Now reading: Chapter 183: Toward the central continent from My Infinite Cultivation System, a Fantasy novel by InfiniteRuler.

Kremlin’s eyes darkened noticeably as ancient mories surfaced within his mind.

"One of the four supre factions launched a war."

Alex imdiately beca interested.

"A war?"

Kremlin nodded slowly.

"Yes."

"However, the objective was neither territory nor resources."

"It was not political influence."

"It was not revenge."

His voice lowered slightly as he continued.

"The target was a soul beast."

The atmosphere imdiately beca tense.

Even the evening breeze outside seed to lose so of its warmth.

Alex remained silent and allowed the man to continue.

Kremlin’s expression beca increasingly serious.

"It was said that a ten million year soul beast appeared within an ancient forbidden region."

"The mont news of its existence spread throughout the Central Continent, one of the supre factions imdiately mobilized its forces."

Alex raised an eyebrow.

"They moved that quickly?"

Kremlin nodded.

"The appearance of such a creature is not an ordinary event."

"Many experts spend their entire lives searching for clues regarding the existence of those legendary beasts."

"To countless cultivators, they are little different from living myths."

The old man paused briefly before continuing.

"According to the stories I heard, the supre faction assembled an enormous army."

"Thousands of elite experts participated."

"Nurous gods answered the summons."

"Several ancient elders who had remained hidden for centuries also erged."

His gaze drifted toward the distant horizon.

"The entire Central Continent was shaken."

Alex listened carefully.

A force capable of mobilizing such strength clearly intended to achieve victory regardless of the cost.

"The conflict lasted nearly three days."

Kremlin’s voice carried a hint of disbelief even now.

"Entire mountain ranges vanished from the world."

"Massive seas were evaporated."

"Ancient forests that had existed for hundreds of thousands of years disappeared completely."

"Countless gods died during the fighting."

Even Alex found the scale impressive.

Wars between powerful cultivators often produced devastating destruction. However, a battle capable of permanently reshaping entire regions of a continent was another matter entirely.

Such destruction could only occur when truly monstrous existences clashed.

Kremlin slowly exhaled.

"The battle beca so intense that nobody could accurately track what was happening."

"Information constantly contradicted itself."

"Entire armies vanished."

"Experts disappeared without leaving behind corpses."

"At one point, it was said that the sky itself remained covered in divine flas for almost two months."

Alex could easily imagine the scene.

Countless experts battling across heaven and earth.

Divine techniques capable of destroying mountains.

Ancient beings unleashing power accumulated over thousands of years.

The resulting devastation would be unimaginable to ordinary people.

"And what happened in the end?"

Kremlin’s expression beca complicated.

"In the end, the soul beast escaped."

Alex’s smile widened slightly.

A creature capable of surviving an assault from an entire supre faction was undoubtedly extraordinary.

Then another thought occurred to him.

"What kind of soul beast was it?"

Kremlin frowned.

"I only heard fragnts."

"The surviving witnesses never agreed upon what they had seen."

"So described it as a dragon."

"Others claid it resembled a heavenly serpent."

"There were also reports stating that it possessed nine heads."

Alex imdiately understood the situation.

The battle must have been so chaotic that reliable information beca impossible to obtain.

Powerful techniques could alter appearances, distort space, and even affect perception itself. Under such conditions, eyewitness testimony held little value.

The creature’s true form remained a mystery.

As Alex considered the information, his expression suddenly changed.

A powerful presence had entered the range of his senses.

The aura was not particularly overwhelming.

Compared to his own strength, it was insignificant.

However, it possessed sothing far more important.

It was unfamiliar.

Furthermore, the source of that presence was currently located within the academy.

More specifically, it was coming from his residence.

Alex’s golden eyes narrowed.

Kremlin imdiately noticed the change.

The old man’s instincts beca alert at once.

"What happened?"

Alex looked toward the academy grounds below.

His expression remained calm.

"Soone entered."

Kremlin frowned.

"An intruder?"

Alex nodded.

"Apparently."

The next mont, space folded around both of them.

Their figures simply vanished from the hidden layer of space.

Less than a second later, they reappeared outside Alex’s residence.

A faint trace of divine power lingered within the air.

The energy was weak.

Nevertheless, its existence was sufficient to attract his attention.

Kremlin sensed it as well.

His expression darkened instantly.

"A god."

Alex said nothing.

Instead, he calmly walked toward the entrance.

The two entered the residence together.

The interior appeared untouched.

No furniture had been damaged.

Everything remained exactly where it should have been.

The room looked as though nobody had entered at all.

Then Alex’s gaze shifted toward his desk.

An object rested there quietly.

A black envelope.

Nothing else.

The room instantly beca silent. The envelope carried no markings whatsoever.

There were no nas.

No symbols.

No faction insignias.

No seals.

At first glance, it appeared completely ordinary.

However, the mont Alex picked it up, his eyes narrowed.

The material felt unusual beneath his fingers.

It was not paper.

It was not leather.

It was sothing far rarer.

Ancient dragon skin.

Extrely ancient dragon skin.

The age contained within the material was astonishing.

Kremlin’s expression changed dramatically.

"My lord..."

Alex glanced toward him.

"You recognize it?"

The old man slowly nodded.

His face had beco exceptionally serious.

"I have seen material like this before."

"Where?"

Kremlin swallowed.

"On the Central Continent."

The room fell silent once more.

That answer alone revealed the significance of the envelope.

Whoever had delivered it was almost certainly connected to the Central Continent.

More importantly, they possessed resources that ordinary forces could never obtain.

Alex calmly opened the envelope.

Inside rested a single golden card.

Its surface contained a single sentence written in elegant ancient script.

Every character carried an indescribable pressure.

It almost felt as though the writer had infused a fragnt of their own will into the words.

Alex carefully read the ssage.

The mont he finished, his expression finally changed.

Kremlin imdiately beca nervous.

Throughout their interactions, Alex had remained calm regardless of the situation.

Seeing such a reaction was extrely rare.

"What does it say?"

Alex remained silent for several monts.

His expression revealed nothing. Then he slowly handed the card to Kremlin.

He accepted it and lowered his gaze.

The instant he read the sentence, the color drained from his face.

Shock appeared within his eyes.

Written upon the golden card was a single ssage.

"Co to the Central Continent if you wish to learn the true history of the world."

The room beca completely silent.

Neither Alex nor Kremlin spoke.

The implications were enormous.

Soone knew about Alex.

Soone possessed access to ancient dragon skin.

Soone had entered the academy without triggering a single alarm.

Most importantly, soone knew enough about the world’s hidden history to send such an invitation.

Far beyond the endless horizon of the world, within a place untouched by ordinary beings, an unknown pair of eyes slowly opened.

Ancient power stirred within endless darkness.

The gaze seed capable of observing the entire world itself.

A faint voice echoed through the void.

"The fate surrounding this anomaly is unusually chaotic."

The mysterious existence appeared to be studying sothing beyond ordinary comprehension.

After several monts, the voice spoke again.

"It is rather interesting."

anwhile, Alex stood within his residence while holding the mysterious envelope.

The countless questions that had accompanied him since arriving in this world suddenly seed closer to being answered.

And every clue now pointed toward a single destination.

The Central Continent.
