My Goblin System : Levelling up with my SSS Class Devouring skill Chapter 482
Too slow.
The tentacles hit him from every angle simultaneously. Each impact carried force asured in gatons. Each strike enhanced by reality-warping power that made physical laws suggestions rather than rules.
Satou’s body was battered from a hundred different directions at once. His Enhanced Durability and Natural Armor prevented instant death, but couldn’t eliminate the catastrophic damage.
Bones broke. Scales shattered. Organs ruptured. Blood sprayed from dozens of wounds.
He was launched skyward by the collective impacts, his body tumbling through the air like a broken doll, trailing blood and fragnts of scale.
[REGENERATION - LEGENDARY OVERDRIVE]
His healing activated automatically, burning through massive mana reserves to seal the worst damage, but there was too much trauma to repair instantly.
Satou hit the ground three hundred feet away, the impact creating another crater, his body broken but healing, his Overdrive state keeping him conscious through damage that would have killed him a dozen tis over without enhancent.
He forced himself to stand, blood streaming from multiple wounds, his crimson aura flickering as mana drain began affecting his power output.
Khar’razoth’s lion-skull head tilted in what might have been amusent.
"YOU ARE STRONG FOR A MORTAL. BUT STRENGTH ALONE IS INSUFFICIENT. I AM HUNGER INCARNATE. I AM CONSUMPTION MADE DIVINE. YOUR POWER ONLY MAKES YOU A MORE SATISFYING AL."
The Ancient God began walking toward Satou, each footstep causing earthquakes, its massive form casting shadows that turned day into night.
And Satou, his body still healing from the last exchange, prepared for the next round.
I can’t beat this thing in direct combat. Not at Overdrive Version One. I need more power. Need to push further.
But Version Two will hurt even worse. Will drain even faster. Will push my body even closer to permanent damage.
He looked back toward the settlent, toward where everyone he loved waited and watched and hoped.
Worth it. They’re worth any price.
Satou drew in a deep breath, tasting blood, and prepared to break his limiters even further.
But first, he had to survive long enough to activate the next level.
—---------------------
The battle beca a desperate ga of survival.
Khar’razoth attacked with overwhelming force and impossible variety. Tentacles lashed out in patterns that couldn’t be fully dodged. Reality-warping abilities made space itself unreliable. The Ancient God’s sheer size and power ant every hit that connected dealt catastrophic damage.
But Satou’s Overdrive regeneration ant catastrophic damage wasn’t instantly fatal.
He took hits that would have killed demon lords. Tentacles crushed his body. Reality distortions tore at his flesh. Ancient divine power burned through his scales.
And every ti, his Legendary Regeneration operating at Overdrive capacity healed him before the next attack arrived.
He dodged when he could. Blocked when dodging was impossible. Took hits when blocking failed. Regenerated when hits landed.
A brutal cycle of damage and recovery, each exchange burning through his stamina and mana at terrifying rates.
Hour Two:
A tentacle wrapped around Satou’s torso and squeezed. His ribs shattered. His spine cracked. Blood exploded from his mouth.
Khar’razoth lifted him two hundred feet into the air and slamd him into the ground with force that created a crater visible from miles away.
Satou’s body should have been pulp. Instead, his Regeneration activated mid-impact, healing as fast as damage occurred, keeping him alive through trauma that violated every natural law.
He pulled himself from the crater, bones already reford, and imdiately had to dodge the next tentacle strike.
Hour Three:
Khar’razoth opened its massive lion-skull jaw and unleashed a breath weapon—not fire, not energy, but pure entropy. Decay made manifest. Existence-erosion that aged whatever it touched by centuries in seconds.
The beam caught Satou as he tried to dodge, the entropy washing over his left arm.
He watched his scales turn gray, then white, then crumble to dust. Watched flesh wither and bone beco brittle. His entire left arm aged a thousand years in three seconds.
[REGENERATION - LEGENDARY]
His healing didn’t restore what was destroyed—it regrew it. The withered arm fell off and a new one began forming from the stump, flesh and bone and scale reconstructing from nothing in a process that burned through a tenth of his remaining mana.
Twenty seconds to regrow a complete arm.
Hour Four:
A hundred tentacles struck simultaneously from every direction, creating an inescapable cage of flesh and force.
Satou activated [VOID FANG] and [ABSOLUTE SEVERANCE], his claws glowing with existence-erasing darkness as he carved through the tentacles with desperate speed.
He severed fifty appendages in three seconds, each one dissolving into non-existence where his Void Fang touched—
But Khar’razoth’s regeneration was instantaneous. For every tentacle Satou erased, two more grew from the stumps. The Ancient God’s ability to recover from damage operated on scales that made even Satou’s Legendary healing look slow.
The remaining fifty tentacles hit him from angles he couldn’t defend against, each impact breaking bones and tearing flesh.
Hour Five:
Satou tried using his divine abilities, the powers absorbed from Valentine and the Angel of War.
[DIVINE SANCTUARY - GRAND MASTER]
The three-hundred-yard forcefield manifested, designed to suppress demonic and monstrous power to ten percent capacity.
It hit Khar’razoth and... did nothing.
The Ancient God wasn’t demon-type. Wasn’t monster-type. Was sothing that existed before those categories were defined. The sanctuary’s suppression effect simply didn’t apply.
Khar’razoth’s laughter echoed across the battlefield.
"DID YOU THINK YOUR MORTAL MAGIC COULD AFFECT A GOD? HOW AMUSING."
A wave of tentacles battered through the sanctuary like it wasn’t there, forcing Satou to release the useless ability and focus on evasion.
Hour Six:
Satou’s stamina had dropped to sixty percent. His mana reserves were down to fifty-five percent. His body showed accumulated damage despite constant regeneration—small scars where healing hadn’t been perfect, microfractures in bones that hadn’t fully sealed, scales that hadn’t quite reford correctly.
The Overdrive was burning him out. Slowly but inevitably.
And Khar’razoth showed no signs of fatigue. No indication of slowing. The Ancient God fought with the sa overwhelming power and speed as when the battle began.
