as before. It seed they weren’t endlessly spawning after all; their numbers could be depleted.
However, just as he was about to finish them all off, that delightful sound rang out once more.
"Ding! Congratulations to Player ’Yi Tianyun’ for successfully breaking through to the Third Level of the Spirit Pill Stage!"
He hadn’t expected to gain another level right at the end. The Demon Beasts were nearly all gone, with only a few stragglers remaining—five or six at most. He quickly dispatched them. Soon, the entire Demon Cloud Island fell silent and empty. Not a single Demon Beast remained, save for the Black Dragon, which was now noticeably larger than before. Every other beast had been eliminated.
All that remained was the blood-soaked ground, and the thick, coppery stench of blood enveloped the entire island.
RUMBLE!
As if in response to the stench of blood, thunder began to roll across the sky. No lightning struck, but a torrential downpour began instead. SPLASH! Rain fell in sheets, washing away the blood from the ground. Soon, the stains were gone. Much of the blood flowed into the ocean, where it was quickly diluted and washed away by the waves.
"Haaaah..."
Yi Tianyun let the rain wash over him, feeling utterly refreshed. After fighting for so long, his arms had gone numb, and he had consud a considerable amount of Spiritual Power. But that was no issue. Compared to the experience he had gained, it was all worth it.
’Still, the results are far less than I’d hoped,’ he thought. ’To only reach the Third Level of the Spirit Pill Stage... the pace is still too slow.’
’Are there no more Demon Beasts to kill...?’ Yi Tianyun glanced around. There were no beasts left. It was as if tranquility had been restored to the island.
With that, he opened his attribute bar to check his current status.
