Now reading: Chapter 119: Syra’s Return from My Dragon King System, a Fantasy novel by Forzy.

Just before he got into it, the system sent him a new screen for a new permanent quest.

[New Permanent Quest Assigned]

[Permanent Quest: Find Cronyssia, The Dragon of Ti]

[Reward: ??]

[Bonus Reward: ??]

[Duration: ??]

The events of his chanced eting with the dragon flashed back in his mind, and then he sighed. "Where does one even begin to look for an Ancient Creature governing all of ti?"

A feminine and teasing voice replied to him out of nowhere, "I might have a good idea on where to start."

Aiden’s eyes widened in surprise, then his facial expression contorted into a smile. He turned his head to the side and said, "Hello again, Syra."

"I see you’re handling being a dragon well," she replied amusingly.

Syra was currently floating by Aiden’s side. Her perfectly sculpted body appeared translucent. She was in her spirit form. It was the only form she could be in anyway.

"I must say I’m surprised you’ve grown this quick in such a short ti fra," Syra said as she hovered around him scrutinizingly.

Aiden noticed she didn’t have the horns and wings anymore or the black scales. She looked like a regular pretty-faced elf, and her orange hair was much longer than he could rember.

"You look different..." he said.

Syra imdiately understood what he was talking about. She giggled a bit and said, "I’m not a dragon any longer, at least physically, but I’m a part of you now."

"I see," Aiden replied, nodding in understanding.

"Well, I have a good guess on where to find Cronyssia," Syra continued. "She’s most likely in the forsaken continent of Dellheim."

"The forsaken continent... we were told stories as children that no life inhabits there. Oh, is this because of Cronyssia? She didn’t co off as hostile."

"She’s not. You see, the Continent of Dellheim is called forsaken because right at the heart of it is a gateway that naturally leads into the demon realm. So if she’s there, there’s only one thing I’m certain she’s doing, and that is standing guard at that very gateway."

Aiden, with a puzzled expression on his face, asked, "But isn’t the demon realm sealed?"

"It is, but Cronyssia, as the oldest of us, has always had this high sense of responsibility," Syra replied. Then continued, "I understand that she left you with a task to find the version of her in the present."

"Yes, wait... how did you know that?"

"I’m a part of you now, rember?" Syra said. "I also know you aren’t a virgin anymore."

Aiden slamd his palm over his face in embarrassnt and shook his head.

She continued, "And I have to comnd you, son of Crowley. For your first ti, that was good." She had an amused expression and nodded in approval.

Aiden couldn’t lift his head up out of sha, and Syra kept going. "I didn’t know you had a thing for elves. Would’ve let you do right before I passed on the system."

She let out an exasperated sigh and shook her head. "It’s been over a 100 years since I had sex, and now I can’t even have it anymore."

"By the gods, Syra! Please stay on the right topic," Aiden yelled out as he couldn’t take any more of it.

She giggled for a mont, and Aiden added, "But it’s not fair. I don’t know the things you do," sounding rather discontented.

"In ti, young dragon. Moreover, you can always ask ," Syra said, stretching both her arms to the side almost theatrically.

Aiden rolled his eyes. There was a brief pause as it seed like he was in thought, before finally saying, "Although if I’m being honest, right now my biggest worry is this war I set in motion." He had a somber expression on his face as he spoke.

"Admittedly, I was shortsighted and selfish, and while it is still my intention to see Jarius ousted from his throne, I do not want to see the bloodshed of innocent lives that will happen in the process."

And in truth, he didn’t. He wasn’t just putting Lysandra’s and Grandal’s lives in danger but also the lives of Dragonhold’s denizens.

Additionally, there were also the lives of the mbers of his guild. What if so of the mbers of Ravens Grave died? What if Laela died?

Syra, being a part of him, already knew the war he spoke about and how it had happened to co this way. She smiled and said, "For a mont, I thought you’d be the first host to go against the dragon’s natural instinct to protect Dragonhold."

Aiden turned towards Syra when she made the statent, and then she added, "The Black Dragon is the determinant. You have been given so much power, more than enough to control every single outco surrounding the impending war. I know you’ll do just fine, Aiden."

That made Aiden smile a bit, and then he nodded afterwards. "Well it’s ti I returned back to the guild."

Syra nodded and said, "I’ll be around," then her translucent form disappeared entirely.

"I wonder when i’ll be able to interact with the rest of the others" Aiden said to himself. He was referring to the previous hosts of the system.

With a thought, Aiden warped back to the guild, specifically back into his room.

He listened to everyone and everything in the guild’s wing using his enhanced hearing to confirm if they were all calm from the earlier situation. So far so good. Everything seed to be normal.

However, whilst listening, he heard the Captain yell "Again!" from the empty room upstairs that she had converted into a training room a few days ago.

"Hm..." Aiden then used his Dragon’s sight skill, and his vision penetrated through the walls of his room and into the training room.

He could see Piers taking so stance and making certain movents whilst swinging a wooden katana.

The Captain had continued on her sword training with Piers, especially as the war was nearing closer.

And Aiden couldn’t help but wonder what perfect timing this was as he made his way towards the training room.

-----

Piers was shirtless and trying to catch his breath.

"Your Qi is still weak! But it’s better than the last ti," Katherine had just said before turning towards Aiden who had just stepped into the training room.

"Where did all that magic power co from, so monts ago?" she asked, referring to the earlier outburst of mana.

"Accept my apologies, Captain. I was testing a few limits," Aiden said, sounding sowhat remorseful.

The Captain looked at him for a while. Aiden and his magical prowess had always been a sort of mystery, but she couldn’t complain. If anything, he was using it for all the right reasons.

Then Katherine said to him, "If you ca to use the room, you may stay at the other corner," while pointing to the direction she was speaking of.

"Oh, I only ca to watch you both. I know a little bit about the sword myself," Aiden replied proudly.
