The strange energy continued its dance, intertwining with mine in ways that intensified every sensation. It thrashed beneath my skin with each thrust, a warm, tingling feeling that seed to seep into my very bones. And each ti I pushed deep, I felt her pleasure echo through the connection.

It was intoxicating.

I shifted slightly, and she gasped, her back arching. She felt it too. The fullness, the building pressure, that edge between too much and not enough.

My own control was fraying with each thrust. The combination of her physical responses and the way her energy wrapped around mine was quickly becoming too much to bear.

I leaned down, my chest pressing flat against her back as I slid one hand beneath her to cradle her chin. Gently, I tilted her head up and to the side, capturing her mouth in a deep kiss even as I continued moving inside her.

She moaned into my mouth, the vibration of the muffled sound flowing through us both. I swallowed it greedily and her energy surged again. I felt her body clench around in response. The combination of sensations. Her tight heat, the soothing waves of her energy, the taste of her mouth... Everything was rapidly eroding what little control I had left.

I broke the kiss to bury my face in the curve of her neck, my movents becoming less controlled, more instinctive. She was close again. I could feel it through the bond, feel the way her inner walls were beginning to flutter around .

"Kael," she finally whimpered my na after many nurous murmurs.

"I am here," I groaned against her skin.

A few more thrusts and she reached her peak, her body clenching tight around as her second climax rolled through her. The sensation of it, combined with the way her energy peaked and crashed like a wave, dragged over the edge with her.

I finished with a low groan, my hips jerking as I emptied myself inside her. The connection blazed bright for a mont, so intense it was almost blinding, before gradually settling into sothing gentler.

For a long mont, neither of us moved. I stayed buried inside her, feeling the aftershocks ripple through both our bodies. Our energies pulsed together in lazy, contented waves.

But I was far from content.

The swelling started deep inside her, where we were still connected. A gradual expansion that made her breath catch, and her inner walls clench reflexively around .

"Kael. What—" She gasped sharply as I thickened further.

"It’s alright," I breathed against her neck, though my own body trembled with the intensity of it.

I woke to warmth.

Not the vague, distant warmth of morning light through the open doors of the balcony, but the solid, encompassing heat of another body pressed against mine.

My back was tucked against Kael’s chest, his arm draped over my waist in a loose but possessive hold. Our legs were tangled together beneath the sheets, and I could feel the rise and fall of his chest with each breath. His breathing was deep and even against my neck, like he was still asleep.

For a mont, I simply lay there, processing the mont.

He was still here.

The relief that washed through was imdiate and embarrassing in its intensity. The last ti this happened, he wasn’t here when I had woken up. But he was here...

Heat crept up my neck as fragnts of last night returned.

My face burned and I tried to shift slightly, hoping the movent wouldn’t stir him from his sleep.

I imdiately regretted it.

A deep, dull ache radiated from between my legs, spreading through my hips and lower back. It wasn’t sharp or unbearable, but it was definitely there. A reminder of what we’d done.

The thought made my face burn hotter, but I couldn’t quite bring myself to regret it.

I doubted I would be able to walk properly or even move for the next few hours. Possibly longer.

The thought should have alard , but for so strange reason, my lips trembled as I found myself smiling wryly despite the soreness.

Behind , Kael stirred. His arm slightly tightened around my waist, pulling closer against him. I felt his breath change, becoming less even, and knew he was waking up.

My pulse quickened.

"Violet," he murmured, and the sound of my na in that gravelly tone did strange things to my stomach.

"Good morning," I whispered back, not sure why I was keeping my voice so quiet. Maybe it was because the mont felt fragile, and if I spoke too loudly, I might shatter it.

He was silent for a mont, and I wondered if he had drifted back to sleep when I felt his lips press against the curve of my neck.

I squird at the cold feeling that trailed down my spine.

"How do you feel?" he asked quietly.

I closed my eyes as my face heated again. "I’m... sore, but... fine," I admitted.

"I’m sorry."

His hand moved from my waist, fingers tracing idle patterns on my stomach. The touch was soothing, and comfortable in a way that made my body ache with sothing I didn’t want to examine too closely.

"That’s... that’s ticklish." I tried to sit up, my hand closing around his wrist in an effort to stop his fingers from escalating the situation.

He chuckled and brought down, hugging to his chest. His cheek nestled against mine and the warm feeling blossoming in my chest spread to my stomach.

"I’ll be very busy for the next few days, starting today," he murmured, the muscles in his jaw gently nudging the side of my face. "I will be welcoming the Supre Alphas coming soon, along with their entourage."

I nestled in his hold, closing my eyes. "I don’t mind."

While I was relaxed, I felt a faint unease.

Damon would be here soon.
