Syqora’s gaze remained fixed on Aiden as he spoke.

"What do you an by breaking the rule?" he asked.

Aiden replied, "I am not restricted like the rest of you are with certain abilities."

Syqora’s expression shifted imdiately into disbelief. "That’s impossible," he replied. "The restriction is literally an imprint of the Oldest One. None of us can defy that."

Aiden sighed, he understood why Syqora had strong doubts, and so he turned toward Orlien.

"I will let you into my mind to see for yourself," he said. "Then transmit the sa thing to the rest of them."

Orlien hesitated for only a mont before nodding. She stepped closer and placed one hand gently against the side of Aiden’s head.

Her consciousness slipped into his mind, and in that mont, she saw everything.

The battle replayed before her in vivid detail. Samael’s transformation. The futility of their attacks. The portal that failed. Syqora’s desperate attempt to drag Samael through.

The spear piercing Aiden’s chest, and his death that followed right after.

Then the use of Checkpoint and his consciousness traveling backward through ti.

She felt it all. Not just the events themselves but every emotion tied to them. The desperation. The fear. The realization that they could not win.

When Orlien withdrew her hand, her eyes were wide with shock.

She turned toward Thyron and Syqora and transmitted the mories directly into their minds as well.

Both dragons went still as the scenes played out before them. When it finished, they all stared at Aiden in disbelief.

Syqora stood frozen in place, with his mouth slightly open as though he wanted to speak but couldn’t find the words. His gaze remained on Aiden, but his eyes were distant as though he was lost in thought.

Thyron broke the silence first.

"How is that even possible?" she said.

She gestured toward Aiden as she continued.

"The Oldest One restricted so of these abilities for a reason, and you may have just put the world at risk, Aiden."

Aiden nodded and said

"I know of the untold effects to the world, but right now, I don’t see any harm done yet."

Thyron’s frown deepened.

"So what is this exactly?" she asked. "Did you rewind the universe back in ti or...?"

Aiden shook his head. "It’s the first ti the ability has ever been used," he said. "It didn’t feel like a rewind. If anything it felt like traveling back through ti"

He paused before continuing.

"Which now gives us an opportunity to change the outco of the future."

Orlien stepped forward then, and in a voice that carried the tone of urgency, she said

"Can we focus on the real problem here for one second?"

"Given what we just saw and Samael being as strong as he is... how could we possibly defeat that?"

The thing about Orlien going into Aiden’s mind was that she didn’t just see his thoughts. Being in a position where she felt every bit of emotion around it as well.

The hopelessness and the terror.

It felt as if she herself had been there.

Both Thyron and Aiden said nothing, but looked concerned too

Orlien then turned toward Syqora, who had remained silent since seeing the mories.

"Any ideas, Syqora?" she asked. "You’ve been silent all this while."

Syqora finally stirred from his thoughts then turned toward them, with his gaze moving first toward Orlien.

"I honestly don’t know," he said.

Then he paused and turned toward Aiden instead.

"But I think I finally understand it now."

Aiden’s red eyes narrowed slightly as he listened.

Syqora continued. "You are the first person whose fate I, the Dragon of Destiny, cannot see."

"Never has a restriction been broken before. But never has one dragon even possessed more than a single authority either."

"And although It is true that it all began with Thyrak’s last vessel a hundred years ago. But with you taking in Cronyssia’s power and housing four authorities... you changed the way things worked."

There was another pause before he added,

"It was then that you beca an anomaly. One that could break even the restrictions of the Oldest One."

The dragons looked astonished hearing this. Thyron’s eyes widened slightly, and Orlien’s expression shifted into sothing close to awe.

But Aiden frowned. "But what does that even an?" he asked. "And how will any of that win against Samael? Even if I could use the restricted parts of the authorities, I would only be giving Samael more things to adapt to."

Syqora went silent once more, as did the others.

Thyron spoke up then and in a thoughtful voice. "Perhaps it’s ti we asked these angels," she said. "It is, after all, one of their kind wreaking all of this havoc."

Orlien added. "After what we saw, can he still even be called an angel?"

Syqora sighed heavily.

"Do you forget Michael never interferes?" he said. "Moreover, the lock relic we used on the gates of the demon realm was only a one-ti offer. And that was even from Uriel, who went behind Michael’s back."

He paused before adding.

"We will only be wasting ti we don’t have."

Thyron’s gaze moved towards him quickly and this ti she looked mad.

"You don’t need to remind us, Syqora. We know all of this. But this is no longer sothing they can ignore."

Aiden knew all of this as well due to the mories of the dragons within him.

Syqora sighed again and shook his head.

Then Aiden spoke up.

"She’s right, Syqora. They can’t ignore this any further. Only they could possibly have sothing strong enough to put Samael down."

He paused, then said firmly.

"We have to go to the First Firmant."

———

Within Eden, in the grand hall where the wedding ceremony was supposed to have taken place, Samael stood by a corner with his demon lords gathered behind him.

He had been quiet for so ti now, putting his thoughts into perspective.

Morrigan stood a few paces behind him, waiting patiently for him to speak.

Finally, Samael broke the silence and said,

"It’s the dragons who did this, but not just any dragon."

He turned his head slightly, glancing back toward Morrigan without fully facing her.

"It’s the black dragon’s vessel who also holds the power over space. It is as though he knows and is directly thwarting ."

Morrigan inclined her head respectfully before asking.

"What are the orders now, my Lord?"

Samael was silent for a mont before saying, "Right now, I cannot sense the presence of any dragon on Earth. But I know sooner or later... they have to co out."

Morrigan nodded silently in acknowledgnt.
