At the sa mont, after hearing Sun Xu’s words, Xia Na also suddenly sensed sothing amiss.
“Damn it! Don’t let him continue! He’s not just killing people!”
Sun Xu stood motionless where he was, laughing heartily, “Quick reaction, but it’s already too late!”
“Actually, when I killed the first person, you should have realized this. Even though those people would have died sooner or later, if we kept them, at least they could have helped us share so of the pressure. So why would I make a move at this ti?” Sun Xu continued, “So from that mont, I was already up to sothing… No matter what, I won’t lose so easily. Especially after sacrificing everyone, I have to take back this cost from you.”
“Did you get sothing wrong? You’re the one who killed those people. If anyone should take it back, it’s from you. And, it’s not too late at all.” Xia Na rolled her eyes and replied.
“Oh? What can you do?” Sun Xu retorted.
“It’s not too late to kill you!”
Xia Na swiftly approached him from behind, her voice cold. Her previous words echoed from more than ten ters away, but this line was already spoken from less than five ters in front of Sun Xu.
But Sun Xu seed prepared. Spiders suddenly burrowed out from his Hair, rapidly covering his whole body. These Spiders were clearly much larger than those controlled by other parasites, and far more nurous. The mont they appeared, a faint, bloody stench filled the air. Clearly, these Spiders were all highly poisonous.
Ordinary people would already be dizzy just slling this. But for Ye Lian and the others, this was hardly worth ntioning.
The poison gas had no effect. Sun Xu was briefly stunned, but his reaction was quick; he imdiately launched a mass of Spiders outward. If he couldn’t poison them from a distance, then he’d have them bite directly!
As the Spiders pounced, he also spun around, sidestepping Xia Na’s knife edge. At the sa ti, he quickly reached for her neck. And caught nothing!
Countless Spiders exploded from his hand, falling to the ground… The Xia Na in front of him suddenly vanished without a trace…

At the sa ti, Ye Lian and the others appeared near Sun Xu.
The Spiders were fast, but even they couldn’t touch the girls as they moved swiftly. Sun Xu barely managed to leap backward. Just as he tried to move, he heard a “puff”-a blade tip thrust out from his abdon.
“You…” Sun Xu froze, his expression one of disbelief. Before he could say anything, the knife twisted sharply inside him, then was pulled out in one smooth motion.
As blood spurted out, Sun Xu clutched his stomach with both hands, his knees buckling as he fell to the ground. He struggled to look up, just in ti to see Ye Lian’s tall figure erging from behind. In her slender hand, she held a Short Knife unstained by blood…
One second… From the start of the fight to his death, it took only one second… He’d thought of seizing one of them, but never imagined these girls could coordinate so perfectly without a word… Looking back, no wonder the others’ movents had lagged a bit-turns out, from the mont they decided to act, they’d been plotting against him…
“What exactly did you do just now?” Xia Na, expression restored, stepped forward and asked.
Sun Xu stared at them, his gaze unfocused. After spitting out a mouthful of blood, he suddenly curled his lips into a faint smile.
“I…already said it before…it’s really…too late…”

Seeing Sun Xu collapse and die, Xia Na stared at him for a few more monts, then turned her head toward He Zhen’s group. For so reason, Sun Xu’s last words left her with a faint sense of foreboding.
“Why did the Spiders on his body disappear…” Yu Shiran suddenly asked in confusion.
“I…don’t know…” Ye Lian also glanced around curiously, shaking her head. The ground nearby was indeed cleared… Aside from a few dead Spider corpses, there were no living creatures left.
Li Yalin imdiately walked up to Sun Xu’s corpse, squatted to check his eyes, then stood up and said, “They’re gone from his eyes, too. Maybe they were mixed in with those Spiders he threw out earlier.”
“Spiders?” Xia Na frowned, but finally shifted her attention back to He Zhen. “Forget it, let’s not dwell on this for now. We should go check over there. This guy sacrificed so many teammates-he must have a big sche… Now that we finally know their real plan, we can’t let anything else go wrong. Shiran, tell Black Silk and the others not to co here. Have them turn around and help Ling-Ge instead. It’s easier for them to deal with one big Spider than a bunch of little ones.”
“Got it.” Yu Shiran nodded obediently, then closed her eyes. Two seconds later, she opened them again, “Alright, we can go now.”

At this mont, the Mother Spider was still in place. Not far from it was a large hole left behind when it erged from underground. The cent-paved ground seed to be as soft as tofu to it. The small Spiders on its massive body continued crawling about, occasionally burrowing into its mouth-never to reappear…
The Mother Spider’s eight legs moved uneasily, and the eyes on its head glowed like several blood-red bulbs, each looking in a different direction. Vaguely, it seed that an extra pair of eyes had appeared under its abdon, staring ahead with vigilance and cold malice…
