Chapter 152: A Trio Performance

It made sense, Zhang Dong thought as he approached the duo. After all, no one would dare to perform on the streets without so serious skill.

Monts later, just as the crowd was fully imrsed in the piano and cello duet, a new sound joined the mix—a violin. Its elegant tones wove seamlessly into the lody of Spanish Bullfighting Song, adding layers of richness that elevated the entire piece.

Lin Tian turned his head slightly, spotting a man with a phone strapped to his chest playing the violin as he walked closer. The sudden addition of the violin drew gasps of admiration from the onlookers.

"Another master?!"

"Wow, piano, violin, and cello together—this is amazing!"

"Wait, isn't this guy live streaming?"

"Who is he? So influencer?"

Zhang Dong ignored the murmurs, basking in the mont. His fans in the live chat were already going wild.

"This is it! Hero enters the scene!"

"Brother Dong's entrance is fire! Absolutely epic!"

"Oh my god, it's Brother Dong's signature Spanish Bullfighting Song!"

"Teach them how it's done, Brother Dong!"

"Haha, I bet these two have no idea they're jamming with one of Bilibili's top creators!"

Though Lin Tian was initially puzzled by the newcor, he didn't feel any animosity. In fact, the violinist's skill surprised him—not because of technical brilliance but because of his familiarity with the piece. Clearly, this wasn't soone who played casually; he had practiced this song extensively.

For Lin Tian, having a competent violinist join the performance only added to the overall effect. If anything, it made the music more dynamic. Feeling inspired, Lin Tian poured more energy into his fingers, accelerating the tempo of the piano.

Gan Yanyu seed to catch his cue instantly. Her bow moved faster, matching the quickened pace.

The tempo increased.

Zhang Dong noticed the change and smirked. So, they wanted to show off, did they? Fine then. He wasn't about to back down.

Let's see what you've got, he thought smugly. You clearly don't know who I am—the person who knows Moonlight and Cat's music better than anyone else online.

With that, Zhang Dong pushed himself harder, matching their speed note for note. The music surged forward, growing faster and faster.

But sothing felt… off. Zhang Dong's hands began to falter. The bow in his grip felt heavier with each passing second, and yet the other two showed no signs of slowing down. Their movents remained smooth, precise, almost effortless.

What kind of terrifying hand speed was this?

Zhang Dong stole glances at the pair, trying to gauge their expressions under their masks. Though their faces were obscured, their body language betrayed nothing. They seed completely unfazed.

No, I can't stop now, Zhang Dong thought desperately. This is golden content! Even if I die here, this video will get millions of views when I edit and upload it later.

anwhile, the viewers in his live stream started noticing the shift in dynamics.

"Wow, these two are incredible. How are they keeping up at such a high speed?"

"Yeah, this level of skill is insane."

"Probably the strongest random players Brother Dong has ever encountered during a live stream."

...

Zhang Dong was at his limit. His arms burned, veins bulging beneath his skin. His heart pounded furiously in his chest. Despite the pain, he forced himself to maintain a calm exterior, pretending to be lost in the beauty of the performance.

Sweat dripped down his forehead in large beads. Who would've thought that a random street performance could end like this—with him being utterly outclassed?

He regretted listening to his viewers' suggestions. What had he been thinking, jumping into a performance with strangers? These weren't ordinary passersby—they might even be professional musicians hiding behind those masks!

Finally, rcifully, the music ca to an end.

As soon as the last note faded, Zhang Dong leaned against the piano, gasping for air. The crowd erupted into applause, cheering wildly. In the live chat, ssages of praise flooded the screen.

"Damn, those two are amazing. This video's gonna blow up!"

"Am I imagining things, or did Brother Dong ss up near the end?"

"What happened to Brother Dong? Why's he panting so hard after just one song? Has he been slacking lately?"

"Hurry, play another one! Another one!"

Zhang Dong nearly passed out from frustration. Great, they were all enjoying this spectacle while he suffered through hell. And worst of all, none of them realized how brutally difficult the performance had been.

At least I survived, he thought bitterly.

---

After catching his breath, Lin Tian stood up and extended a hand toward Zhang Dong. "Hello," he said politely. It was only proper to acknowledge their collaboration.

"Y-yes, hello," Zhang Dong replied, shaking Lin Tian's hand with trembling fingers. Was it from exhaustion or fear? He couldn't tell.

"Were you live streaming?" Lin Tian asked, nodding toward the cara still dangling around Zhang Dong's neck.

"Oh, uh, just kids ssing around," Zhang Dong stamred, quickly shoving the phone into his pocket.

Lin Tian tilted his head, confused. Then, gesturing toward the violin, he asked, "You play very well. You seem familiar with Moonlight and Cat's music. Would you like to try another piece?"

"No, no, haha, I've got sowhere urgent to be!" Zhang Dong waved his hands frantically, backing away step by step. "I'm sorry for interrupting earlier. Please, continue without !"

Before Lin Tian could respond, Zhang Dong spun around and practically sprinted away, leaving the musician staring after him in bewildernt.

---

Walking briskly down the street, Zhang Dong pulled out his phone again. Faced with a barrage of question marks in the chat, he cleared his throat awkwardly.

"Alright, alright, everyone calm down. Today's live stream hit a snag—I ran into so real pros. Their style was… weird. But hey, you guys aren't musicians, so it's normal you wouldn't understand ‘weird.' Anyway, I bailed. Those two are not normal humans. And please, don't ask to add them on WeChat. Why would I do that? Am I crazy?"

He sighed heavily. "My ntality's shot. I don't feel like practicing anymore today. Guess I'll go ho and edit this footage."

---

Watching the man flee like a startled rabbit, Lin Tian turned to Gan Yanyu with a look of mild exasperation. "Miss Gan, he was just a friendly passerby. Why'd you torture him like that?"

"What? ?" Gan Yanyu blinked innocently, fiddling with her hands.

"Don't play dumb. You kept pushing the tempo the entire ti, didn't you?" Lin Tian said with a wry smile, his tone teasing but pointed.

Lin Tian had only intended to pick up the pace slightly, just enough to add so excitent to the performance. A modest increase, nothing excessive.

But Gan Yanyu? She was like a runaway train, unleashing her full intensity without a second thought for the consequences. The tempo skyrocketed, note after note, as if she were determined to leave the violinist in the dust. Her focus was absolute, her energy unrelenting—like a musical force of nature that refused to be tad.

Performing alongside Gan Yanyu when she got like this was no small feat. In fact, Lin Tian doubted anyone else in the world could keep up with her when she entered what he privately referred to as "Demon Mode." He'd grown accustod to it over ti, but even he sotis struggled to match her ferocity.

It didn't take a genius to figure out what was going on here. This wasn't just about creating an exciting performance—it was personal. Gan Yanyu had clearly been targeting Zhang Dong.

Gan Yanyu lowered her head guiltily. "Hmm… I didn't think he was very polite. And I didn't want anyone interrupting our performance,"
