Finally, ShineOn’s first anniversary since forming had arrived. Of course, how could their annual fansign event be missing?
This ti, the event was not just a et-and-greet. It was also combined with a performance at Lilac Stadium in Celestia, which had a capacity of over ten thousand people, and only fans who managed to buy tickets would be allowed in.
That ant you had to prove you had bought albums and that you were a Polaris to get an entry ticket. After all, this was not quite a full concert yet, but rather a fansign.
Even so, ten thousand tickets was an absolutely terrifying number, especially when every single one of them was reserved exclusively for fans.
Although everyone had always known that ShineOn had a huge fanbase, there were still differences within fandom culture. So people followed idols purely for the music. They might watch MVs and show support, but they would not spend money. Everyone had different needs.
Many people predicted that at best, only about half the tickets would be sold, or maybe just a bit more. Even that would already be an astonishing number, considering ShineOn had only debuted for one year. There were also plenty of people mocking ShineOn for being overly confident and arrogant, certain that they would end up embarrassing themselves.
However, all of that comntary was instantly shattered on the day ticket sales opened. Ten thousand tickets sold out in less than ten minutes!
[Too bad my hand speed wasn’t fast enough!]
[I can’t compete with all those rich ladies and rich gentlen, oh my god.]
[Anyone who dared laugh at ShineOn for not being able to sell out should be crawling back into their caves right now, hahaha.]
[Tsk, this group isn’t flopping like a certain other one. Ten thousand tickets and they still couldn’t sell out, huh?]
[Talking about ten thousand tickets like it’s only a hundred.]
[But Polaris are amazing. I’ll just stay ho and wait for everyone’s fancams!]
[Please, soone hug Joshua for !]
Andy: [Ok.]
[hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha]
[Was it really necessary to reply that bluntly?!]
[Suddenly I feel very, very, very jealous!]
[Even though I really like the photos you took, Andy, if you keep showing off, I won’t forgive you!]
[When bro Wolf was showing off, I didn’t see you guys saying that.]
[Hahaha, bro Wolf is just suffering from delusions.]
[Leonard, husband, co here to !]
[Am I the only one calling all five of them my husbands, hahahah?]
[You’re so greedy.]
The fansign event would be held at the end of the year, specifically over two days, December 21st and 22nd, which happened to fall on a Saturday and Sunday.
Before that, ShineOn was, of course, practicing day and night for the activities that would take place during the fansign. Joshua wondered whether, if he held hands with each person once and there were ten thousand people, his skin would end up worn down by an entire layer.
But Elly said that the fansign would still select a fixed group of fans like last ti, so the et-and-greet tickets would be limited. There would be no situation where they had to hold hands with ten thousand people over two days.
Before that, Joshua had another schedule, which was participating in Running Actors, a program dedicated to promoting films and also an opportunity for new actors to showcase their appeal early in their careers.
Joshua was favored by the production team of [Dream] and chosen as the representative promoting [Dream] on this season of Running Actors.
During that ti, there would be a special segnt inviting acquaintances to help out, and the designated acquaintance was Luis.
Joshua did not object to this at all. It had been a long ti since he last saw Luis because both of their schedules were busy. Luis’s scenes in [Dream] had only recently wrapped up, and Luis still owed him a barbecue al that he had not paid back yet. Joshua had not forgotten.
If Luis knew that Joshua was thinking of him because of a barbecue he still owed, he would probably cry himself unconscious in the bathroom.
Before the day Joshua returned ho to prepare for Running Actors, Leonard even gave him a special reminder. "If anyone bullies you, just deal with them. If you can’t handle it, rember who it was. I’ll deal with them for you."
Joshua: "...You’re still an idol, you know."
Leonard snorted coldly.
Luther wrapped an arm around Joshua. "Are you really afraid Joshua will suffer a loss? I’m more worried Joshua will be the one bullying others."
Seeing Joshua raise his fist, Luther imdiately said, "See? The Mangosteen Divine Palm."
Joshua directly couldn’t be bothered to pay Luther any attention anymore.
Luther was still pinching Joshua’s cheeks. "Even when you’re sulking, you’re this cute. Be careful, or you’ll get kidnapped."
Joshua grabbed Luther’s hand and pulled it down.
At that mont, Henry also walked over and nodded. "Everything went smoothly."
Justin clenched his fist as well, making a cheering gesture.
Joshua smiled and nodded, saying goodbye to them.
The mont Joshua disappeared from sight, Luther’s smile vanished.
They had been happily together just monts ago, and suddenly separating like this. In truth, Luther wasn’t happy about it either.
As soon as Joshua stepped out of the room, Luther started texting him like crazy, as if he wanted to bombard Joshua’s phone.
Joshua glanced at the ssages and saw that he was just rambling, so he didn’t pay it much attention.
The reason Joshua had to go ho was because the program had a live broadcast segnt, where they would "unexpectedly" barge in to wake up the guest and see what they looked like when they were half-asleep.
After all, fans always enjoyed these kinds of scenarios.
Of course, calling it a surprise didn’t an it was completely unexpected. The guests were inford in advance to prevent them from mistaking the production crew for burglars. Still, their deeply asleep state couldn’t be faked. At most, they could wake up early, wash their face, then pretend to sleep and finally wake up beautifully.
But the eyes of netizens were sharper than those of detectives. If you weren’t careful, it was very easy to get exposed.
Joshua’s take on this?
He felt that he might as well just sleep. After all, he couldn’t wake up early anyway. Whatever ti the production crew arrived would be the ti he got up. He just hoped they wouldn’t co too early.
Joshua thought silently.
As soon as he got ho, Joshua was cheerfully dragged into the room by Nine.
"When did you get here?" Joshua was held tightly by Nine and couldn’t help asking.
"I can co whenever I want. I’ve always been here!" Nine said loudly.
Hearing that, Joshua couldn’t help saying, "Running Actors starts filming tomorrow. You’d better make sure you don’t leave anything behind here."
Nine paused for a mont, then let out a strange laugh. "That sounds like we’re having a secret affair."
Joshua: "..." He kicked Nine lightly in the leg, then went back to his room to organize his things and tidy up a bit.
He had not been back for a long ti. Even though Nine was always here, Nine basically just lay around playing gas and couldn’t stop a thin layer of dust from forming.
Nine followed closely behind Joshua. Whatever Joshua did, he did too, and Joshua didn’t find him annoying.
"I heard that Lucas-sothing is going too this ti. He’s always seen himself as your rival. Joshua, you should be careful," Nine said while frantically wiping the table, reminding him.
Joshua nodded. "As long as he doesn’t do anything to , I won’t do anything to him."
Hearing that, Nine couldn’t help laughing. "Hahaha, you make it sound like you’re really dangerous."
Joshua smiled as well and didn’t say anything.
They spent more than an hour cleaning everything up. At the very least, Nine still cared about Joshua’s career. Even though he was itching inside, he really didn’t dare leave anything behind at Joshua’s place. After all, the internet could spin countless unreasonable speculations from just a single photo.
More than anything, he didn’t want Joshua to be affected, and even less did he want Joshua to be scolded or cursed at.
Their day ended with a barbecue al. Late at night, Nine could only return to his cold castle.
There was a feeling like choosing to smile in a small apartnt or cry in a vast, cold castle.
Well, that kind of saying didn’t really apply to Nine.
Running Actors had two main guests, two well-known actors in the industry who appeared as core guests throughout the entire program. Each episode also invited different external guests to participate.
This ti, there were four new external guests.
The two main guests were the male actor Vale and the female actor Julia. Both were already in their thirties and held stable positions in the industry.
The two of them were already waiting at the villa. anwhile, the program crew, along with the caran, were preparing to go knock on the doors of each guest’s ho.
The livestream room opened at the sa ti and was temporarily divided into two rooms. One room showed the guests who were about to be woken up, while the other livestread Vale and Julia’s reactions as they watched.
And now it was six in the morning. Fans were already eagerly waiting to see who would be the unlucky one to be woken up first!
