A disaster struck the human world, resulting in many deaths. The Judge’s hand that wielded the Judge’s Token Pen had started to tremble, flipping through the rit and Derit Book so much it was nearly worn out. Yet, none of this compared to the vexation of Qin Liuxi seeking him out again.
King Yan directly evaded, lacking any sense of justice.
Qin Liuxi looked at the Judge’s forced smile, and wisely slipped over two gold ingots, smiling warmly: "Don’t be like this, I’m just here to ask you about soone."
Money can make the ghost turn the mill.
The Judge stuffed the gold ingots into his sleeve, and his smile beca more genuine: "You are being too formal with old , my lord. What is my relationship with you? If you need sothing, just summon , why co here yourself?"
"I also need to find Ksitigarbha and the Great Emperor for so matters, that’s why I ca personally."
In the back, King Yan imdiately signaled a little ghost to inform the Great Emperor.
The Judge pointed out the Chang City Li Weng that Qin Liuxi wanted to find, took a glance, and said: "This person used living people for sacrifice, altering fate and fortune against the heavens, committing twenty counts of murderous cris. He was sentenced to the Sword Mountain Hell for punishnt. Because of his good deeds, the punishnt is offset by rit, reducing it to twenty years, with two years remaining."
Qin Liuxi said: "I want to see him."
The Judge said: "I will lead you over."
"No need, just let a little ghost lead the way. Many have died recently, I don’t want to inconvenience you." Qin Liuxi was very considerate.
The Judge was flattered, but dared not let her wander alone, saying: "No worries, I’ll take the chance for a breather. This way."
Qin Liuxi didn’t mind, following him to the Sword Mountain Hell.
King Yan watched them leave, then stepped out, muttering conspiratorially: "Has that little disaster star changed? Or is sothing bigger brewing, the calm before the storm?"
Announce full alert throughout the hall, level twelve!
Qin Liuxi, unaware she had been deed a terror by King Yan, stood before the Sword Mountain Hell, watching those inside scream in agony. They were being cut into pieces, not on the body but upon the soul, being incessantly sliced and reford.
The Judge had already found the Ghost General guarding the Sword Mountain Hell, who had brought out Li Weng.
Li Weng, having been punished for eighteen years in this Sword Mountain Hell, had long been ravaged beyond human form. Now standing in front of Qin Liuxi and the others, his soul body seed on the brink of dispersal.
Upon arrival, introduced by the Ghost General, he trembled and knelt.
Qin Liuxi got straight to the point: "Back then, you set up a Five Elents Formation at the Li Family tea mountain, why choose tea? Even if you had your son study, that excellent feng shui would have led to prominence. You chose to cultivate tea and enter rchant registration, why?"
Li Weng trembled, looked up at Qin Liuxi, shock mixed with fear in his eyes, how did she know?
Qin Liuxi said: "Using living people for burying and array formation, such monstrous evil, you should have anticipated the karma. So, you established ancestral injunctions for the Li Family not to forget good deeds, but what’s done is done; rit cannot entirely offset it. You weren’t wrong, retribution fell on the Li Family, leading to its ruin and destruction."
Li Weng’s soul body quivered in terror, seemingly about to rush forward, but the Ghost General harshly chained and pulled him back, sternly warning: "Do not act recklessly before the lord."
The chain was a magic artifact, imbued with the power of a Thunder Strike, and with a strong hit, Li Weng let out a scream of pain.
The Judge said: "Enough, release him, how will the lord interrogate like this?"
The Ghost General obsequiously complied, freeing him again.
Given freedom, Li Weng dared not be impudent, only looked at Qin Liuxi, asking: "What happened to the Li Family?"
"The signs of ruin and destruction, what do you think? Everything taken must be returned, so ask no more. I’ve co because the Li Family has indeed done many good deeds and they wish to redeem all the Li Family’s sins, thus I’ve co." Qin Liuxi said: "Who was it that helped you set up the formation back then? Do you rember the children who were buried alive, who were they?"
"Why do you ask this?"
"Those children’s resentful energy from being buried alive is imnse, a soul sacrifice to curse the Li Family. With the Judge here, if you rember, na one."
Li Weng, despite years of punishnt, had a muddled mind, but this he dared not forget, his deepest, most shaful burden; he imdiately nad soone and gave the household registration.
The Judge took his Book of Life and Death, checked, and found that the person had died long ago but hadn’t entered Reincarnation. He shook his head at Qin Liuxi: "Not entered Reincarnation."
Qin Liuxi had anticipated this, and looking at Li Weng again, saw even more despair in his expression.
"After committing that act, gaining wealth, I sought to reward their families." Li Weng said: "I knew my sins were severe, daring not to seek divine forgiveness, so I thought to atone through good deeds. I didn’t anticipate..."
He didn’t anticipate they hadn’t even entered Reincarnation.
Nor did he anticipate they would consent to soul sacrifices to curse, truly superstitious and haunted by demons.
"Who was the person setting up the formation?"
Li Weng replied: "It was a traveling Taoist nad Xuanming. At that ti, I just wanted better feng shui. He proposed using child boys and girls with noble Five Elents and Eight Characters for the formation, achieving twice the result with half the effort. I was solely focused on revitalizing the Li Family and reclaiming our glory."
"Reclaim?"
"Yes, you asked why focus only on tea, that’s because my Li Family’s ancestors rose by cultivating tea. In the previous dynasty, the Li Family even created a tea called ’Youlan,’ a tribute tea. Later, it was sched against by the Wunan Xian Family, leading to the ruin and downfall of the Li Family. That tribute tea was seized and renad ’Yulan’ for tribute. The Xian Family rose by stepping on my Li Family’s blood. Before my father died, he tasked with reclaiming that glory. I bore a sea of blood feud, living in hiding, even faking my death to escape the Xian Family’s eradication, earning money as a tea attendant until I reached my thirties to begin anew. It was then that I followed Xuanming Daoist’s advice and laid that formation, nurturing Jade Mist."
Li Weng recalled the past, saying: "One wrong step led to another, I’m guilty of being blinded by evil spirits, I admit."
"Your scope was too narrow. To restore family glory, must you be a tea rchant? Couldn’t you assu office? Such a feng shui treasure land, burying your ancestors’ remains would certainly produce an official!" Qin Liuxi shook her head.
Li Weng shuddered, laughing bitterly. Reclaiming everything from the Xian Family, making the Li Family produce tribute tea once more had beco his obsession and Heart Demon, leading him to believe in that malicious and cruel act. Since that incident, he hadn’t slept soundly a single night.
Now, hearing about the Li Family’s downfall, he oddly felt a sense of inevitability as this day finally arrived.
"Lord Heavenly Master, please convey to my descendants that the Li Family’s ill-gotten wealth must return to the people to atone..." Li Weng prostrated on the ground, listing the nas he recalled and entrusted her to pass them on, asking them to donate all family assets.
