My Goblin System : Levelling up with my SSS Class Devouring skill Chapter 157
She walked to the altar, her hand trailing across the dark stone. "I’ve built everything from this foundation. Created a place where those who don’t fit can find acceptance. Where pleasure isn’t shaful. Where won can be powerful without apology. It’s not perfect—we have cri, we have problems, we have our own darkness. But it’s ours. Built by us, for us."
She turned to face Satou, her mismatched eyes intense. "If The Reaper destroys this, it’s not just buildings that fall. It’s hope. It’s proof that alternative ways of living can work. It’s everything I’ve spent three centuries building."
"He won’t destroy it," Satou said firmly. "We’ll stop him."
"You say that with such confidence," Seraphine observed. "Even though you know the odds."
"Because the alternative is unacceptable," Satou replied. "Sotis that’s enough reason to fight."
Seraphine studied him for a long mont. Then, unexpectedly, she smiled—a genuine expression, not her usual sultry mask.
"I understand now why Loki sent to you. Why those two won love you enough to let you leave on a suicide mission. You actually believe the things you say. You actually an it when you promise to help. That’s... rare. Especially in demon lord circles."
She stepped closer, her hand reaching up to touch his cheek gently. "If we survive this, if you sohow manage to kill The Reaper and save the Fallen Spires, I will owe you a debt beyond asure. And unlike many demon lords, I pay my debts."
"I’m not doing this for a debt," Satou said.
"I know," Seraphine replied. "Which is exactly why you’ll have one. Now co on. We have seven days to prepare, and I need to show you the rest of the city. If you’re going to fight here, you need to know every advantage the terrain offers."
They left the chapel, and Seraphine began the comprehensive tour that would take the rest of the night.
As they walked through the Fallen Spires, Satou couldn’t help but notice how the residents looked at Seraphine. Not with fear or subjugation, but with genuine respect and even affection. They called out greetings. They bowed not from compulsion but from choice. They thanked her for various things—protection, opportunities, justice.
This was what Satou was fighting to protect. Not just buildings or territory, but a community. People who’d found a place to belong in a world that rejected them.
It was worth fighting for.
Even if the odds were impossible.
Even if he might die trying.
Seven days.
Seven days to prepare to face the strongest hero the human kingdoms had ever produced.
Seven days to figure out how to kill soone who’d survived everything that had been thrown at him for fifty years.
Seven days until The Reaper arrived at the Fallen Spires.
And then they would see if a Reality-Class weapon wielded by a three-month-old demon lord could accomplish what centuries of demon lord power had failed to achieve.
They would see if idealism and determination could overco the impossible.
They would see if Satou’s promise to return ho to the won he loved was sothing he could actually keep.
Seven days.
The countdown had begun.

[ Reaper Origin Story]
The summoning circle blazed with holy light so bright it hurt to look at directly. Priests chanted in ancient tongues, their voices harmonizing with magical resonance that made the very air vibrate. The temple’s marble floors cracked from the sheer power being channeled through them.
Then, in a flash of golden radiance that temporarily blinded everyone present, he appeared.
A young man, maybe twenty years old, wearing strange clothing—jeans, a t-shirt with so incomprehensible text, sneakers that looked nothing like any footwear in this world. He stood in the center of the circle, looking around in complete confusion.
"What the hell?" he said in a language none of them understood. Then the translation magic woven into the summoning activated, and his words beca comprehensible. "Where am I? What just happened?"
"Welco, hero!" the High Priest proclaid, dropping to one knee. "You have been summoned by the Goddess Lumina to save our world from the demon lords who threaten all civilization!"
The young man,who would eventually be called The Reaper, though he didn’t have that na yet—just stared. "Hero? Summoned? What are you talking about? I was just walking ho from work and then there was this light and—"
He stopped, noticing the dozens of priests all kneeling around him, the massive temple architecture that looked like sothing from a fantasy ga, the way reality itself seed different here.
"Oh no," he breathed. "No no no. This is... this is one of those isekai situations, isn’t it? I got summoned to another world. This is actually happening."
"The Goddess has blessed you with power beyond mortal ken," the High Priest continued, either not noticing or not caring about the hero’s distress. "You are our champion, our salvation, our—"
"Okay, stop," the hero interrupted, holding up his hand. "Just... stop for a second. Let think."
He stood there in the summoning circle, processing. He’d read enough manga, watched enough ani to recognize this trope. Ordinary person summoned to fantasy world to fight evil. Usually got overpowered abilities. Usually ended up saving the world while building a harem.
"Alright," he said finally. "So I’m here. Can’t exactly go back, I’m guessing?"
"The summoning is one-way," the High Priest confird. "You are bound to this world now, hero. Your destiny is—"
"Yeah, yeah, destiny to save the world, got it." The hero sighed. "Fine. What’s my na here? Do I keep my old na or do I get a cool fantasy one?"
"The Goddess has granted you the title of Advent," the High Priest said. "The one who arrives. The one who—"
"Advent," the hero repeated. "Okay, that’s actually pretty cool. Better than my real na anyway. And you said I have powers? What kind?"
"The Goddess has blessed you with Absolute Adaptation," the High Priest explained. "You will be immune to all harm, capable of overcoming any challenge, undefeatable by any foe."
"Absolute Adaptation," Advent repeated slowly. "That sounds... really overpowered. Like, stupidly overpowered. How does it work?"
