After an hour, the flag ceremony finally concluded. All the students returned to their respective classes, and a lively atmosphere filled the field once again. The sounds of laughter, chatter, and the footsteps of students leaving the lines transford the atmosphere from quiet to boisterous.
Anindya regrouped with her friends and walked towards their class. Along the way, the four of them arrived at Julian’s class line.
As they reached Julian’s class line, Anindya reflexively slowed her pace. Her eyes darted around, searching for the figure that had been haunting her thoughts.
Julian’s classmates, who were still hanging around in the line, glanced at Anindya and her friends. Julian’s classmates stared at Anindya and her friends with surprised expressions, wondering who Anindya was staring at.
But all of these questions were answered when Julian’s friend, Wiro, was still hanging out on the field with his classmates. Wiro approached Anindya and her bestfriends.
"Hey! You must be looking for Julian, right?" Wiro asked with a friendly smile.
"Yes" Anindya answered softly.
"If I’m not mistaken, you’re his friend, right?" Anindya asked Wiro.
"Yes, let introduce myself. My na is Wiro Sutrisno" Wiro said.
"Nice to et you, my na is Vanessa Anindya" Anindya said.
Without further ado, Anindya asked about Julian.
"Do you know where Julian?" Anindya asked.
"Of course! He’s already back in class," Wiro replied.
Hearing Wiro’s answer, Anindya was surprised. She imdiately lowered her gaze and put on a sad expression.
"Muuu~!... He’s back in class," Anindya muttered sadly.
"Why is Julian avoiding ? Does he hate because I’m too attached to him?" Anindya asked herself.
Anindya’s friends looked at each other with worried expressions. One of them approached Anindya and said,
"Ninin, don’t worry. Julian probably doesn’t know you’re going to see him" Wulan said, holding Anindya’s right shoulder.
"Yes, Anindya, what Wulan said is true. Just think positively" said Delima, who was to Anindya’s left.
Anindya, who was sad, suddenly perked up and said,
"You’re right! I have to think positively!" Anindya said enthusiastically.
"Good, now let’s go back to class" Desy said to Anindya.
"Okay!" Anindya replied.
After that, Anindya thanked Wiro for the information.
"Thank you for the information" Anindya said with a sweet smile.
"You’re welco!" Wiro replied with a smile.
Anindya and his friends started walking off the field. Wiro waved at them and murmured.
"You’re so lucky, Julian, to have such a beautiful and friendly girlfriend" Wiro muttered with a small smile.
On the way, Anindya chatted with Julian via WhatsApp.
"Hi, Julian. I was looking for you on the field, but Wiro said you’d already gone back to class. It’s okay... I just wanted to chat for a minute" Anindya said in the chat.
After pressing send, Anindya sighed softly. Wulan, Delima, and Desy, who were walking beside her, imdiately glanced at her phone curiously.
"Have you chatted him?" Desy asked, looking at Anindya.
"Yeah, I hope she replies..." Anindya muttered, staring at her phone screen.
Upon arriving at class, Julian still hadn’t responded to Anindya’s ssage. This depressed Anindya, and she wondered.
"Could Julian really be bothered?" Anindya thought to herself with a sad expression.
Her bestfriends could only watch from their seats with worried expressions. As class began, Anindya’s phone screen suddenly lit up. She peeked under her table where her phone was placed.
It turned out that a notification from Julian had co in. She looked happy to see that it was from Julian. Anindya tried to control herself, looking at the teacher who was explaining the lesson, then said
"Excuse , Ms. Aisyah!" Anindya said, raising her hand.
The teacher stopped explaining and asked Anindya.
"Yes, what’s wrong, Anindya?" Ms. Aisyah asked
"May I go to the restroom?" Anindya replied.
"Go ahead, Anindya" Ms. Aisyah replied.
"Thank you, Ms. Aisyah!" Anindya said.
With a happy feeling, Anindya took her phone from under the table and put it in her skirt pocket. She walked out of the classroom with a happy feeling.
Her bestfriends could already guess why Anindya had asked to go to the restroom. Delima and Wulan, sitting in the front row, exchanged glances, holding back smiles. Delima, sitting to Wulan’s right, whispered softly
"She must be trying to reply to Julian’s text" Delima whispered with a small smile.
Wulan nodded in agreent.
"Hehe, hopefully there’s good news for Ninin" Wulan said with a chuckle.
Desy, sitting to Anindya’s right, couldn’t help but smile, placing her right hand on her chin and glancing at Anindya as she exited the classroom.
anwhile, in the quiet school hallway, Anindya turned on her cellphone with a happy feeling, but when she turned on her cellphone, several students passed by in the hallway and from a distance, Anindya saw one of the teachers walking to another class.
Unable to calm down, Anindya decided to head to the restroom to reply to Julian’s text.
Upon arriving at the restroom, Anindya imdiately entered one of the stalls and locked the door. She sat on the toilet, took a deep breath to calm herself, then opened Julian’s chat. It read:
"Sorry, Anindya... I rushed back to class because I had an assignnt I hadn’t finished. I wasn’t avoiding you, seriously" Julian said in the chat.
Anindya’s eyes lit up. A smile spread across her face, her sadness slowly evaporating, replaced by relief and happiness. She quickly typed a reply:
"Oh, is that so. I thought you were angry or feel disturbed because I was sticking to you too much hehe" said Anindya in the chat.
It didn’t take long for Julian to reply.
"No, I’m actually happy about it" Julian said in the chat.
Anindya covered her mouth to hold back a smile, her heart throbbing with joy at the words. Then she replied to Julian’s ssage.
"Hehehe, then how about we et during the first break?" Anindya said in the chat.
"Okay, fine!" Julian replied in the chat.
Seeing the chat, Anindya beca happy and excited.
