Breaking through the Innate Realm from the Postnatal Peak Realm is a huge hurdle for those with inferior talent, and so people spend their whole lives unable to achieve this breakthrough.
However, Li Hengsheng has no such worries.
After Li Hengsheng replaced his Divine Phoenix Bone, his talent had already reached the level of a genius, and breaking through from the Postnatal Peak Realm to the Innate Realm was rely a matter of ti.
Under normal circumstances, it requires the accumulation of years of cultivation, transforming one’s Inner Strength into Innate True Essence. Once all the Inner Strength has been thoroughly transford into Innate True Essence, it purifies oneself, elevating one’s life force to truly step into the Innate Realm.
But for a genius like Li Hengsheng, he doesn’t need to actively transform it; his Inner Strength is already converting automatically.
However, there is a drawback to this; Li Hengsheng’s physical cultivation is too strong, and the Inner Strength contained within him is dozens of tis that of an average martial artist of the sa realm!
Even though it’s transforming automatically, the speed is still very slow. At the current rate, Li Hengsheng estimates that it will take him three years to break into the Innate Realm!
But three years is too late; Li Hengsheng cannot wait that long.
Without breaking into the Innate Realm, there is no sense of security in the Cangyuan Realm.
Li Hengsheng didn’t fully feel it before, but now he’s very clear, as he’s constantly in danger.
There is a way to break through to the Innate Realm quickly, and that is to take rare and precious treasures to enhance one’s transformation speed.
However, Li Hengsheng can’t afford such treasures now, and he’s not even sure if they are available for sale in Ghost City.
What troubles Li Hengsheng the most is that after waking up, he found himself in Ghost City, unaware of who took all his belongings.
The loss of a large amount of money is one thing, but the most distressing is losing his six drops of Dragon Blood Essence.
This is what grieves Li Hengsheng the most.
Otherwise, after stepping into the Innate Realm, he could find an opportunity to refine the Seven Treasures Glaze Pill to cultivate his Sun and Moon Immortal Demon Divine Body to the realm of Great Success.
Southern Wilderness, the Su family.
The whole Su family was a bit shocked by Su Xianci’s recent changes. Su Xianci was previously capricious and temperantal, but since being rescued this ti, his personality has beco much more subdued, still present but not as intense as before.
However, no one suspected anything, as being trapped in the Great Dream Soul Stone before, who knows what he went through.
It’s normal for one’s personality to change.
Moreover, the other person who ca back with him, Su Zheng, has gone completely mad, completely abnormal.
The Su family consulted many people but was powerless.
Every day he mutters to himself, and no one understands what he says.
When called by his na, he just stands there at attention.
The disciple who delivers als is confused every ti, having to listen to Su Zheng talk about thanking the governnt or sothing, which he doesn’t really understand.
Su Shizhong is also at a loss.
He was curious and asked Su Xianci what the world inside the Great Dream Soul Stone was like.
But the real Su Xianci is already dead, and the current Su Xianci is actually Wu Santong’s soul transferred over, having never experienced the Great Dream Soul Stone’s world.
So whenever Su Shizhong asked that question, Wu Santong would shout and then fall to the ground foaming at the mouth.
Frightened, Su Shizhong never dared to ask again.
The elder one is already crazy, and he didn’t want the younger one to follow suit.
Moreover, the changes in Su Xianci have delighted the higher-ups of the Su family, allowing him to focus on cultivation, becoming much more composed, and having his own insights on many matters, earning the admiration of many senior mbers.
Now, Wu Santong is regarded as a key figure to cultivate.
He is followed by many hangers-on.
Beside the lake at Wu Santong’s estate, Wu Santong was fishing.
He had heard about the recent events in the Cangyuan Realm, and his biggest concern was Li Hengsheng, who remained missing with no news. He had sent many to search for information about Li Hengsheng, but to no avail.
The good news was that there hadn’t been any news of Li Hengsheng getting caught.
Who would have thought such changes could occur.
"Xianci, fishing again?"
At this mont, a young man approached from behind, smiling as he sat next to Wu Santong.
"Why are you here?"
Wu Santong looked at him, recognizing Su Zuo, another direct descendant of the Su family but with limited ambition, not qualified to compete for the title of Saint Heir, and often involved in trivial matters, causing the upper echelons of the Su family to lose faith in him.
They rarely interacted, so Wu Santong found it strange for Su Zuo to seek him out.
"Haha, just had so free ti today and thought I’d co see you and fish with you."
Saying this, Su Zuo picked up a fishing rod as well.
As they fished, Su Zuo reminisced about their childhood events.
This put Wu Santong on alert.
Could Su Zuo have discovered sothing and was here to probe?
Although the Cangyuan Pavilion provided detailed information, it couldn’t cover every trivial childhood event of Su Xianci’s; thus, Wu Santong was cautious in his dialogue with Su Zuo, speaking more on well-docunted matters and vaguely on ambiguous ones.
They talked for over half an hour before Su Zuo finally smiled and asked, "Xianci, do you rember Li Yun?"
"Li Yun?"
Wu Santong carefully recalled his mories but found no trace of such a person.
Suddenly, Wu Santong felt that all the previous conversations were a setup, and this was what Su Zuo truly intended to discuss.
But who was Li Yun?
"No impression," Wu Santong said calmly.
"Oh, really." Su Zuo laughed. "I heard he used to work as a guard at our Su family, and once..."
Su Zuo narrated the tale, observing Wu Santong’s reaction.
Wu Santong was listening quietly, initially believing there was nothing in his intelligence records about this. But suddenly, he thought the story sounded familiar!
"I am also a disciple of Mu Haifeng; you can call senior brother from now on."
"If anyone bothers you at Mu Haifeng, ntion , and I’ll back you up."
"Turns out he was a direct disciple!"
At this thought, Wu Santong’s eyes brightened. Wasn’t this the scenario when he first t Li Hengsheng? At the Futu Pavilion entrance, he mistook Li Hengsheng for a new junior brother at Mu Haifeng and spoke such words, only to later discover Li Hengsheng was a direct disciple!
The stories were almost identical!
Li Yun?
"Does such a person not exist?" Su Zuo watched Wu Santong’s expression and laughed. "I just heard it in casual conversation and thought it might be real."
"Indeed, there was such an incident." Wu Santong chuckled. "I found that person quite interesting at the ti."
"Really?" Su Zuo was taken aback.
"Yes," Wu Santong stated quietly. "Li Yun, I rember him well; he was quite capable."
"Did you hear news about him recently?" Wu Santong queried.
"No, just overheard people chatting about it." Su Zuo continued to chat lightly, then found an excuse to leave.
As Wu Santong watched Su Zuo’s departing figure, he beca even more convinced that soone had found Li Hengsheng. However, they couldn’t confirm his identity, hence the probing through Su Zuo, who was there to verify certain details.
"Senior brother, take care," Wu Santong solemnly whispered.
