POV - (Nanako)

My na is Nanako and I am 39 years old.

I am a divorced housewife who has been raising my daughter on my own for the past 9 years, although it would be more accurate to say that I was the only one who actually raised Maria.

My husband was absent most of the ti and was busy with his work.

I trusted and loved him until I found out that he was having an affair with a young colleague whom he had known for less than a year.

I was overco with rage, and when he returned ho after another business trip, we had a serious argunt and my unworthy husband confessed to his betrayal, but for so reason he blad his wife and accused her of being emotionally cold towards him.

He said that I paid little attention to him and treated him coldly, although in reality it was the opposite.

For him, his mistress was a real woman who could always support him and listen to him in difficult tis, while I, in his opinion, spent most of my ti on trivial things like housework and "easy" child-rearing.

It was very upsetting to hear his words, as I had invested all my ntal and physical health in raising and providing for our entire family, even working part-ti as a librarian to help my husband financially.

I wanted to work full-ti, but I had serious health problems after the birth of my lovely daughter.

The birth was not very successful and I suffered serious internal injuries, which took almost twelve years to heal completely.

In addition to physical injuries, which for so reason took a very long ti to heal, there were also psychological ones, so I suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder for a long ti.

During all this ti, no one helped except my daughter, who, although she did not understand the severity of my condition, tried to support her mother in any way she could.

Neither my parents nor my husband’s parents... none of them helped . I had almost no friends because I was a rather closed person and, to be honest, I was afraid of people.

My parents are good people, they raised with all their care and love, but like , they had serious health problems since birth, so they couldn’t physically help and lived very far away from .

All I know about my husband’s parents is what he told , and they didn’t take any part in our lives because many years ago, they had a big fight with him and refused to call him their son anymore, and my unfaithful now ex-husband left his parents’ house and started living on his own.

Unlike his parents, I still have a warm relationship with mine, even though we only see each other once a year, but... that’s not enough.

I thought I would live with my husband for the rest of my life, but life decided otherwise, and I’m sure it was a good decision.

The evidence this terrible man was senseless and cruel.

This scoundrel even said that there was nothing serious about his cheating and that it was normal in ordinary families.

When I told him to imagine how he would feel if his own wife did the sa, he just laughed.

He replied that this only applies to n, that they are allowed to "play" with as many won as they want, and that their wives should keep quiet and carry on for the sake of their family.

My husband said that he was allowed to do anything, and I had to fulfill his whims and be a "normal" woman.

I was so blind to him that I didn’t even know that my husband was such a selfish and narcissistic person.

We continued to argue, and suddenly a na familiar to slipped out of his mouth.

- (Nanako). "How dare you!!!"

This vile scumbag started saying sothing about our forr neighbor’s son and swearing obscenely when ntioning him.

At the sa ti, our forr neighbor had been considered dead for a year, and the fate of his son was unknown.

I just couldn’t believe that my husband could stoop so low as to insult an innocent child.

It seed that his words were filled with resentnt and envy towards this little boy.

He continued to criticize him unrestrainedly, then even our child, accusing her of being an ungrateful little brat who deserved to marry soone like our neighbor’s son in the future, and many, many other horrible things.

In the end, he blad for all our problems and even said that I was the one who cheated first, and that he was always right about everything.

His words were a bunch of illogical nonsense, and I was tired of it.

I told him that it was over between us and that he would no longer be my husband, and I asked him to leave the house, otherwise I would call the police.

He wasn’t scared, but when he saw three police officers, he started to behave differently and eventually left on his own.

It turned out that a few minutes after our argunt, our other neighbors called the police, and they arrived in ti.

I noticed that among the police officers was a woman I knew who had recently helped Sohen when he lived next door.

We t closer and I told her everything.

From her expression, I could see that she was very angry after hearing my words, and then she turned her attention to my husband and warned him that if I still had conflicts with him in the future, he would have very serious problems.

Her last words were not at all what a police officer should say.

Her tone of voice was a warning that she would use her police authority in a more radical way if he tried to harm .

At first, my husband wanted to laugh sarcastically, but the other two police officers, who were much higher in him, asked him to step aside, saying that the female police officer and I had not heard anything.

They spoke for only a few seconds, and I saw my future ex’s face turn pale with fear.

He apologized to and quickly left us.

The two police officers also apologized to for not acting very professionally and said that they understood my feelings very well because they themselves had dealt with their wives’ infidelity in the past and promised that my husband would no longer speak to in a disrespectful tone.

Then they left and left with her colleague.

She tried to cheer up and support , but it was very difficult.

We talked for a few more minutes until the topic of conversation turned to my ex little neighbor.

After ntioning Sohen, I felt worse, and I wasn’t the only one.

A few minutes later, we said goodbye, and I went into my house.

Maria was standing in the living room with a toy that Sohen had once given her.

She ca up to , I knelt down a little in front of her and hugged her, and then we both started crying.

(That bastard forgot about his daughter and made her cry... Maria, my little girl... I’m sorry.)
