In the distant horizon, an enormous figure descended from the heavens. It was neither human nor ghost, with three heads and six arms, its appearance grotesque to the extre. This entity lood over the entirety of Yu Yong City, as if gazing disdainfully at this insignificant county town.

The heavens and earth abruptly fell into a bizarre anomaly; darkness enveloped the sky. Fear spread like wildfire, and the citizens of Yu Yong City scattered like startled birds and beasts, frantically fighting to flee the city. Within monts, the entire city resembled an empty shell. The teahouse, after an initial tremor, returned to eerie stillness, devoid of a single soul.

The monk from the West furrowed his brow and said:

"An external manifestation of the Heart Demon... the thods of the Taoist sects."

The white-clad female crown was displeased upon hearing this and mumbled:

"Buddhism has its share of such things too."

Yin Tingxue and Dong Gong Ruoshu were witnessing such a scene for the very first ti. As the pressing demonic figure approached, the two won beca restless and uneasy in their seats. Chen Yi gently grasped Yin Tingxue’s hand and entrusted her to the female crown.

"Protect them well."

As Chen Yi spoke, he naturally included Dong Gong Ruoshu in his words.

Yin Weiyin nodded slightly without responding to Chen Yi’s command. She then led the two won downstairs. Chen Yi gazed into the distance at the approaching demonic figure, feeling its overwhelming intent to kill.

"Chen Yi."

The sinister voice of the demon reverberated from outside Yu Yong City, pressing directly into Chen Yi’s ears.

The teahouse shook violently, its plaster falling in waves like debris. Chen Yi discerned the identity of the ghostly demon.

"So, it’s you."

The last heir of the Joyful Sect, Zhao Bai.

All the sect’s fortune had converged onto this one man. And now, the Heart Demon he embodied had beco sothing unimaginably terrifying.

In front of this colossal presence, Yu Yong City seed as fragile as a sculpted walnut.

Upon hearing Chen Yi’s remark, the ghostly demon let out a feral howl. Dark qi coiled and solidified into a blade, slashing directly toward him.

The dark blade-like qi sliced through the county’s buildings as if cutting through tofu. The teahouse was split apart, layers of energy waves sweeping outward. Chen Yi dodged to the side and, turning his head, saw how the demonic qi divided the entire county along the axis of the teahouse into an isolated fragnt.

The teahouse began to collapse, tilting and falling apart. Ruined walls and remnants crashed down in disarray. Inside the teahouse, two monks and a martial artist sprang off the collapsing floor, landing on the street just as the structure crumbled completely.

Upon seeing Chen Yi in person, the ghostly demon let out a spine-chilling screech, so piercing that the teahouse fragnted into confetti-like debris, its rubble scattering amidst the swirling dust and smoke.

The destructive sound of the demon surged forth, only to be repelled by the Buddha Light emanating from Chen Yi’s form. The luminous glow of the crimson-gold Shariputra radiated brilliantly.

The two monks joined in chanting sutras. A frenzied chanting monk revealed a golden hue surrounding his body, his wrists and ankles adorned with Sanskrit inscriptions. It was none other than the Vajra Unbreakable Body of Zen Buddhism. anwhile, the Western monk had already taken a combat stance, standing silently in front, his broad and upright figure surrounded as if by the Eight Heavenly Dragons.

The ghostly demon sneered coldly, striking out with a thunderous palm. Black shadows overlapped endlessly, numbering in the thousands, carrying sharp howls and anguished wails.

The multitude of ghostly shadows surged toward Yu Yong City, transforming the county into a domain of wraiths and spirits. Everywhere, ghastly phantoms clawed with nacing teeth and talons, encircling the three defenders.

The monk from the West shifted his stance, balancing on one foot while raising his two hands as though lifting weights. Above his head, green flas leapt several ters tall, flickering like candles, embodying the form of a Yaksha!

The Yaksha, the ghost-slaying ghost among the Eight Heavenly Dragons, now possessed the Western monk. He unleashed a series of furious punches, with blue flas sweeping away the onrushing phantoms and ghostly shadows.

The ghostly wails echoed amid the blazing flas. Alone, the Western monk stood his ground, blocking the deluge of shadowy assaults.

"You two, head straight for the demon!" the Western monk shouted.

Chen Yi exchanged a glance with the frenzied chanting monk without hesitation. Both activated their Qinggong, their silhouettes darting and weaving between the rooftops and collapsing ruins.

The ghostly demon noticed their movent and, with its three heads and six arms, rapidly ford a Dharma Seal. At the utterance of a thunderous Sanskrit syllable, "Stagnate," Chen Yi and the chanting monk’s movents faltered slightly.

The brief delay occurred precisely where the demon’s elongated middle arms could reach.

The demon grinned sinisterly, clasping its middle arms together with deadly speed, aiming to crush the two figures between its palms.

It was as though two massive peaks were set to converge at teoric speed, seemingly about to inflict crushing death upon Chen Yi and his ally.

At that critical mont, the frenzied monk roared:

"Om!"

His robe sleeves billowed, abruptly extending outward. In an instant, the monk’s body enlarged severalfold, towering over eight to nine ters tall. He transford into a colossal golden figure, radiating a resplendent golden light. As the demon’s mountainous hands struck, the monk’s golden figure braced against them like a living mountain, holding them apart!

The demon let out a ferocious screech, its sound drilling into the frenzied monk’s ears, inciting a maddening cacophony of heart demons.

Yet the monk only paused slightly, his golden glow dimming montarily before laughing heartily:

"Luckily, I’m crazy enough! Otherwise, you might’ve shaken !"

Just as the words left his mouth, Chen Yi suddenly broke free from the demon’s spell. Activating his Qinggong, he drew the Hou Kang Sword and darted up the demon’s arm.

Without the need for excessive exchange, at this level of martial combat, Chen Yi and his allies shared an intuitive understanding of their roles at a re glance.

The demon, noticing the diminutive figure advancing toward it, roared with burning rage. Its pitch-black form ignited with raging black flas.

Cascading tongues of black fire surged from all directions, forcing Chen Yi into a fierce battle. Sword and blade in hand, Chen Yi shattered dozens of flas, but hundreds more surged forth in an overwhelming tide.

Despite the Buddha Light’s protective aura, Chen Yi appeared increasingly strained to cope with the onslaught.

The demon grinned malevolently, condensing the black flas into a colossal shadowy serpent, which hurtled down its arm with unstoppable force.

In the nick of ti, a violent gust swept across. Chen Yi glanced to the side and saw the Western monk erging. His stance transford, resembling a great roc, with ethereal wings taking form behind him. These wings were adorned with solemn and auspicious colors, and atop his head rested a protruding wish-fulfilling jewel—a manifestation of the Golden Winged Garuda among the Eight Heavenly Dragons.

The monk’s flapping wings summoned a gale that pushed the giant black serpent away. Roc and serpent collided, unleashing an imnse spectacle of power!

The Western monk cast a glance at Chen Yi.

Chen Yi didn’t respond with a look but instantly understood the unspoken aning. His figure erupted with speed, slicing through the black flas ahead as he leaped atop the demon’s head.

The pitch-black Hou Kang Sword descended heavily.

The sword light flashed briefly in the oppressive darkness of the skies, so faint it was almost unnoticeable, and it disappeared in an instant.

For a mont, it seed as though nothing had happened.

But the colossal figure froze in place.

The black flas on the demon’s body roared violently, erupting into a whirlwind, before extinguishing like fireworks dissipating into the wind.

The Destruction Zen Sword.

The once roaring black flas now retreated chaotically, layer upon layer receding like a tide, exposing the figure at the demon’s core: Zhao Bai’s deathly pale face.

His blood-red eyes burned with unwillingness and fury as he let out a deranged laugh and asked:

"Why... why does everyone think they can decide my fate?! I only wanted to pass down my martial arts!"

As his words fell, streaks of black fire coiled once more, launching a desperate counterattack.

But Chen Yi’s eyes seed to capture every movent. His sword struck preemptively, severing each streak of fire.

With each advancing strike, the fiery tendrils grew fewer and weaker,

until Zhao Bai’s spirit broke entirely. His face beca ghostly pale as he muttered in despair:

"I only wanted to pass down my martial arts..."

"You wish to pass it down?"

A voice, taunting and cold, replied.

"Did you ask for my permission?"

"Would you help us pass it down?"

A bitter laugh escaped Zhao Bai, but it quickly died away.

"No. I’ll simply eradicate all of you myself."
