Generally, there are only two types of people who perform Alchemy without a Pill Furnace: fools, and powerful Alchemists who possess an Anomalous Fire!
Yi Tianyun was undoubtedly the latter. He wasn’t a fool, but a genuinely skilled Alchemist! This single display of skill was more than enough to completely overshadow Pharmacist Kong Liang. There was no pressure; they simply weren’t in the sa league.
Under the Immortal Fire, the Dragon Tail Grass rapidly lted into a thick liquid. At the sa ti, Yi Tianyun quickly flicked out the blood from the Jade Bottle, adding a drop to the liquid, where it swiftly rged. A streak of red now marred the viscous green substance.
Under his masterful control, the ingredients rapidly condensed, ultimately forming a single Elixir Pill that landed in his palm.
"Ding! Successfully refined the second-grade Dragon Tail Pill. Gained 1,000 Experience Value, Skill Level increased by 50 points."
The successful refinent increased his Experience Value and Skill Level.
"It’s done," Yi Tianyun said calmly.
"It’s done..."
Everyone’s eyes went wide as they stared at the Elixir Pill in Yi Tianyun’s hand. The only difference from the one Pharmacist Kong Liang had made was the added streak of red.
Even though sothing had been added, it wasn’t technically considered a foreign ingredient. The main thing was that Yi Tianyun’s technique was so far beyond their comprehension; at this point, they would have believed him even if he had added Soul Reviving Grass.
"Miss Yan, have Patriarch Yan take this Elixir Pill. It should be enough to wake him," Yi Tianyun said, handing it to her.
Yan Lingxue excitedly took the pill. Without a shred of doubt, she went to the bedside, dissolved it with her Spiritual Power, and administered it to her father.
"Any more problems?" Yi Tianyun asked, looking at Kong Liang and wondering what else the man could possibly have to say.
Kong Liang’s expression was grim. That technique alone was far beyond his own abilities. He snorted coldly. "Let’s just wait and see!"
He refused to admit defeat. Even if Yi Tianyun’s Alchemy skill was superior, he wouldn’t concede until the very end.
A mont later, Patriarch Yan stirred slightly before slowly opening his eyes. "Huh? What’s going on?" he asked, confused.
"Father, you’re awake!"
Yan Lingxue was ecstatic. The Elixir Pill had been administered only a mont ago, and it was already taking effect.
"Mm, I feel much better. The effects of this Dragon Tail Grass are quite good. The Elixir Pill refined by Pharmacist Kong Liang is truly high-quality."
After sitting up, Patriarch Yan seed to be in good spirits. While he hadn’t recovered completely, at least he was conscious.
Kong Liang was mortified. He hadn’t been the one to refine this Elixir Pill at all; it was entirely Yi Tianyun’s creation.
"Father, Pharmacist Kong Liang wasn’t the one who refined the Dragon Tail Grass. Young Master Yi here helped us. It turns out a normal pill wouldn’t have worked; it needed your blood to be effective. It was Young Master Yi who pointed this out. Otherwise, we never would have known!"
Yan Lingxue was overco with excitent. Seeing her father’s condition improve so much, she was naturally thrilled.
"Not refined by Pharmacist Kong Liang..."
Patriarch Yan was stunned. He imdiately turned to Yi Tianyun. Seeing such a young Pharmacist, he found it hard to believe. He had assud the young man was just an apprentice Kong Liang had brought along.
This ti, Kong Liang was truly speechless. Patriarch Yan appeared to be in good spirits. Before, he would only wake for a mont before fainting again; he had never remained conscious for this long. There was no doubt he had fully awakened and would be fine.
"Since Patriarch Yan has awakened, I will take my leave!"
He no longer had the face to remain. After announcing his departure, he turned and left without another mont’s hesitation.
Yi Tianyun said nothing, only sparing him a glance. ’As long as minor characters like him don’t provoke , there’s no need to pursue things.’
"Ding! Congratulations on completing the quest. You have been awarded 10,000 Experience Value. Favorability with Patriarch Yan has increased by 100, with Yan Lingxue by 30, and Character Value has increased by 20."
The quest was completed perfectly. Or rather, it had been incredibly easy. It was no challenge at all—basically a freebie.
"So it was Yi who helped refine it. I am so grateful. If it weren’t for your help, I don’t know when I would have ever woken up."
Patriarch Yan’s gaze burned with intensity as he looked at Yi Tianyun. He couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of appreciation for such a young Pharmacist.
"There’s no need to thank . It was nothing," Yi Tianyun said with a smile.
"Father, Young Master Yi also helped us find the Dragon Tail Grass! He has already helped once before!" Yan Lingxue reminded him.
"He did? It seems Yi has truly helped our Yan Family a great deal."
Patriarch Yan smiled warmly and said to Yan Lingxue, "In that case, we mustn’t neglect our distinguished guest. Please, escort him to the main hall for a seat. I will join you shortly."
"Father, you need to get so proper rest!" Yan Lingxue said.
"Indeed, Patriarch Yan. The most important thing for you now is to rest. Don’t try to cultivate for the ti being; just focus on your recovery. A wound to the soul requires a long period of rest to heal," Yi Tianyun advised.
"But that would be improper..."
Patriarch Yan thought for a mont, then said, "Speaking of which, Yan’Er, what reward do you plan on giving Yi?"
"A reward... I haven’t even given him the reward from before, and I haven’t thought of what to give him for this ti."
Yan Lingxue then rembered that she hadn’t even considered what to offer as a reward when she brought Yi Tianyun over.
"How about this," Patriarch Yan said with a smile. "Since we owe him for two separate deeds, let’s take out *that* item from our family’s collection and give it to Young Master Yi."
"Father, you an take *that* item and give it to Young Master Yi...?" Yan Lingxue was stunned and didn’t move to get it right away.
"Yes, go get it," Patriarch Yan said, nodding in confirmation.
Yan Lingxue nodded, then turned to Yi Tianyun. "Young Master Yi, please wait a mont. I’ll go get your reward."
"There’s really no need. It was nothing."
Yi Tianyun waved his hand dismissively. ’The quest reward was more than enough.’
"Yi, you must accept it. It will surely be of use to you!" Patriarch Yan’s gaze was so firm that Yi Tianyun found himself unable to voice his refusal.
"Very well. Since you insist, I will accept it," Yi Tianyun said.
Yan Lingxue returned shortly, carrying an object wrapped in red cloth.
As she entered the room, she pulled back the red cloth, revealing a small Tripod Furnace. This was undoubtedly a Treasure, and a rather fine one at that!
"This is an Alchemy Furnace?"
Yi Tianyun was startled. He could tell with a single glance that this Alchemy Furnace was of a high grade—at least Soul Artifact Level.
An Alchemy Furnace of the Soul Artifact Level was incredibly expensive. It wasn’t sothing you could just buy in a normal market, nor was it sothing that could be purchased with Gold. Such an item could only be acquired by trading high-grade materials or precious Elixir Pills.
"That’s right," Patriarch Yan said with a faint smile. "This is a low-grade, Soul Artifact-level Alchemy Furnace. We don’t have much else of value to offer, so we decided to gift this to you."
