My Goblin System : Levelling up with my SSS Class Devouring skill Chapter 495
Both combatants, too damaged for pure physical assault, turned to ntal attacks:
Satou attacked Khar’razoth’s fragnted consciousness directly, ntal assault that targeted the junction where Elric’s human psyche interfaced with Ancient God awareness.
Found the seam. Found the weak point. Found where mortal mind and divine consciousness t.
And tore.
Elric’s consciousness, which had been subsud by Khar’razoth, suddenly experienced mont of separation—human awareness briefly distinct from god awareness, able to perceive what he’d beco, what he’d done, what he’d sacrificed.
"What... what have I done?" Elric’s human voice erged briefly, horror and revulsion coloring words. "I killed them. Four hundred twenty of my own soldiers. Twenty settlent defenders. Sacrificed them to—"
"SILENCE!" Khar’razoth’s divine consciousness crushed the human awareness back down, forced reintegration, but damage was done.
The mont of internal conflict had created hesitation. Fractional second where Ancient God wasn’t fully committed to attack.
Satou exploited it ruthlessly.
[KHAR’RAZOTH’S TERROR MANIFESTATION:]
The Ancient God countered with psychological assault of its own, manifesting Satou’s deepest fears:
Vision of settlent consud. Everyone he loved dead. Lyra’s golden eyes empty. Jessica’s healing hands still. Kelvin’s growth aningless. Seraphina’s sacrifice wasted. Every defender’s trust betrayed.
Vision of himself as monster—Devouring ability consuming everyone, unable to stop, forced to eat those he loved to survive, their final words asking why he’d betrayed them.
Vision of futility—even if he won here, sothing worse would co, sothing he couldn’t beat, and this sacrifice would be aningless, just delaying inevitable.
The psychological assault was devastating, targeted precisely at Satou’s core motivations, designed to break will that had sustained him through impossible odds.
But Satou had Mind Fortress - Absolute. Had ntal Fortitude - Legendary. Had willpower forged through five years of building sothing worth protecting.
The fears manifested. He saw them. Felt them.
And rejected them.
"Nice try," he spoke through blood bubbling from continuously-reconstructing mouth. "But I’ve lived with fear of failing them for five years. Fear doesn’t control anymore. Love does."
He smiled—that horrible, blood-covered, genuine expression.
"And love is stronger than fear."
Both combatants, damaged beyond anything that should be survivable, made one final exchange before Satou’s ti limit forced transition to Day Two:
They charged simultaneously, moving at maximum speed, closing across half a mile in microseconds.
t in the center with collision that generated shockwave visible from space—displaced air creating visible compression ring that propagated outward at supersonic speeds, sonic boom audible for two hundred miles.
Satou’s claws, coated in every offensive ability he possessed, drove toward Khar’razoth’s humanoid chest.
Khar’razoth’s six arms, each ending in reality-cutting claws, swept toward Satou’s dissolving-and-reforming body.
They hit simultaneously.
Satou’s oct-layered assault punched through Khar’razoth’s compressed form, claws driving into divine flesh, tearing through to erge from the Ancient God’s back.
Khar’razoth’s six-ard strike hit Satou from multiple angles, claws carving through scales and flesh and crystalline bone, opening wounds across his torso that exposed internal organs.
Both staggered backward, both critically wounded.
Satou’s chest was open—ribs visible, organs exposed, blood fountaining from arterial damage that should have been instantly fatal.
His Regeneration activated, but slowly this ti—healing resources nearly exhausted, regeneration itself dying, wounds closing at rates asurable in seconds rather than microseconds.
Khar’razoth’s torso showed hole where Satou’s claws had punched through—not bleeding (gods didn’t have normal blood), but leaking divine essence, power flowing out like water through broken dam.
The Ancient God’s regeneration tried to seal the hole, but the oct-layered damage was too complex—existence erasure connection severing divine disruption temporal aging dinsional displacent conceptual deletion holy purification draconic dominance all stacked in ways that prevented healing.
They separated, creating hundred feet of distance, both barely standing.
[HOUR EIGHTEEN CONCLUSION - TRANSITION TO DAY TWO:]
[SATOU STATUS:]
Final Overdrive Ti: EXCEEDED LIMIT (was 15 minutes maximum, has been active for 18 minutes)Should Be: DEAD (exceeded every theoretical limit)Actually Is: STILL FIGHTING (Survivor’s Will absolute determination preventing shutdown)Resources: ALL NEGATIVE (operating on pure willpower past all depletion)
But he was still standing. Still conscious. Still fighting.
Because giving up ant everyone died. And that was unacceptable.
Khar’razoth recognized the impossibility:
"YOU SHOULD BE DEAD. YOUR TRANSFORMATION EXCEEDED ITS TI LIMIT MINUTES AGO. YOUR RESOURCES ARE EXHAUSTED PAST RECOVERY. YOUR BODY IS FAILING IN REAL-TI."
"YET YOU STAND. YET YOU FIGHT. YET YOU REFUSE TO FALL."
The Ancient God’s voice carried sothing between respect and horror:
"WHAT ARE YOU?"
Satou’s response was simple:
"Soone who loves his family more than he loves living."
They charged again.
And Day Two began.
—----------------
Day Two began not with renewed energy, but with both combatants operating far past what should be survivable.
Satou’s Final Overdrive had exceeded its fifteen-minute maximum by over three minutes. His body should have shut down completely. His consciousness should have fragnted beyond recovery. His existence should have simply... ended.
Instead, he fought on—held together by Survivor’s Will that refused to accept death, by Legendary Regeneration that wouldn’t stop healing despite negative resources, by sheer determination that transcended biological limits.
[DAY TWO]
Both combatants, too damaged for pure physical combat, turned to reality manipulation:
[SATOU’S ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE DOMINION - MAXIMUM OUTPUT]
He manifested his nightmare realm across the entire battlefield—twenty miles of reality warped into dream-logic, every rule negotiable, every impossibility possible.
The sky beca canvas of watching eyes, each one judging both combatants, creating psychological pressure that affected even Ancient Gods.
The ground beca obsidian mirrors showing not reflections but possibilities—branching futures, alternate outcos, roads not taken, each reflection attempting to lure viewers into "what could be" rather than "what is."
The air thickened into substance between gas and liquid, movent paradoxically easier in so directions and harder in others based on emotional resonance with the nightmare realm.
[KHAR’RAZOTH’S DIVINE REALITY IMPOSITION]
The Ancient God countered by imposing its own reality over Satou’s nightmare:
Zones where divine hunger was absolute truth, where consumption was inevitable law, where resistance was impossible concept.
Spaces where Khar’razoth’s nature as God of Endless Hunger beca fundantal rule rather than just power, making the Ancient God invulnerable within those zones because gods of hunger cannot starve.
The two realities—nightmare-logic versus divine-hunger—collided and rged, creating impossible hybrid where both sets of rules applied simultaneously:
