Chapter 794

Anna and her dorm mates, Avina, Normumu, and Alethea, were enjoying their day outside, buying all the things they thought they would need while delving into dungeons. They did not waste any ti and imdiately left the premises of the academy once they received permission from their teachers to purchase supplies.

The main issue that made their guards complain a little was that half of the girls’ purchases were useless things like the newest fashion and accessories. Their guards were whispering to each other that if they had the wealth of the girls, their gears would have been the best in the industry already.

Looking at the girls’ seemingly inexhaustible energy, purchasing useless things made their guards exhausted, but at least the guards tried their best not to show their state to their mistresses.

After their shopping spree, which they only completed at around four in the afternoon, Anna’s friends followed her back to the Rose Manor. Anna still had to ask Daniel and Ingrid, her father’s vice captains, to accompany her on her delve. Thankfully, when they arrived at the manor, Raymond inford her that the vice captains were at ho.

“Miss Anna, Raymond told us that you have sothing to request of us?” Ingrid asked Anna.

They were currently in one of the manor’s salons overlooking the gardens. Anna’s classmates were in awe of Anna’s family garden because the flowers there were always in bloom, and the sweet sll of the flowers encompassed the whole manor.

They were eating pastries made by the manor’s cook, and the food was excellent. The manor’s kitchen staff were confident of their pastries because the flour they used was made from the grains from the manor’s small grain field that were nurtured by the Mana Rain, which was one of Anton’s spells, just like the flower garden and the fruit orchard.

Anton told her that Mana Rain ca from a derivation of the Blizzard spell, which was one of the Sorceress spells. That was why Anna started studying mana structure so she could imitate Anton and convert so of the Sorceress skills. Still, she knew it would probably take her a long ti because the project was exceedingly complex. The Mana Structure of the Ice Bolt spell defeated her, and based on her estimation, just that low-level spell alone would take her years to unravel.

“I’m hoping that you and Daniel would accompany in delving the 20th floor of the Goblin Cave dungeon as my guards. The delve is an approved field trip by the academy,” Anna told Ingrid.

“I’ll be happy to accompany you, Miss Anna. I just ca out of the dungeon, so I’m free in the next couple of weeks,” Ingrid replied imdiately, with Daniel saying the sa thing.

What Anna did not know was that any of Anders’s n would be happy to help her. All of them were extrely grateful to Anna’s father. They had beco powerful adventurers because of Anders, and so far, they had not done anything to repay their captain for everything he had done for them.

“That’s settled then! Please go to the academy the day after tomorrow,” Anna told the two vice-captains.

After the two adventurers left, Anna told her classmates that it was ti for them to return to the academy since their permission from the school was supposed to be until sundown.

“We still have around two hours left! We can still watch one of your family’s movies,” Alethea said.

“We can’t do that. We’re cutting it close already. We shouldn’t do anything that could jeopardize our place in the field trip,” Normumu told everyone.

Even though Anna would also like to remain at the manor and watch a movie, she knew that Normumu was correct. Especially with her situation. It had taken a lot to convince her advisor that she was a responsible wizard who could be allowed to delve into dungeons. If that was taken away from her simply because she watched a movie, it would cost her a lot. Anna felt like she needed to level up her Sorceress class as soon as possible because of the situation. She actually wanted to kick herself when she declined Anton’s offer of carrying her inside the deep floors of a high-level dungeon. That would have allowed her to gain levels at an extrely fast rate, but she thought then that she had ti.

Alethea and Avina sulked when Anna agreed with Normumu, but they understood her situation. Combat experience was truly important for budding wizards like them because the world was not peaceful.

Anna had shared with her classmates that Anton returned to Rendindura sneakily to battle the undead there, and for so reason, the wizards from Ormunda and New Drennor just let him, despite the fact that her brother was considered the source of an important resource, which was the portal scrolls. Anna’s father also joined the fight against the undead in New Drennor. That ant that the war was sothing they could not ignore.

Everyone had a feeling of dread, and the only solution they could think of was to try their best to gain power as fast as they could, since power was the only thing that could allow them to fight when the ti to fight arrived. Not only Avina, Normumu, and Alethea, but almost all of Anna’s classmates thought that the reason why Anna’s speed in climbing the wizardry rank was that she wanted to join the fight together with her father and brother.

If Anna’s classmates were being honest, they pitied Anna a little. Anna was just a little girl. She was supposed to be enjoying her life playing with her friends and looking at boys her age, but instead, she and her family had been busy running from the undead, and now the girl was busy reaching for power. Anna basically did not have a childhood and was forced to grow up to survive. Her dorm mates knew her history, so they knew her heartbreaking history of losing her friends that she had aboard the ship, Alia. At least, they all had a good childhood compared to Anna.

When they returned to the school, the four of them started organizing their storage items to make sure that they had all the things they would need to survive the 20th floor of Goblin’s Cave.

After that, Anna requested to talk to her dorm mates about the dungeon.

“I have sothing to request from you three. Please allow to kill the dungeon monsters and join only if I don’t have the energy to fight anymore,” Anna asked the three.

Avina, Normumu, and Alethea were a little bewildered at Anna’s request. Her three classmates looked at each other and seed to reach the sa conclusion.

“We can do that, but you have to tell us first why you need to do that,” Alethea asked.

Anna did not hesitate. She already prepared a story to tell her dorm mates.

“Anton gave a powerful, unique magic item. I’m truly sorry that I can’t show you the item. My brother’s gift needed to grown and the only way for it to grow was for to kill dungeon monsters.”

“Is the ice spell that can be cast nonstop co from that gift?” Avina asked, and Anna nodded.

Avina was talking about Anna’s Ice Bolt spell. She showed the spell to her dorm mates and was impressed at how fast she could cast it as many tis as she wanted.
