——That person’s intelligence was actually correct...
Using the effects of "Take the Lead," Aoto first charged into the enemy formation, once again expressing astonishnt in his heart, as he forcefully shook his Jitte to fling away the blood remaining on its tip.
Aoto’s strike ca too fast, too suddenly, stunning the Anti-foreigner Group mbers around him for an instant.
And in just that brief mont, Aoto’s Jitte had swung again, striking the left shoulder of a big fellow to his left.
The Jitte is made of iron, and when hit by such a big iron rod, the big fellow imdiately let out a grievous scream and staggered back several steps.
But perhaps because this big fellow’s body was relatively strong, he managed to stay standing after retreating several steps.
The big fellow steadied himself, then gritted his teeth, raising his sword high and chopping towards Aoto.
Aoto, unhurriedly, stepped back half a step, placing the Jitte horizontally before him, using its side branch to block the big fellow’s chopping sword.
The Jitte is reputed to be the nesis of swords—and this nickna isn’t wrong.
The front end of the Jitte’s handle has an upward-pointing hook that can be used to catch the enemy’s blade.
Masters of Jitte Technique can even break the enemy’s blade using special techniques once they’ve hooked it with the Jitte.
Though Aoto couldn’t perform such advanced Jitte techniques, he’s more than capable enough to use the Jitte to hook an enemy’s blade.
Holding off the big fellow’s sword, Aoto raised his right hand in the next instant, pressing onto the hilt of Ghost-Slaying, and with a tallic "clank," his right arm snapped open like a taut bowstring, unsheathing Ghost-Slaying!
The air was sliced, and the blade turned into a needle-thin beam of light that swept across the big fellow’s chest, directly knocking him to the ground.
So sharp-eyed mbers of the Anti-foreigner Group then noticed the Magistrate’s Seal Cage at Aoto’s right waist.
"It’s an Official from the Magistrate’s Office! The Official from the Magistrate’s Office is here!" This shout added an atmosphere of panic among the mbers.
Why has the Official from the Magistrate’s Office co?
How did they get here so quickly?
This isn’t right!
A small portion were confused, but more people, filled with murderous intent, raised their swords.
If they were afraid of the Official from the Magistrate’s Office, they wouldn’t have joined the Anti-foreigner Cause!
"Don’t be afraid! It’s just a few of them! Let’s go together! Kill them!"
The Anti-foreigner Group mbers spread out like a net, enclosing Aoto and... Saito and others who had lagged half a step behind Aoto.
Saito and his companions, who were half a step behind Aoto, managed to gather beside him before the "encirclent net" ford by the mbers.
Aoto, Saito, Nagakura, Harada, Fujimura—they ford a small circle with their backs against each other, facing off against the encircling Anti-foreigner Group.
Aoto, expressionless, scanned the surrounding enemies, then withdrew the left-handed Jitte back into his right waist, switching to a two-handed grip on his sword.
The suffocating standoff between the two sides didn’t last long—with the roar of inciting montum and sounds of unsheathing and swinging swords, the "encirclent net" around Aoto and others suddenly tightened!
"Well, well..." Harada grinned at the crowd, "That guy earlier was right... The Foreign Language Research Institute really was attacked..."
After expressing his low-key sentint, Harada lowered the spear from his shoulder, adopting the stance of Treasure House Gun Technique, and thrust towards an approaching group mber.
This mber, either ignorant of the spear’s power or too confident in his strength, did not dodge Harada’s spear thrust, instead raising his sword as if to block it.
But his movent was a half step too slow.
His sword was only halfway up when Harada’s spear pierced through his body.
Seizing the montum, Harada swept his spear to the right, flinging the corpse on its tip, which then crashed heavily into another person, sending them flying.
Nagakura, trained in the Mindless Stream, famous for "strength" and practicality in combat, uses a very aggressive fighting style.
He unsheathed the sword at his waist, making a sweeping attack, slicing the neck of a group mber on his front left, as the blade passed, leaving the person’s head barely attached to the body.
Recognized for the "intense combat effectiveness" and rich experience of No External Stream, Saito is the most efficient in killing.
Saito first cut forward, smashing one person’s crown, then returned the sword to slice open another’s gut, followed by raising the sword tip to pierce the throat of a guy who had been howling non-stop, lying dead at his feet within 3 seconds.
Compared to Saito and others, Fujimura’s performance was sowhat lacking.
Fujimura’s real sword combat experience seed insufficient.
At this mont, he lacked the composure he showed when tested by Aoto earlier this morning.
His muscles were tense and his movents were stiff as he struggled against a sturdy big man, unable to determine the winner for a while.
Fortunately—Aoto and Saito were now on Fujimura’s left and right sides, sharing a significant amount of pressure with him.
