"..."

Mark didn’t respond right away, his gaze dropped slowly to the floor as he processed everything he had just heard.

It wasn’t that he was against it, or that it seed crazy to him, or that he hadn’t thought about it before in so distant corner of his mind.

It was more that until that mont, everything he had done with them had been without consequences.

And he knew it.

Every ti he had been with Ely, with Aria, or with both of them, there had always existed in the back of his mind that comfortable certainty that nothing would happen, because they were all undead, and undead can’t reproduce.

The only exceptions had been two.

The first was Rose, that ti when he had just t her and she tried to seduce him in order to kill him by draining his blood.

And the second was Cali.

But with Cali he hadn’t worried either, because she was a succubus. That’s literally what succubi do, and Mark had simply assud that the biology between species would do its job and there would be no unexpected results.

But now it was different.

Now they were asking him directly.

’Alright, Mark, think,’ he told himself. ’If you’re being completely honest with yourself... do you have any real objection to what they’re asking?’

He thought about it for a couple of seconds.

’No... I don’t.’

And it was true.

If anything, all he felt was a mild surprise at how organized they had been about it, because being honest, he had expected sothing like this to co up eventually, he just never thought it would be so soon.

’Besides,’ Mark thought, ’a good Master is supposed to make his subordinates happy, right? And if this is what they want, who am I to deny them?’

Mark raised his gaze from the floor.

Ely was still standing in front of him, arms crossed, with that expression of determination that hadn’t changed a milliter since the conversation began.

But behind that firmness, Mark could see sothing else in her blue eyes, sothing that looked a lot like the anxiety of soone waiting for an answer that matters too much.

Aria was at her side, still, with her hands clasped in front of her chest and her eyes fixed on him.

And Cali, against the door, her face still red, her golden eyes looking at the floor but lifting them toward Mark every now and then to see if he had made a decision yet.

Mark let out a sigh and a smile ford on his lips.

"I agree."

"...Really?" Ely said, and for the first ti since the conversation began her voice lost the firmness she had maintained throughout her entire speech.

"Really," Mark confird, nodding. "And don’t worry, I’ll do everything I can to make you human again as soon as possible."

Then Ely’s expression broke, and what remained was the face of a woman who had just heard exactly what she needed to hear.

"Master!" Ely said in a voice that cracked halfway through the word as she launched herself at him.

Her arms wrapped around him firmly, pressing him against her as she buried her face in his shoulder.

"Thank you..." Ely murmured against his shoulder in a voice so low it barely carried. "Thank you so much, Master."

Mark raised a hand and rested it on Ely’s back.

But he didn’t have ti to say anything because a second impact ca from the left.

Aria launched herself onto the two of them, clinging to Mark’s side with enough force that she almost knocked him off the bed.

"Masterrr!" Aria said with her eyes already completely wet, because of course she was crying. "I knew you’d say yes! I knew it!"

"You knew?"

"Well, I was hoping!"

"That’s not the sa thing, Aria."

"It doesn’t matter!"

Mark found himself trapped between the two, Ely clinging to his right shoulder and Aria hanging off his left side, both squeezing him with a force that made clear they weren’t letting go anyti soon.

And while he was there being crushed from both sides, a thought crossed his mind.

’It’s not like Cali is going to get pregnant on the first try,’ Mark thought calmly.

Mark glanced discreetly toward Cali, who was still by the door watching the scene with an expression that mixed embarrassnt with sothing that looked a lot like happiness.

’So there’s really not that much to worry about right now...’

Mark was about to open his mouth to say sothing about the important news he had to tell them when Ely pulled away from his shoulder and looked at him with an expression that had changed entirely.

The emotion was still there, but now there was sothing else.

Sothing Mark knew all too well.

"Well... we’d better get started," Ely said with a smile.

"Huh?"

Then she began unbuttoning the top of her clothes with quick movents.

"Ely, wait," Mark said, raising a hand. "Now?"

"Why not?" Aria replied, letting go of his side and standing up with a smile identical to Ely’s. "There’s no better ti than the present, Master."

Before Mark could respond, Aria had already turned toward Cali and was walking toward her.

"Co here, Cali," Aria said, gently taking the succubus by the hand. "Don’t just stand there."

"B-but..." Cali stamred, her face completely red as Aria pulled her gently toward the bed. "A-already? That fast?"

"Would you prefer we wait?"

"N-no, but..."

"Then co on."

Mark tried to say sothing, anything, about the inquisitors, about the eting Rose was organizing, about the fact that he had literally just told Rose to get everyone ready to depart.

But Ely didn’t give him the chance.

Because the mont he opened his mouth, she leaned forward and kissed him in a way that made Mark close his eyes by pure reflex as he felt Ely’s tongue against his.

And while she kissed him, Ely gently pushed him back with her other hand until his back touched the bed.

When Ely finally pulled away from his lips, Mark lay there staring at the ceiling of his bedroom with his breathing slightly quickened and his robe already halfway off.

’Well, I suppose this is going to be fun,’ Mark thought with amusent.
