After carrying the Spider Egg, Ling Mo and his group indeed found their actions becoming much smoother.
Whenever those Spiders sensed them from afar, they would imdiately scurry back into the depths of their webs without looking back. Witnessing this, Ling Mo couldn’t help but grow a little curious about those so-called “forbidden zones.”
“Considering that we’ll have to stay here for a while, and that our people will co later to collect the provisions… I think we should go check out that Spider’s lair. For example, its breeding room…” While observing everyone’s reactions, Ling Mo proposed in a low voice.
Except for Mu Chen, whose face imdiately turned quite unpleasant, the rest exchanged silent glances and agreed.

“Didn’t that woman say so? The Zombie must have a motive. So we can’t just sit and wait. We have to strike first. Besides, if that Zombie shows up, we’ll know,” Xu Shuhan called out from ahead.
“That’s right. I don’t know what it wants, but as long as we know what it’s doing here, things will be much easier for us,” Ling Mo added. He hung the Flashlight on his head using a Tentacle, letting its beam move forward as he advanced.
“Look, these passages are clearly used often. Both sides are smooth, and there’s no dust on the floor. Judging by the height, it’s obviously made for that big Spider. Ordinary humans wouldn’t need sothing this tall…” Xia Na looked around in front, reporting her findings. “We already know it likes burrowing,” Ling Mo replied.
“That’s not what I an…” Xia Na’s tone suddenly grew mysterious. “If these passages are just to let them crawl underground and move quickly between warehouses, then what’s the point of this passage that goes who-knows-where?”
As another beam of light swept past, Ling Mo and the others imdiately saw a new branch in the tunnel… Just as Xia Na said, one glance at this tunnel entrance and you knew sothing was off…
Because all the other passages sloped upwards to connect to the warehouses. But this tunnel entrance was sloping downwards…
An abnormal, yet clearly well-used passage…
“Let’s go down and have a look.” Ling Mo made the decision without hesitation.
“Hey, hey. I’m saying, shouldn’t you at least think a little more about obviously dangerous places like this…” Mu Chen grumbled, but seeing everyone else enter the tunnel, he imdiately hunched his neck, glanced around suspiciously, and hurried in after them.
Yet, just before entering, Mu Chen had a strange feeling.
In the darkness, it was as if sothing shot him a glance. But as his heart skipped a beat and he tried to look closely, there was nothing there…
“A Spider?” Mu Chen frowned, thinking.
The downward passage was indeed hard to walk, and the further they went, the steeper it beca. Considering this place was dug by a Spider, no one was in the mood to complain; they simply tried to keep their balance and move downward as quickly as possible.
Ye Lian and the others, however, were completely unaffected, and as they moved, the distance between them and Ling Mo’s group grew wider and wider…
Ling Mo simply switched his vision over, and while using the Red Glimr to easily observe the surroundings, he’d occasionally “glance down” at his own collar, and sotis focus on soone else’s collar…
“Why do I feel like Xia Na peeks at Ye Lian and Senior Sister even more often than I do… Wait, she’s even peeking at that fool Yu Shiran? Although, to be fair, that fool’s chest has evolved to an age-defyingly impressive size, but what’s with this shaless peeping… What are you after, really…”

“Human? Zombie? Or Spider Man? Hellforged Monster?” Li Yalin rattled off four possibilities in one breath, then looked at Ling Mo expectantly.
Ling Mo reached out and patted her head, then crouched down for a closer look and said, “I don’t think it’s any of those. In fact, we’ve seen sothing like this before…”
