Now reading: Chapter 1243: Garage Battle: The Game Begins Here from My Girlfriend is a Zombie, a Romance novel by Dark Litchi.

Ling Mo’s plan was also made based on speculation and analysis, and couldn’t guarantee a one hundred percent success rate. But at a ti like this, there was no better way. Hold the line and fight head-on? Everyone knew that was the worst possible option. Not to ntion, the other side had only lost two people so far… Just from the fact that they could casually pull out a Grenade, it was clear their equipnt was far superior. Although Ling Mo’s group hadn’t completely run out of ammo and supplies… they were close enough… However, as long as the two sides didn’t et directly, the difference in equipnt wouldn’t be so obvious.

Because of transportation limitations… there was no way the other side had lugged a Rocket Launcher all the way here, right? Picking high-combat-power superhumans was much more portable… Besides, from the current situation, the enemy’s environnt-altering superhuman wasn’t all-powerful either. He probably could only provide his teammates with Ling Mo’s group’s general location, not pinpoint accuracy. Otherwise, the Sniper would have been in position as soon as Ling Mo’s group entered.

But the other side had no choice… If they didn’t use this Superpower, Ling Mo’s group would have crept along the buildings, never giving them a chance. If Ling Mo’s group kept maneuvering around the whole town, their chances of winning would plumt.

But even though the enemy had so many shortcomings… Ling Mo’s Miracle Squad was in even worse shape. At this point, everyone could still jump and run, sure… but they’d already spent a lot of energy in the granary. Then Mu Chen got injured, and their combat power dropped sharply… So it was obvious why the enemy had followed them here and was waiting…

“So cunning…” Everyone cursed inwardly.

“Search over here.”

At the side and rear of the Hotel, at the sloped lane leading to the underground garage. A squad of figures erged from behind a flowerbed overgrown with weeds.

The leader stepped over a Zombie corpse lying at his feet, then unhesitatingly stepped into a pool of still-wet blood.

“Splatter!” A few sticky drops of blood flew out.

“Be careful.” He spoke to the people behind him without turning his head.

Not far away was an empty toll booth, and farther away was the garage entrance, like a gaping black hole.

In front of the toll booth was a sedan, already unrecognizable, and inside the booth, shattered glass, a wall streaked with dark brown blood, and scraps of clothing hanging from the shards.

The scene from the past was still vivid… That unlucky toll collector had probably just reached out his hand when a mutated driver suddenly dragged him out. Then, between the car window and the toll booth, he was torn to pieces.

Collecting tolls was just too risky…

So after noticing this, the leader imdiately focused his gaze on the garage entrance.

Would the target appear here?

“Hey? Any findings inside the Hotel?” The leader took out his Communicator and asked in a low voice.

A response quickly ca: “Nothing for now. We just found the mantis’s corpse.”

“Did you check the fire escape?”

“Checked, nothing at the door.” The other side quickly replied.

The Team mbers behind him visibly relaxed a bit… So it was just a routine search.

They hadn’t entered this place before… Although the Zombies had been dealt with, they used a more direct thod-kill a Zombie and hang it on a utility pole, then all the hidden Zombies on the street would co out. As long as there weren’t any real Senior Zombies among them… Of course, ordinary people wouldn’t do this… It had pros and cons, but the risk was huge…

“All right.” The leader still held the Communicator and instructed the Team mbers, “Don’t let your guard down.”

They slowly approached the garage… But just as they passed the toll booth, the last person suddenly heard a faint sound.

As he imdiately turned around, the people in front also heard the disturbance and turned as well.

The whole group was on high alert…

There was no movent inside the toll booth… but the door was swaying slightly back and forth.

The mber who heard the noise, under everyone’s gaze, carefully approached with his gun raised, then quickly pushed the door open from the side.

“Whoosh!”

The mont the door opened, he jumped to the doorway, aiming his gun inside.

No one… only a fallen chair and a ss all over the floor…

A false alarm… The group turned expressionlessly back to the garage. When a city falls completely silent, any little sound is magnified. They were used to this by now…

Even the leader didn’t notice anything… just a trivial incident.

The mber who ca to check was the sa… But just as he turned around, a figure quietly appeared at the doorway.

It was the very figure he had just pointed his gun at…

Bang!

A figure lunged at him, just as his nerves relaxed for a mont. His whole body instantly froze.

His eyes widened, mouth agape, but not a sound ca out. If anyone looked back at him now, they’d see his limbs entwined, the figure’s hands-like black mist-clutching his throat.

At the sa ti, a faint silver gleam flashed silently by the base of the wall. Imdiately after, a silver thread slowly raised its head, like a viper aiming at him.

“Guh… guh…” The mber struggled silently, terror and shock etched on his face.

But after a brief pause in the air, the silver thread suddenly shot toward him…

“Hm?” A second later, the Alpha turned his head, sensing sothing.

As he turned, he saw that mber catching up.

“You alright?” the Alpha asked, frowning.

The mber shook his head with eyes lowered, saying nothing.

“Keep up,” the Alpha ordered.

The group bent down, hugging the wall as they slipped into the garage. The mont they entered, that mber lifted his head slightly.

His eyes were bloodshot, facial muscles twitching involuntarily, and at his neck, a small hole showing signs of decay had appeared…

“Stay alert.” The group cautiously checked along the lane.

“Over here…” Suddenly, a mber turned into another path.

“What did you find?” the Alpha imdiately called back, but got no response. Instead, that mber’s figure quickly vanished from the Flashlight’s beam.

He frowned and said, “You two, go check it out.”

But as the two went after him, the Alpha suddenly had a gut feeling…

It was this person who’d been at the back before…

“Go!” he urged.

He hadn’t run far before spotting a pool of blood by a car. Circling to the back, he found two corpses on the ground…

“Damn it!” the Alpha cursed under his breath. Just then, he caught a glimpse of a shadow at his feet.

Bang! Bang!

He spun around and fired two shots without hesitation.

“Guh guh guh…”

That mber stared at him with blood-red eyes, two blood holes in his chest.

“What the…” The Alpha was shocked… but kept his cool. Never mind how the other side did it… The point was, the enemy was indeed here!

As the corpse fell, he almost imdiately grabbed his Communicator.

From the Communicator ca, “You fired over there, what’s going on?”

“Not sure, but I need-“

Bang!

He fired again, but this ti it was completely unexpected.

After a split second of confusion, his eyes widened, but his Arm was already moving against his will, finger squeezing the trigger…

And the muzzle was aid right at one of the other mbers who’d followed him.

“What happened?” The man had just asked when a blood hole appeared in his forehead.

His mouth was still open, a look of confusion lingering in his eyes as he collapsed.

The others, shocked, instinctively turned their guns on the Alpha.

“No…” the Alpha gritted out.

His Arm was still moving slowly… This scene made the next mber about to be targeted tense up instantly.

“Don’t shoot…”

Before the Alpha could finish, the man had already pulled the trigger. But at that very mont, the Alpha’s Arm suddenly swelled, and with a roar, he leapt backward.

Rat-tat-tat…

A string of bullet holes appeared on the ground and the vehicles. After firing, the mber’s face still showed disbelief.

“What the hell is…”

He had just turned to his companion when his expression froze again.

His companion’s face was stiff, body trembling uncontrollably…

A beautiful, almost mixed-blood face peeked out from behind his head, and at the sa ti, a cold gleam swept from the back of his neck to the front.

As a line of blood slowly seeped out, the pretty girl greeted him with a bloody smile.

“Hello there…”

“You…” The mber froze, then imdiately raised his gun.

But just then, he heard a crisp girl’s voice behind him as well.

“She’s talking to , you know…”

“Ah!”

“Hah…”

The Alpha hid behind a car, reaching for his waist, then looked at his blood-covered hand with a flash of anger.

But just as he was about to shout, he heard a short, sharp scream, followed by a thud.

The Alpha’s heart lurched, and he grabbed his Communicator: “Support-“

Bang!

The Communicator exploded instantly…

The Alpha whipped his head around, just in ti to see a figure squatting above him, grinning down…
