“But you should have noticed by now… My target this ti is actually just you. Although her appearance was unexpected… do you really think you can walk out of this room alive?” The other party sneered coldly, murderous intent surging.
Ling Mo glanced around the room… The real door was never in a place he could see at a glance, so it was obviously even harder to find. If he really tried to grope around, he’d probably fall right into the other’s trap.
The best thing to do now was to stay alert and remain where he was…
“What’s wrong? Too scared to move? Well, if I were you…”
“You’re the master of ceremonies from earlier, right? The one who pretended to be a corpse for roleplay, killed a bunch of Zombies to have them attend your wedding with you?” Ling Mo interrupted him again.
The man was stunned for a mont, then couldn’t hold back and shouted, “What kind of comntary is that! Don’t make it sound like I’m so pathetic!”
“So you really are that master of ceremonies?” Ling Mo took the piece of fabric Ye Lian was holding, shook it, and said.
“…You’re trying to trick !” The man imdiately reacted.
“Not really, I just can’t be completely sure.” Ling Mo answered honestly, “This fabric doesn’t even show its original color anymore, do you really think I could recognize you just from this? But you can hide your presence, and you’re wearing such disgusting clothes, so you’re most likely that missing master of ceremonies who could only host a corpse wedding, standing all alone on the stage…”
“So why do you have to add that comntary…” The guy snorted angrily, then said, “Can you stop calling master of ceremonies over and over? I know who you are, so before you die, you should know who I am too… My na is Mantis.”
“Corpse master of ceremonies is already pretty pitiful… I didn’t expect the main body isn’t even human.” Ling Mo muttered under his breath.
“I heard that!” Mantis said angrily, but soon he sneered again, his voice drifting unpredictably. “You’re trying to interfere with , aren’t you? Not bad, worthy of being a strong, battle-hardened Survivor… You just walked the line between life and death, and you’re already using these little tricks…”
“Tch…” Ling Mo curled his lips… This guy isn’t stupid!
But thinking about it, to be able to set up so many traps in just one day, with such unpredictable arrangents and such clean, decisive thods… all of this showed that the opponent was a ruthless and experienced Survivor.
And his Superpower… was extrely special too…
Both Ye Lian and he had stared at that master of ceremonies before. But at the ti, they hadn’t realized he was actually alive!
Even after the other admitted it himself, Ling Mo still found it unbelievable.
But not understanding was one thing; staying calm was another…
So at this mont, Ling Mo still wore a calm expression, even speaking in a casual, chatty tone: “With such a striking image, I suppose in your Camp…”
“Heh…” The other laughed and said, “Switching tactics to try and win over now?”
“You must be soone everyone tries to avoid.” Ling Mo continued.
“You actually finished your own sentence!” Mantis was speechless… When he interrupted the other, he didn’t get any payback at all! Instead, he was cleanly and completely ignored!
The most infuriating thing was… the other party had no intention of winning him over at all! This was blatant mockery!
And he… got slapped in the face twice in an instant…
Clap clap clap! Both cheeks hurt!
“Fine… I admit you’re really good at pissing people off…” Mantis couldn’t hold it in anymore.
Looking at Ling Mo’s posture, he seed ready to just sit down with that cup of tea and keep mocking him over and over.
And just as he thought that, Ling Mo really did bring the teacup to his nose for a sniff, then, without warning, hurled it straight at the wall: “If you have ti to make tea, you have ti to wash your face!”
“Damn it!”
Mantis was going crazy… Was this guy thinking that even if he couldn’t hit him, splashing him would be good enough?
And this style of taunting… this guy was really relentless!
“Whoosh!” A figure finally appeared, this ti darting in from Ling Mo’s side.
But Ling Mo was clearly prepared… He chuckled, then dodged aside with Ye Lian.
With the Host Body’s help, his physical reaction speed had clearly improved a lot. And with faster, stronger Tentacles, his movents beca even more agile.
No matter how fast Mantis attacked, with Ye Lian ready to counter, it was hard for him to get close to Ling Mo a second ti.
So after missing, he retreated back into the darkness, then waited for another chance to pounce.
After several attempts, he missed every ti, while Ling Mo kept taunting, “Co on, co on!”
Now Mantis felt sothing was wrong…
Panting slightly, he roared, “All you do is dodge, you bastard!”
Just provoking and not fighting, and still so righteous about it! And this kind of guy even had such a pretty girl with him!
There’s no justice!
And… is it really okay for a ntal ability superhuman to be this agile!
“So you plan to just drag this out, huh!” the mantis said. “You’ll slip up eventually.”
Psychological warfare-overthinking only makes real mistakes more likely.
“Aren’t you the sa?” Ling Mo snorted disdainfully, then said smugly, “Besides, I’ve got two people on my side.”
“Damn it!” The mantis was driven mad again.
You know it’s two against one! Then show so backbone and fight back properly!
But Ling Mo wasn’t wrong. With two on his side, he could definitely outlast the mantis… And the most troubleso thing was, for so reason, he seed to be getting more experienced at dodging…
Even so… if one side defends for too long, a flaw is bound to appear. Plus, the mantis was only targeting him, which made it even more likely…
The mantis took a deep breath, feeling like he was starting to grasp Ling Mo’s dodging style…
Next, as long as he burst out with everything, found an opening and landed a hit, he could finish off this guy with a big reputation but an annoying personality…
But what the mantis didn’t notice was… Ling Mo was showing a faint smile at that mont…
“Whoosh!”
The mantis charged out again, but this ti, just as he slipped into the darkness, a series of muffled thuds rang out.
A muffled groan ca from several ters above and to the side of where the mantis vanished, followed by a few drops of fresh blood dripping down.
“Swish!”
Ye Lian leaped up, and after a burst of fierce noise, a figure was thrown down with a heavy thud, crashing hard onto the ground.
Just as he tried to move, a Tentacle had already pinned his palm to the floor, and at the sa ti, Ling Mo stomped on his wrist.
“I’d advise you not to move.” Ling Mo’s voice sounded rather leisurely now.
The mantis tried to resist, but Ye Lian’s figure appeared beside him, and with a single step, she pinned down his other hand.
“Ah!” The mantis let out a miserable scream.
Unlike Ling Mo, Ye Lian’s light step instantly ruined his hand.
A comminuted fracture-the sound alone was enough to make anyone wince…
Ye Lian’s lips curled up slightly because of it, but neither the mantis nor Ling Mo noticed.
“I was wondering… you’re so agile…” Ling Mo sized him up, then fixed his gaze on the mantis’s palm. “These are Zombie nails, right… They’re so long.”
This mantis really was like a mantis… Ten fingernails like ten Broadswords. You rarely see that on a human…
As for the mantis’s body… it was unmistakably like a corpse.
His eyes had returned to normal, but the yellowish whites were still rather creepy.
For soone to turn himself into this… it wasn’t easy.
“You should understand your situation now, right?” Ling Mo asked again.
The mantis twitched in pain, rolled his eyes at Ling Mo, and gritted his teeth, asking, “How did you…”
“Want to ask how I knew where you were?” Ling Mo interrupted him again.
This ti, the mantis didn’t even have the strength to be angry. He bit his pale lips and nodded, “That’s right! You wouldn’t waste your energy just to try your luck…”
After so many evasions without counterattacking, Ling Mo’s reason was clear to the mantis.
Both sides knew he wouldn’t just stay put, and even if Ling Mo swept past, he might not hit him.
If it didn’t work the first ti, it would be even less effective the second.
But Ling Mo didn’t strike until he was sure, and when he did, he took him down… His teamwork with Ye Lian was so seamless, the mantis had no chance to struggle and was instantly defeated.
“I don’t want to die without knowing why!” the mantis roared.
“Is that so…” Ling Mo stared at him with a smile.
But the mantis felt a little guilty under Ling Mo’s gaze… He braced himself and said, “Yes! Otherwise… no matter what you ask, I won’t tell you!”
“Alright then,” Ling Mo said, glancing at a wound on the mantis’s shoulder, “What if I told you it was the sll of blood-would you believe ?”
“The sll of blood?” The mantis was stunned.
Speaking of blood… the wound’s blood hadn’t even started dripping yet. But after repeated attacks, the wound had definitely gotten bigger…
But the sll of blood… wasn’t the whole room filled with it?
To pick out a moving scent in such a strong odor-how was that possible…
“Impossible!” the mantis shook his head.
“Nothing’s impossible,” Ling Mo replied.
Just then, the mantis saw Ye Lian’s eyes.
Her eyes first turned blood-red, then her pupils contracted and spun like a Kaleidoscope.
“You…”
The mantis’s face changed dramatically, his mouth gaping wide…
He was utterly shocked…
There was actually a real Senior Zombie here!
