He had been looking at the angel that hovered just behind him with an unbound excitent that seed to course through every fiber of his being like a wildfire that could not be contained, for this radiant and ethereal angel was to beco his martial soul from this mont forward, and he could scarcely believe the magnitude of what had just transpired within him.
"System," he had asked with a mixture of curiosity and reverence in his voice, "it said that it would help comprehend law and daos, but I must confess that I do not fully understand what those terms truly an—would you please explain them to ?"
[Ding!] The system’s familiar chi resonated through his consciousness. [There are precisely 108 Daos in existence, and these Daos are responsible for controlling the entire fabric of creation itself, while a Dao should be understood as the very manifestation of hundreds of different laws that work together in perfect harmony to govern all aspects of reality.]
"Is that really so?" Alex had asked again, his mind already racing with the implications of what he had just been told. "What exactly should I begin with if I wish to start comprehending these laws and Daos for myself?"
[Ding!] The system responded with its characteristic promptness. [Once you have successfully reached the ninth level of the martial emperor realm, you will be required to comprehend at least one law in order to break through to the next level of your cultivation journey. At that mont, an inner planet would be born inside your body according to the specific nature and properties of the law that you have chosen to comprehend.]
"Can a person actually comprehend more than one law during their cultivation?" Alex had inquired further, his analytical mind already probing the depths of this new information. "And if he can indeed do so, what effect would that have on the formation and developnt of his inner world?"
[Ding! If a cultivator comprehends only one law, that single law would create the planet within his inner world, but if he goes on to comprehend different and complentary laws, those additional laws would serve to perfect and enhance that planet in ways that are truly remarkable. The more laws you manage to comprehend throughout your cultivation journey, the stronger you shall inevitably beco.]
Alex had nodded with genuine understanding dawning across his features, for the system’s explanation had been clear and thorough in a way that left no room for confusion or doubt within his mind.
"Right now, my combat prowess is currently at the star realm," he had muttered to himself as he considered his present circumstances. "With my newly acquired martial soul, do you think I could possibly fight against a being from the galactic realm? It would be truly marvelous if I could, but I must admit that I do not feel any noticeable incrent in my strength whatsoever, despite having awakened this angelic martial soul."
[Ding! The host must specifically order his martial soul to allow him to borrow its power, for the angel’s strength does not automatically transfer to you without your explicit command and intention to utilize it.]
"Really?" Alex had exclaid with renewed enthusiasm. "Then let us try this imdiately."
"Lend your full power at once," he had ordered calmly, though his heart was pounding with anticipation within his chest.
Boom!
Instantly, the angel’s entire body had begun glowing with an intensity that seed to rival the sun itself, and all of its transparent and ethereal wings were radiating a brilliant light that filled the entire room with an almost divine luminescence that seed to transcend the boundaries of ordinary physical reality.
Alex had instantly felt his strength soaring to an unimaginable degree, as if he had been transford into sothing far greater than a re mortal could ever hope to beco, and the power that flooded through his ridians and his very soul was intoxicating in its magnitude and its intensity.
[Ding!] The system had interrupted his reverie with a tone of urgent warning. [The host’s physical body is not yet strong enough to withstand such an imnse influx of power.
Using the angel’s full power at your current level of developnt could severely damage your cultivation foundation in ways that might prove impossible to repair. Please restrict yourself to using only one realm above your current level for now, and you must continue to do so until you have either found a supre body cultivation technique or until your gene strength has surpassed ten thousand tis its current level.]
Alex had instantly ordered his martial soul to cease its power transfer, and he felt the energy that had still been soaring toward the heavens co to an abrupt and rciful halt.
He had heaved a deep sigh of relief as the dangerous pressure receded from his body, and he silently thanked the system for its tily warning that had undoubtedly saved him from a catastrophic mistake.
Then he had looked down at the single drop of blood that remained in his hand, for this was the essence blood of the vampire elder whom he had defeated, and he knew that this small crimson droplet might hold the key to understanding mysteries that had long remained hidden from human knowledge.
"Rafael," he had asked his system with a tone of serious inquiry, "I need you to analyse this drop of blood for . Can you possibly link it to Earth’s historical records? Was there ever anyone with a similar bloodline who had co to this planet at any point in its history, perhaps even before the apocalypse that had transford our world?"
[Give a mont to process this request,] Rafael had responded, and Alex could sense the system working diligently behind the scenes to analyze the ancient blood sample.
[There was indeed a historical record of sothing like this occurring approximately one thousand years ago,] Rafael had finally announced. [However, the world law itself could not perceive that individual’s presence at the ti, which suggests that he might have been a mber of the royal family from the vampire race.
It is entirely possible that this individual had mated with a human woman, and the Moriarty family had descended from that union. After thousands of years of genetic inheritance, your father had apparently received a hidden purity of the progenitor’s bloodline that was being passed down through the generations, or perhaps it had simply been awakened sohow by the circumstances of his life.]
Alex had nodded thoughtfully at Rafael’s answer, for it was certainly acceptable as a working hypothesis, but it did not truly clear his doubt about the fundantal nature of this bloodline inheritance. How had this vampire bloodline actually co to reside within his father’s body? Was this a hidden trait that every vampire possessed, and only so of them could unleash its potential? Or were there only certain chosen individuals who had been blessed with this progenitor bloodline? He knew that he would need to find the answers to these questions within the vampire domain itself, and he resolved to do so as soon as he possibly could.
Alex had then made his way out of the room where he had been ditating, and when he finally erged into the broader estate, he saw that the entire property had been decorated with an elaborate care that spoke of significant preparation and celebration.
Hundreds of people were gathered inside the estate at that very mont, and he recognized every single one of them, for the Moriarty family was hosting a grand banquet in honor of sothing that he had not yet fully understood.
As soon as he had appeared in their midst, the maids and servants who had been stationed outside his room had gone absolutely crazy with a mixture of awe and nervousness, for they did not know how they should behave in the presence of the supre being of all Earth.
"Greetings, Your Highness!" they had all bowed in perfect unison, their voices trembling with respect and barely contained fear.
Alex had rely nodded his head in acknowledgnt of their greeting, for he had grown sowhat accustod to such displays of reverence by this point in his journey.
"Where is everyone gathered?" he had asked, even though he already knew the answer to his own question from the sounds of rrint that drifted through the halls.
"I shall take you there directly, sir," a servant had said with polite deference, and Alex had nodded at the man before beginning to follow him through the elaborately decorated corridors of the estate.
---
Elsewhere, in the sky above the Moriarty estate, an ethereal-looking woman dressed in flowing white robes had been speaking to Anna in a tone that was calm but carried an undercurrent of sothing that might have been impatience or perhaps disappointnt.
"He is afraid that you will beco a burden to him as he continues to grow in power and influence," the woman had said as she gazed down at the estate below. "What do you wish to do now? Would you co with to the palace where you could receive proper training and guidance, or would you prefer to rot here while he surpasses every imagination you could possibly have about his potential?"
"Senior sister," Anna had replied with a smile that was not quite a smile, for it carried too much sorrow and determination to be genuinely cheerful, "no one in this world or any other would be happier than if he truly accomplishes all of these things. But I shall go with you, for I wish to prove myself worthy of him and his affection. Please take with you, and I shall do whatever is required of ."
