Kaerys stood abruptly, with his chair scraping back. His reptilian expression contorted into a more nacing look as dark energy began surging around his being.
"Perhaps it’s ti I remind you of your place on this table Jynx"
Jynx rose to his feet as well. "Let’s have at it then, reptile," he snarled with manic laughter bubbling beneath his words.
The room’s atmosphere trembled under the force of their magic power , and even the iron table between them rumbled from the pressure.
"Children, please."
Kaerys and Jynx froze at once, their bodies going rigid the mont they heard the voice.
A woman stepped out from the shadowed archway at the far end of the hall, and the room fell completely silent.
She was tall, clad in black armor and her bonde hair fell past her shoulders, with two large black horns curved from her head.
Behind her was glowing red halo made of spikes.
She was Morrigan, The First Born of the Abyss, and to so, she was the Demon Queen.
Behind her walked two figures with sleek white hair
The first was a younger lady with red horns. She ran quickly toward Malachar and sat beside her, crossing her hand lightly over Malachar’s arm, like a child greeting her favorite aunt.
"Missed you," she said with a smile.
Malachar chuckled. "I missed you too," she replied, brushing a strand of hair from her face.
She was Astaroth, Demon Lord of Wrath.
The second was a young man with black horns. His posture was relaxed, calm, and he walked behind Morrigan without acknowledging anyone else.
This was Asmodai, Demon Lord of Pride.
Both Astaroth and Asmodai were siblings, but not just any siblings, they were Samael’s offspring with Morrigan.
Morrigan stopped near the table and placed one hand lightly on its surface while the two behind her remained standing at attention.
Kaerys and Jynx sat down imdiately without another word, while the others straightened slightly in their seats.
Asmodai glanced at Morrigan. "Mother," he said. "Are we starting?"
She smiled faintly and nodded. "Yes," she replied softly. "We are."
He took his seat at the other end of the table as his mother sat at the edge. Then she looked at the others and said,
"There’s much to discuss."
—-
anwhile, back at Dragonhold. The Hall of Feasts was still very much rowdy at that point in ti.
It had been about a full hour since the rescue mission was completed and the possessed had all been brought back.
Mages and warriors from different kingdoms stood in scattered groups throughout the hall, as their voices created sounds of overlapping conversations, so filled with relief and joy, and others heavy with grief and concern.
Ursula, alongside Lucas and Grandal had earlier walked Helena out of the halls as she had been wailing uncontrollably. Her cries had been difficult to witness.
Across the hall, Arianna was still hugging her father Cedric tightly.
Her arms were wrapped around him as if afraid he might disappear again, and Cedric held her just as firmly with one hand resting on the back of her head. His eyes were closed and his face showed nothing but gratitude.
Laela stood nearby watching them with a smile on her face, giving them their mont.
Not far from them, Katherine and Selene stood together near one of the long tables. They looked like they were exchanging light conversation, though neither wore particularly happy nor sad expressions.
Katherine’s arms were crossed, while Selene nodded occasionally.
The rest of Ravens Grave had gathered around Bernard near the center of the hall. He sat on one of the benches with Rick beside him and several other guild mbers standing or sitting close by.
Elena and Oliver both had smiles on their faces as it looked like they were in a cheerful conversation, with Oliver animatedly gesturing with his hands while Elena laughed at whatever he was saying.
Piers stood just behind them with his arms folded and a smile on his lips as he watched the younger mbers talk.
On the opposite side of the room, Kayden had both arms folded and was leaning against the wall with his face turned slightly away from Innis, who stood a infront of him.
She looked like she was back to teasing him, as she said sothing that made him grunt in response without turning around.
Despite his attempt to appear annoyed, there was the faintest hint of a smile at the corner of his mouth.
Aeris stood off to the side near another pillar, watching the mbers of Ravens Grave with a smile on her face. They were an amusing bunch, she thought.
Then she turned slightly toward Aiden, who stood alone near the edge of the hall.
She had a sense of admiration for him now. This whole operation would not have been possible if not for him.
The portals, the avatars, the speed with which everything had been organized and executed, it all ca back to him.
Aiden himself was currently staring at invisible screens in front of him.
[Permanent Quest: Find The Missing Mages and Save Them From Possession → Complete]
[You have leveled up!]
[You have leveled up!]
[You have leveled up!]
[Host is now a Level 4 Adult Dragon]
[Bonus Reward: 30 Available Stats Points]
[You have gained a new skill of the Ti Authority: Ti Variants]
[Ti Variants → Host is able to summon different variations of himself from a point in ti]
[The system advises Host to consider Ti Variants as alternatives to Avatars in situations where range or distance could present difficulties]
"Obviously," Aiden thought to himself as he read through the notification.
That was one clear advantage ti variants had over avatars; they weren as subject to proximity limitations.
However, there was another important distinction between the two thods.
Avatars shared a hive mind with the original. Everything Aiden experienced, they experienced simultaneously, and their knowledge was his knowledge in real ti.
But ti variants did not share that connection. They only knew what the original did up until the exact point in ti he summoned them from.
Which ant if Aiden summoned a ti variant from any point yesterday, that variant would not know that the mission to the other dinsions had already been done and completed today.
This Ti Variant skill however presented Aiden with the best opportunity to deal with finding Lysandra and Cassian.
He had decided that once everything concluded within the halls, he would summon several variants and send them into the remaining dinsions to search for them both.
Moreover, Katherine’s suspicion could also not be fully verified until Cassian was found atleast.
Then he continued going through the list of rewards.
[The Host’s Dragon’s Sight has attained a new ability → Future Sight]
[Future Sight → Host is able to see the future relative to himself. Due to Host’s current level, he is only able to see about one minute into the future]
"Hm..." Aiden muttered while narrowing his eyes slightly as he processed that information.
This was how Cronyssia could see certain questions and conversations before they happened during their exchanges.
That was when Aiden realized that his Dragon’s Sight received different improvents based on the essence of the dragons within him.
Veyqorin’s essence of Space had granted him Dinsional Sight.
Cronyssia’s essence of Ti had now granted him Future Sight.
He wondered briefly what other abilities his dragon’s vision might develop as his level or rank increased further.
Aiden then took his eyes off the screens and looked back out into the rest of the hall, dismissing the notifications entirely as that marked the end of them for now.
