"You know, it might be a good idea to give Raptors as tribute," Daedalus said through telepathy as Leone continued to crawl down the mountain.

"And why is that?" Leone asked through gritted teeth.

"I can put my mark on them and summon them to my side at any ti," Daedalus replied. "They won’t know, so the tribes can’t bla you if they suddenly disappear."

"... That’s actually a good move."

"I know, right? But I have a better idea. How about we use the Raptors as spies?"

"As spies?"

"Yes," Daedalus began his explanation. "If each of the middle-ranked tribes has a Raptor with them, we can know every move they make and steal important information right under their nose!

"Right now, we don’t have enough manpower to gather information from the middle-ranked tribes. Even if we did have soone to send, it would be dangerous for them. As long as I place my mark on the raptors, I can see and hear anything within a two-hundred-ter radius around them.

"I can also remotely give them orders. This can be very helpful in the future, especially after we stop giving tributes. If they ever declare war against us, we can prepare for it days before they launch their attacks. It’s a win-win for us!"

Leone nodded as he continued to crawl down the mountain. "Indeed. Gathering information is also important. If we can get them without dirtying our hands, spending five Raptors will be a bargain.

"It’s a good investnt in the long run. They won’t even know that we’ve planted our spies right under their noses. If we’re lucky, we may also get so news about the high-ranking tribes before we et them in the tribal gatherings."

"Exactly!" Daedalus agreed. "If worst cos to worst, we can also use the Raptors to sabotage their operations. We have many options to choose from."

Leone and Daedalus then brainstord as the young man continued his descent. A few hours later, at around noon, he finally arrived at the entrance of the barracks.

When the tribe mbers saw their Great Chieftain, none of them knew how to react to whatever he was doing.

"What are you doing, Great Chieftain?" Runa crouched down to ask Leone a question.

"I’m training a... powerful... skill!" Leone replied, gasping for breath.

"Really?"

"Really!"

Runa glanced at Yuni and Jason, but the two only shook their heads, telling Runa not to ask more questions.

The children, who were below five years old, ran toward their Great Chieftain.

Thinking Leone was doing sothing fun, so of them even climbed on his back, making the young man groan as he slumped on the ground.

"Giddy yap!" A four-year-old girl clapped her hands in excitent while sitting on Leone’s back.

More kids ca. Before everyone knew it, Leone found himself further pinned down to the ground by the kids who usually played with Fury.

Yuni and Runa couldn’t stop themselves from giggling. Leone looked like an insect that had been stepped on.

Fortunately, Jason ca to the rescue and asked the children to get off their Great Chieftain. So stubborn ones refused, so he even lifted them off Leone’s back.

Suddenly, Gundar appeared beside Leone and crouched down to take the bracelets off his wrists, making the young man feel relief as the pressure that pinned him down disappeared completely.

He was about to thank his "Great Uncle," but after hearing what the old man had to say, Leone slumped on the ground for a second ti.

"You can eat lunch first," Gundar said with a smile. "After that, you will resu the challenge. Rember. If you pass, I’ll teach you a powerful shamanic skill."

After saying what he had to say, Gundar walked toward the dining area of the barracks to also have lunch.

Yuni and Jason helped Leone up and supported him until they also reached the dining area.

There, they ate together with the young man. He only ate enough to sate his hunger, knowing that if he ate until he was full, he would only suffer once he resud his training.

Half an hour later, Leone was once again crawling on the ground. It was then that he suddenly thought of an idea. He then consulted with Daedalus, wanting to check if his plan would not affect the conditions the old shaman had asked of him.

"Sir Gundar only said that you can’t get help from anybody," Daedalus explained. "He didn’t say anything about you using your abilities."

"Then can I use that thod?"

"I don’t see why not? In fact, I am looking forward to how that old man would react."

"Good." Leone grinned. "Ti to speed up the pace!"

The young man then pressed his palm on the ground. A mont later, his body was raised high up in the air by stone parapets that were piled up on top of each other.

Yuni blinked.

Jason smiled wryly.

As for Gundar, he wondered what was happening.

Leone then channeled his power, creating wooden panels that slanted toward the ground.

One after another, he extended them forward while raising wooden barriers along the sides, gradually forming a crude but functional wooden slide.

But Leone had no plans to stop there.

Leone made a simple cart with wheels under his body. After seeing this, Yuni and Jason finally understood what their Great Chieftain was planning to do.

Pushing himself forward, Leone slid off the wooden path laid out before him, gaining speed with each second.

Before he could even hit the base, he imdiately summoned more wooden panels with wooden barriers at the side, allowing him to travel without worrying about being blown off track.

While Leone built things in front of him, Daedalus dismantled everything behind them to recycle the materials the young man was using.

"This damned brat really exceeded my expectations..." Gundar couldn’t help but shake his head helplessly.

With this thod, Leone successfully circled the entire barracks in a short ti!

Although the Shaman had no idea what was happening, that didn’t stop him from being intrigued by the power of the young man.

Since this was Gundar’s first ti seeing anything like this, he grew more and more intrigued. At the sa ti, he finally understood one of the secrets that convinced the other tribes to gather around the young man, even calling him their Great Chieftain.

’With this kind of power, I’m sure he can really carve out his own kingdom here in the Borderlands.’ Gundar could feel his blood heating up at the thought. This kind of miraculous power simply carried a lot of potential.

It was then that he rembered Leone’s offer to make him his vassal. Sadly, Gundar had made an oath to the forr chieftain of the Grimhowl Tribe.

Had he not made that promise to his sworn friend, he would definitely want to stick by Leone’s side and watch him build a kingdom that would take the Borderlands by storm.
