West pushed himself off the pillar, stepping forward slightly.
"You t us here first."
The man frowned.
"And?"
West’s smirk widened.
"Shadow Reapers."
The five exchanged glances.
"...Never heard of it," another one said with a scoff.
"Must be so unofficial gang."
The first one crossed his arms.
"We, on the other hand, are officially registered."
"Setting Sun Gang."
"So do yourselves a favor..."
"And leave."
Jax slowly stood up, gripping his katana.
"...You guys serious right now?"
Nina expression tightened as she rose as well while West raised a hand slightly.
"I’ll make this simple," he stated with a strong tone.
"Leave now...Before things get ugly."
The five stared at him and then began laughing hysterically with looks of mockery.
One of them cracked his knuckles.
"Ugly?" he sneered. "You think three kids can threaten us?"
Another stepped forward while activating his branch.
"Looks like we’ll have to teach you how things work."
The atmosphere imdiately turned incredibly tensed... and just as West was about to move...
"Hold on."
Jax stepped forward and Nina followed.
West raised a brow as they stood before him.
"...What?"
Jax didn’t look back.
"You sit this one out."
Nina nodded.
"For once."
West blinked.
"...Excuse ?"
Jax smirked slightly.
"You’re the gang leader, right?"
"Then act like it."
Nina added, "You can’t be the one solving everything all the ti."
"Otherwise what’s the point of us being here?"
West looked at them and went silent for a mont before a small smile appeared on his face.
"...Alright."
He leaned back again.
"Show ."
Jax grinned.
"Gladly."
The Setting Sun mbers looked irritated now.
"...Done talking?"
Jax rolled his shoulders.
"Yeah."
"Now we’re starting."
What ca next, happened really fast...
The mont one of the Setting Sun mbers lunged forward, Jax moved while unsheathing his katana.
A streak of ice followed as the blade ca unsheathed, sweeping forward with intensity.
The attacker froze mid-motion and his arm encased in frost before Jax slamd the hilt of his blade into his chest...
Boom.
He went flying instantly, leaving the other four stunned.
They instantly activated their branches and two rushed at Nina, feeling like it would be easier to take down the woman first.
This was yet another mistake they made... underestimating another mber of the Shadow Reapers...
She flicked her brush at incredibly swift speed and two constructs appeared mid-air... a reinforced shield and a long spear.
She grabbed the spear, spun and slamd it into the ground.
Thoooommmm~
A shockwave imdiately blasted outward, knocking both attackers off balance.
Before they could recover, she drew again, making quick strokes in the air.
Two small beast-like creatures materialized and pounced, tackling them and dragging them down.
"...What the—?!" one shouted while struggling.
"What sort of power is this?!"
Jax dashed past with his katana glowing brighter as he slashed.
A wave of ice swept across the ground, freezing another opponent’s legs in place.
"Freeze its the police," Jax muttered with a mocking laughter before kicking him hard enough to send him crashing into a pillar.
anwhile, the remaining two tried to regroup.
One activated a transformation branch causing his arms to bulk up unnaturally, becoming large as cannons.
He reached a height of seven feet while both his arms were twice the torse of a full grown adult and nearly reaching the ground... they were gigantic and muscular.
He charged Jax who smirked in response.
"Finally... a worthy challenger."
Jax swung his blade, which clashed against the attacker’s hardened fists, letting out a loud CLANG sound.
The fist was strong enough to parry the strike but the frost coating the katana began to spread and the man’s arms started freezing over.
"...What the hell?!"
Jax twisted, using the montum to flip and slash downward...
Fwwwhiiiii~
Ice exploded outward, creating a massive moving wall of frost that slamd straight into the man and ramd him onto the other end of the wall.
Boom!
The wall ca crashing down and multiple ice spikes from the attack pierced into the assailant’s body at different positions causing him to spit blood before falling over.
The last one turned to flee only to find Nina already there.
Her brush moved once as she created a heavy construct like a solid, hamr-like object...
With a single swung...
WHAM~
He was sent flying across the warehouse floor, skidding to a stop.
Silence fell as the five mbers of Setting Sun Gang lay defeated, injured and groaning.
One of them staggered to his feet, glaring.
"...You’ll regret this," he spat.
Jax pointed his blade at him.
"Then co back stronger."
Nina added with a small smile, "We’ll be waiting."
Dragging their injured teammates, they quickly fled the warehouse.
"...This isn’t over!" one of them shouted before disappearing.
Jax exhaled.
"...That was it?"
Nina dusted her hands.
"Honestly... I expected more."
West pushed himself off the pillar, clapping slowly.
"...Not bad."
They both turned to him with looks of satisfaction.
"You’ve improved."
Jax grinned. "Told you."
Nina smiled brightly.
"Say it again."
West raised a brow.
"...You’ve improved."
She walked up to him.
"Comnd properly."
West blinked.
"...What?"
Before he could react, she grabbed his hand, guided it upward and placed it gently on her head...
From there, she slowly lowered it to her shoulder and then slightly above her chest...
West narrowed his eyes slightly as his fingers sank into her plush pillows...
"...Nina—"
She just smiled, enjoying the mont while Jax imdiately turned away.
"Alright nah—this is where I leave."
He waved a hand.
"Get a room you two."
West chuckled before pulling his hand back.
"...You’re getting bold."
Nina winked.
"Gotta keep up sohow."
"Naughty girl... I’ll punish you properly when you co over later..."

~ Hours Later ~
The lights from nearby buildings cast a soft glow into West’s apartnt, reflecting faintly off the glass panels and smooth surfaces as night settled over the city.
West sat on the edge of his bed with a phone in hand while he stared at the contact na for a mont before tapping it.
The call rang twice before it connected.
"...Hello?"
A soft and tired but refined feminine voice rang out.
West leaned back slightly.
"Didn’t think you’d pick up that fast."
There was a brief pause before a response ca through.
"...West?"
"Yeah."
A faint exhale ca through the line.
"Oh sorry, I do not have this number. New one? I’ve been aning to call you," she said quietly. "Actually... I’ve been aning to co see you."
West smirked faintly.
"With gifts, right?"
She let out a soft, embarrassed laugh.
"...You rember that?"
