Underneath a pavilion.

A woman in white robes extended her hand, and a statue of a Heavenly King gently fell into her palm.

"The statue of the Heavenly King is now in hand. Next, we’ll search for the other statues to unlock the Buddha Tower, correct?"

Dong Gong Ruoshu stared curiously at the statue, examining it over and over.

Not every place within the Joyful Sect was as perilous as the Scripture Pavilion. Among the three of them, Yin Weiyin and Lu Ying were both at the Core Formation Realm, making it effortless for them to break through the array in this pavilion.

And, as luck would have it, the pavilion indeed contained a statue of the Heavenly King.

Yin Weiyin, without shifting her gaze, said, "If the four statues of the Heavenly Kings are gathered, the dicine Buddha Tower can be opened. But who knows whether the vestnt robe of Wuxiang Zen Master truly exists."

She wasn’t particularly interested in Wuxiang Zen Master’s robe; what she sought was the thod to destroy the Joyful Sect’s cultivation technique of "harvesting and replenishing."

By common reasoning, such a cultivation technique would either reside in the Scripture Pavilion or within the sect’s forbidden grounds. The Scripture Pavilion’s vast collection of texts had long deterred Yin Weiyin, who had already resolved to set the pavilion ablaze when the ti was right.

Thus, only the dicine Buddha Tower remained. She was determined to enter the tower and find the harvesting technique—only then could she rest easy.

If he couldn’t use his harvesting technique to strengthen his cultivation, he would inevitably tire of it soday.

Dong Gong Ruoshu scrutinized the Heavenly King statue intensely before turning to Lu Ying and asking:

"Which Heavenly King is this?"

"It’s the Growth Heavenly King who wields a sword, the azure blade symbolizing the concept of ’Wisdom Sword Severing Emotional Bonds.’"

After seeing the form of the statue, Lu Ying promptly answered,

"Our Taoist sects have similar beliefs—that one may wield the Wisdom Sword to sever ties to the mortal world, cut away worries, and transcend worldly attachnts, ultimately achieving a state known as Supre Forget Love."

Lu Ying spoke without intention, yet her words struck a chord. The white-robed woman’s hand trembled instinctively as unwanted mories surged forth.

Back in the underground palace, she had been just one step away from crossing through the Gate of Marvels, achieving enlightennt and soaring into immortality. She had ford a Wisdom Sword in her grasp and swung it to cleave through ignorance.

Noticing an unusual flicker in the woman’s eyes, Dong Gong Ruoshu asked, "Miss Yin cultivates the Supre Forget Love Technique, correct? Have you ever wielded the Wisdom Sword to sever emotional ties?"

Her keen observational skills were remarkable; otherwise, even being in the sa sect wouldn’t have made her worthy of being a disciple of the Broken Swordsman.

Yin Weiyin quickly concealed her emotions and replied coolly, "Naturally, I have."

Not only Dong Gong Ruoshu but also Lu Ying’s curiosity was piqued.

"Has Taoist friend truly experienced wielding the Wisdom Sword to sever emotional ties?"

Lu Ying could not help but ask softly.

The Wisdom Sword was the ultimate sword. Many mountain hermits, even after a lifeti of seclusion, fail to cultivate even an inch of it. However, on Yin Sword Mountain, forming the Wisdom Sword was a prerequisite for opening a peak. It ant that once a Wisdom Sword was ford, one was close to initiating a peak.

Her master, Zhou Yitang, had created a Wisdom Sword at the age of twenty, allowing him to command the sword and open Cangwu Peak, thereby gaining the qualifications to teach and pass down knowledge.

In response to Lu Ying’s question, the white-robed woman nodded lightly and then said with a transcendent deanor, "It’s hardly worth ntioning."

Lu Ying was even more astonished. Despite having amazed everyone at the preaching conference in Qingjiang and receiving the sect leader’s evaluation of "A Taoist heart as calm as a heron," she had never let it go to her head. However, she prided herself on her inherent talent, unaware that there were always others greater than oneself. Yin Weiyin, only seven or eight years older than she, had experienced wielding the Wisdom Sword to sever emotional ties. Achieving such a feat requires supre talent, depth of understanding, and extraordinary encounters—none of which can be lacking.

What kind of extraordinary encounter had she experienced?

Reflecting on this, Lu Ying asked, "What kind of extraordinary encounter did Taoist friend experience?"

The woman’s fingertips trembled faintly. The phrase "It’s hardly worth ntioning" wasn’t self-deprecation; it was because this was a topic she dared not touch. Asking about an encounter—what kind of encounter could there even be...

At this mont, avoidance was not an option. To evade the question would not only offend others but might also reveal her vulnerabilities. Thus, Yin Weiyin spoke slowly:

"You could call it an ordinary epiphany—a fleeting glimpse of the Gate of Marvels that led to the formation of the Wisdom Sword. I wielded it in one swing, though my foundation was lacking, hence it’s not worth ntioning."

An ordinary epiphany, a fleeting glimpse of the Gate of Marvels...

Upon hearing this, Lu Ying was even more astonished and instinctively asked:

"What happened after that?"

Yin Weiyin was filled with resentnt...

What happened after that?

What could have happened? The Wisdom Sword shattered, her path to longevity crumbled—then... mugwort grass.

Unwilling to relive the past, Yin Weiyin cast a sidelong glance at Lu Ying, then sighed softly:

"There is an ineffable truth within; striving to explain is futile."

Initially perplexed, Lu Ying mulled it over. The Taichua Goddess cultivated the Supre Forget Love Technique, while Yin Weiyin had experienced an ordinary epiphany. The so-called ordinary epiphany bordered on the dangerous line of qi deviation; could it be that she had succumbed to reckless cultivation yet turned misfortune into fortune, gaining sudden enlightennt by sheer will?

Thus, it was described as an ordinary epiphany...

Truly befitting the Taichua Goddess, turning calamity into opportunity and misfortune into blessings. Reflecting on this, Lu Ying suddenly proclaid:

"The tidal bore of the Qiantang River rushes forth; today, I realize I am truly myself."

Yin Weiyin smiled faintly and nodded lightly.

Exactly like that—stop asking, stop asking...

Have you cultivated so much on the mountain that you’ve grown foolish, oblivious to worldly affairs?

Of all things, the woman in white couldn’t have predicted that she’d spend a day internally mocking soone for cultivating themselves into foolishness.

When she noticed that Lu Ying had no further intention of questioning her, she exhaled deeply in relief.

Shortly after, Yin Weiyin gazed out into the distance and spoke slowly:

"Now that the statue of the Heavenly King is secured, it would be wise not to linger in this place."

As she spoke, Yin Weiyin sensed the faint warmth emanating from the statue.

"Blessings of Infinite Heavenly Venerable, what great fortune! Another statue of the Heavenly King seems to be nearby!"

The woman in white exclaid incredulously.

The other two won’s eyes brightened as well, and Yin Weiyin quickly stepped forward, using the statue as a guide to hasten her steps onto the mountain path.

All three moved swiftly along the route, Yin Weiyin feeling an irrepressible sense of delight.

Heaven truly had eyes!

Ever since the Longevity Bridge had shattered, her fortunes had plumted to rock bottom.

Not only had she been manipulated into an unbearable existence by him, but the ten thousand silver taels spent to claim the heir of Joyful Sect had made a fool of her.

Misfortune stacked upon misfortune, and now it seed that even fate couldn’t bear to leave her stranded in such despair, giving her a chance at redemption.

Yin Weiyin’s breathing quickened with excitent, her pace so swift that she left Lu Ying and Dong Gong Ruoshu far behind as she ascended the hillside alone.

Then, she froze in place.

In the distance, a group of four people approached—two of them monks, the other two a man and a woman.

As Yin Weiyin instinctively stepped back, he, the one with a sword strapped to his back and a blade at his side, happened to raise his head. His gaze locked onto the woman in white standing atop the hill.

Ignorance swept a smile onto his face as he looked toward her.

Yin Weiyin’s entire body trembled.

Curse the Infinite Heavenly Venerable, why is it him again?!

She felt an overwhelming urge to cry with no tears to shed.

Most critically, in her very hands lay the Heavenly King statue he desired!

Fate had cast her to the depths of despair, and now, though it seed about to offer her relief, it shoved her into an even deeper abyss.
