Lu Xuan’s heart sank. He had a bad feeling. Just as he was about to ask, the Daoist waved his hand.

"Alright, it’s ti for you to go. I won’t waste any more ti. When you’ve comprehended two hundred of the Slaying Sword Form’s Great Dao Texts, I will impart the next sword to you."

He then glanced at his own leg, which had just been struck by the Duster, and added a warning:

"Whatever you do, don’t tell Supre what happened here. Rember this! Rember it well!"

Lu Xuan bowed respectfully and asked one last question:

"Three Masters, I still don’t know your specific title..."

"Heh, I have countless incarnations, yet all are my true self. Each has a different title, from Jade Universe Daoist Monarch to Heaven-Reaching... there are too many. As for my original na... it is Spirit Treasure Great Heavenly Venerate. Understand?"

"I understand."

With that said, the Daoist waved his sleeve. Lu Xuan felt the world spin, and by the ti his vision cleared, he was already back in the great tomb.

All around him was a deathly silence, without a single sign of life.

As he scanned his surroundings, Lu Xuan’s expression grew grave.

’Three Masters would never say sothing for no reason. Does that an... I might have to face a Great Grade True Immortal, or even an Immortal?’

’Where is this tribulation coming from? There were no signs at all...’

He pondered for a long ti but couldn’t make heads or tails of it, so he decided to simply accept it.

’It’s just a matter of dealing with whatever cos my way. If an Immortal shows up, I’ll let Three Masters take care of it...’

’Wait!’

The youth’s face suddenly soured as he rembered a very serious problem.

’Is Three Masters overestimating ?’

’If a being of that level really tries to kill , how could I possibly lure them into the great tomb? How could I lead them to the Origin?’

He shook his head with a wry smile, but imdiately focused his mind and calmly surveyed his surroundings.

This was no longer the sa area he’d been in before entering the Origin. It was dim, gloomy, and vast. In the distance stood a large chair and a small table, with sothing resting on it.

He strode forward and looked down. On the table lay a Golden Long Robe and a strange Bronze Mask.

Lu Xuan wasn’t afraid of any traps. This was his own tomb, after all. He picked up the mask at once and examined it closely.

The Bronze Mask was covered in mottled rust stains. But considering it had sat here for at least tens of thousands of years, the fact that it only had rust stains suggested it was no ordinary object.

The mask’s design was bizarre. It resembled neither ghost nor demon. It was generally humanoid, but not entirely, giving it an extrely awkward appearance that sent a chill down one’s spine.

After everything he had been through, Lu Xuan now understood that everything in this tomb existed for a reason, a reason that would be useful to him.

For example, the text on the mural had stated that the past was set in stone while the future was not, and that he could determine parts of the tomb’s layout and arrangents.

Then there was the trial of the giant bronze statue, which had been perfectly tailored for him. It not only allowed him to open four apertures but also led him to slay three Celestial Humans and et Three Masters at the Origin.

That being the case, this mask and this Golden Long Robe must also have a reason for being here—and a purpose.

’What could it be?’

Without hesitation, Lu Xuan decisively put on the mask.

’It’s from my own tomb. What’s there to be afraid of?!’

As he put on the mask, a faint stream of information flowed into his mind, and he instantly understood its purpose.

It could control the gate behind him, the one leading to the deepest part of the tomb.

That was it.

Lu Xuan was slightly puzzled. ’Is that really all? No, there must be other functions...’

He carefully scanned his surroundings. Behind the great seat was an extrely magnificent gateway engraved with profound runes, exuding wisps of the world’s Dao Rhy. This was the gate he could now control.

At the far end of the chamber, opposite the huge gateway and in front of the great seat and table, were two more doors. From their construction, they appeared to open outward—aning they were designed to be pushed open from within this room.

One was marked with the character for ’Heaven,’ the other with the character for ’Human.’

Lu Xuan’s eyes narrowed, his thoughts racing as he analyzed the situation.

’Hmm, I first entered this tomb because of the Supre Foundation Establishnt Chapter. But since it’s my own tomb, it’s not unusual for such a scripture to be here.’

’Later, I stayed in the tomb not just to explore, but for another reason... to hunt.’

’To hunt those Celestial Humans and prodigies who had willingly sided with the Outer Demon Race.’

’So...’

A thought stirred in Lu Xuan’s mind. He had a faint inkling of the purpose of the mask and the Golden Long Robe. But just as he tried to think it through...

RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE!!

Of the two doors facing the great seat and table, the one engraved with the character for ’Human’ began to shake, as if soone were pushing it open from the other side!

Lu Xuan acted instantly. To be on the safe side, he first activated the shapeshifting technique Uncle Ao had taught him. By controlling his own bones and muscles, he changed his face to resemble Wu Xiaoxu.

Next, he donned the Golden Long Robe. The robe and mask complented each other perfectly, giving him an air of great, grim majesty, and his own aura was completely concealed.

Then, Lu Xuan calmly sat down upon the great seat, placing his hands flat on his knees. He activated his Primordial Body. The imposing aura that was already leaking from the artifacts, combined with the dim and gloomy surroundings, created a truly vast and mighty presence.

......

In East Sea City, the rain was coming down harder and harder.

「In the villa.」

Yan Jiangxue frowned slightly. "Director, what in the world is going on?" she asked softly.
