So students noticed sothing was wrong and began to disperse, leaving an even larger empty space in the center.
A few of the teachers in charge of guiding new students noticed the commotion. They started to head over for a look, but upon spotting Wu Shangpin in the mix, they stopped dead in their tracks, turned, and walked away.
’The son of our province’s Grand Governor, the son of an Earth Immortal... This is a ss you don’t want to get mixed up in.’
Off to the side, Tang Yuanyuan retreated a few steps with the crowd, but she was still discreetly holding up her phone. The number of viewers in her livestream had grown, but most were issuing warnings.
[Xiaotangyuan, are you crazy?! You’re way too close! Back up, or you’re gonna get blood splattered on your face!]
Tang Yuanyuan shrank back, muttering under her breath,
"You’re all overreacting. It’s not going to be *that* bad, is it...?"
[Not that bad? That’s Wu Shangpin! Xiaotangyuan, you’re getting dumber by the minute!]
"Don’t call dumb! I’m a Bone Marrow Refining Martial Master! You have to call Master!"
「anwhile, in the center of the crowd.」
Wu Shangpin’s expression darkened, a hint of coldness in his eyes. He didn’t lash out imdiately, but simply said in a flat tone,
"Classmate, are you refusing to show this courtesy?"
Yan Jiangxue glanced at him, her expression frosty, and spoke with a tone that kept everyone at arm’s length.
"I don’t know you, nor do I have any desire to. Please leave alone."
Her chilly, yet lodious voice carried clearly, and the students watching from the sidelines couldn’t help but gulp.
’Such a blunt rejection, completely humiliating Wu Shangpin...’
A look of pity appeared on one student’s face. He shook his head, sighing to himself,
"She could have at least played along a little, given him a way to back down gracefully..."
Amidst the murmuring, Wu Shangpin’s expression turned even darker, his eyes narrowing dangerously.
He turned his head to Lu Xuan, who was sitting beside Xiaoyan, and barked impolitely,
"What’s your na? Do you know who I am?"
Wu Shangpin thought the young man looked vaguely familiar, as if he had seen his picture sowhere, but he didn’t dwell on it.
Lu Xuan slowly lifted his gaze and said deliberately,
"Get out."
The whispers ca to an abrupt halt.
Everyone looked up, dumbfounded. All eyes turned to him in disbelief. Even the comnts in Tang Yuanyuan’s livestream went silent for a mont.
[Damn, that’s a true warrior... Or is he just like Xiaotangyuan, completely clueless about who he’s talking to?]
[But he arrived in a Hovercar, so that can’t be it. Maybe he’s also so big shot’s kid?]
[Even if he is, he can’t be bigger than the Grand Governor of an entire province, right?]
[Xiaotangyuan, you really need to back up now! Blood is about to be spilled for real!]
Tang Yuanyuan glanced at the livestream comnts and, heeding their advice, took several more steps back.
By now, she understood the situation. She knew who Eldest Young Master Wu was, which made her all the more astonished by the young man’s words. ’He’s got guts!’
But at this mont, the most stunned person of all was Wu Shangpin himself.
He froze for a second, then asked subconsciously,
"What did you say?"
Lu Xuan felt the softness of Xiaoyan’s hand in his, his voice calm and completely unruffled.
"’Get out.’ It ans you should leave and not be an eyesore here."
Wu Shangpin froze again for a mont before it finally sank in.
"You’re courting death!"
Furious, he erupted. His qi and blood roared as his five organs resonated in unison, casting a radiant glow. He was a Five-organ Grandmaster!
Wu Shangpin struck out with cold fury, showing no rcy. He completely ignored the dozens of watching eyes as his palm, surging with qi and blood, ca crashing down!
A fierce wind kicked up.
Lu Xuan frowned, but before he could make a move, Xiaoyan stepped forward.
"Xiaolu told you to get out."
Her voice was soft and gentle. As she raised her palm, a hazy, jade-white light blood from it, and she pushed forward lightly.
The resonance of her qi and blood actually produced the faint, indistinct cry of a dragon and phoenix. Her jade-white palm descended. Wu Shangpin’s expression changed dramatically. He felt an imnse, overwhelming force, as if a great mountain were collapsing on him.
The next second, under countless astonished and horrified gazes, he was sent flying. The young woman’s deceptively light palm strike launched him backward, a spray of blood trailing behind him as he slamd hard into the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust!
The entire crowded West Gate fell into a dead silence. Students stared at each other, completely bewildered.
Tang Yuanyuan was also stunned. Phone still raised in one hand, she used the other to wipe a speck of blood from her face, rendered speechless for a long mont.
Only then did a couple of comnts drift across the livestream chat.
[HOLY SHIT!]
[Things just got serious... That ice queen is terrifyingly strong. A Five-organ Grandmaster? Or even... a Grandmaster??]
[I don’t know, but she’s clearly got the confidence to back it up. To have that level of cultivation at her age, her background must be terrifying. Could she be from the Wang Family?]
[I just wanna know if Eldest Young Master Wu is dead...]
Amidst the flood of comnts, Wu Shangpin struggled to his feet, his expression a mask of pure shock and fury as he stared death at the two of them.
After a mont, he wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. His earlier arrogance had vanished, replaced by caution.
"May I ask your nas?"
The students glanced at one another. ’Why is Eldest Young Master Wu being so polite all of a sudden?’
’Shouldn’t this be the part where he calls for backup? Get Grand Governor Wu over here so they can have a contest of who has the stronger connections...’
Wu Shangpin gritted his teeth, enduring the sharp pain from his broken hand. His expression grew even more wary.
He was arrogant, yes. In Langya City, he could do as he pleased, acting with impunity most of the ti. But he wasn’t a complete fool.
It was one thing to be treated so coldly even after they knew who he was. But that young woman... she looked seventeen, eighteen at most, yet her cultivation was definitely at the Grandmaster level—higher than his!
’A Celestial Human Family couldn’t produce a prodigy like that,’ he thought. ’She must have an Earth Immortal backing her, too!’
