As the tombstone was moved aside, revealing what lay beneath, the sun was just tipping over the horizon, and standing in the flat area, one could no longer see the remnants of the sunset. The compass in Qin Liuxi’s hand, which had been functioning normally, suddenly began to swing erratically, and the surrounding air seed to turn colder with it.

"What is this thing, why has it suddenly gotten colder." A personal soldier rubbed his arms.

Qin Liuxi, however, stuffed the compass into her bag and picked up a tree branch to push aside the dark, torn cloth.

Song Ye’s face had already turned ashen. He had been present during the reburial, and when the tombstone was placed, everything was clean and tidy, without anything amiss. Now, what was this?

Without even asking Qin Liuxi, he knew that sothing that shouldn’t have appeared had now turned up at the well-kept grave, a matter that sent chills down one’s spine.

Damn, it was really startling!

Qin Liuxi pushed aside the black cloth to reveal what was underneath, she paused for a mont and then said gravely: "It’s an infant corpse."

Wrapped in black cloth was the skeletal remains of a small infant. When Song Ye forcefully pushed down the tombstone, much of the long-oxidized bones had been crushed.

Song Ye and the personal soldier both stiffened, their legs shaking as they felt the temperature drop even further.

Qin Liuxi ford a Sealing gesture with one hand and took out an Exorcism Talisman, throwing it over before dragging out the entire black cloth from the small pit, spreading it out completely, and then using a branch to push the bones aside to see the skull, saying, "This infant corpse, not even a year old."

As a Xuan Yi, she was capable of determining soone’s age from their skeletal remains, and this infant corpse was not even a year old, it must have died shortly after or even right at birth.

Song Ye shivered all over, staring at the tiny white bones. His throat gurgled, and in a trembling voice, he said, "Could it be, could it be that this is Sister Liu’s...?"

Qin Liuxi did not speak, she continued her inspection, finding within the white bones another talisman already shattered, presumably wrapped around the infant corpse. Mingled with the bones was also a smooth stone.

Suddenly, Qin Liuxi’s eyes grew sharp, she stood up, closed her eyes slightly, then opened them again, the energy had changed.

Originally this was an excellent Feng Shui Treasure Cave, sheltering wind and gathering Qi, but with the setting of the sun, the air here had transford into yin energy, hovering over the ancestral grave, making the temperature drop substantially.

And as the sky grew darker, the yin energy thickened.

Qin Liuxi looked up as the moon rose, casting a shallow Moonlight.

She glanced around and with a chuckle, interest glead in her eyes, so that’s how it is.

Using Yin Objects and the Five Elents of the sun and moon to transform the Feng Shui Treasure Cave into a land of Yin Evil.

"Stop dazing. Look around for any strange items, find them all, including those in the trees," Qin Liuxi instructed the two people whose teeth were chattering.

Turning her head and seeing the faces of the two turning sowhat pale due to the gathering of yin energy, she handed a talisman to each of them: "Wear these."

The two n eagerly took them, and upon receiving the talisman, the chilly yin feeling dissipated from their bodies, and warmth returned to their limbs. They were imnsely grateful and tucked the talismans into their chests, following the instructions to search for items.

Various items were found and placed beside the infant corpse. Qin Liuxi examined them, one by one—

a small copper mirror with patches of bloodstains, and carvings made of willow wood depicting a lifelike two-headed snake, all wrapped with Yin Summoning Talismans, the yin energy dense and malevolent.

The sky had darkened, the wind rustled through the treetops, making whispering noises, and from sowhere ca the call of a night owl, making Song Ye and the personal soldier nearly jump, their throats parched and tongues dry.

It was too dreadfully gloomy.

"Master, we’ve found everything. Is this, is this enough?" Song Ye clutched the talisman, feeling the stability and warmth coming from it.

Qin Liuxi humd an affirmative, had the personal soldier bring two pieces of wrapping cloth, wrapped the infant corpse separately, and then gathered all the Yin Objects from the ground with another piece. Afterward, she sat cross-legged on the ground, fingers forming a spell incantation, chanting an Evil Exorcism Spell.

"Imperious and boundless, as the sun rises from the east, I grant the Spirit Talisman, sweeping away all misfortune... I command Lord Lao Zi of the Great Monad, hurry, as if an order from above."

As the spell was recited, a Five Thunder Exorcism Talisman flew out, striking the Yin Object and spontaneously combusting.

Qin Liuxi opened her eyes and said, "The evil magic is broken, but to restore this Treasure Cave to a blessed land, we must redecorate it completely. The sky has darkened now, let’s return early tomorrow morning."

Song Ye, upon hearing this, breathed a sigh of relief and asked, "What about the person behind this?"

"Destroying one’s ancestral tomb is extrely vicious and severely diminishes yin virtue. Once the spell is broken, backlash is inevitable," Qin Liuxi said coldly, "This is the retribution of cause and effect."

Her gaze pierced the Void, as if peering into the domain of that Evil Path.

anwhile, in a cave of a Daoist Temple, an old Taoist suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood onto the wall amidst his cultivation, His originally black hair turned white inch by inch, and his skin began to wrinkle, aging him by ten years in an instant.

The old Taoist was utterly horrified, his triangular eyes revealing a nacing glare as he roared angrily, "Who is it this ti?"

Who had once again broken his magic spell.

The old Taoist began to calculate with his fingers, and exclaid in shock, "This is bad!"

Ignoring the instability of his Qi chanism due to the backlash, he clutched his chest and left the cave. As he descended the mountain, he saw that the Daoist Temple was brightly lit with torches, surrounded by people.

The old Taoist imdiately took a back path down the mountain, heading straight for his daughter’s house.

Wei Caizhou had been feeling restless lately, especially at night. He would often dream of his deceased younger son, wet and clinging to his arm, mournfully telling him it was cold and asking for a blanket.

Just like now, he had barely dozed off when he awoke with a start from a nightmare, his body drenched in sweat, his handso and scholarly face pale and colorless.

"Cousin, what’s wrong?" A charming woman wrapped herself around him in a boneless embrace.

"I dread of Chang’er again," Wei Caizhou murmured.

The woman stiffened, puckering her red lips in dissatisfaction and said, "He’s already dead, why do you still think of him? Aren’t we won enough for you?"

She turned away in a huff.

Seeing her upset, Wei Caizhou quickly tried to placate her, "Cousin, in my heart there are only you ladies, how could that not be enough? Feel my heart, isn’t it saying just that?"

He reached for her hand, but she shook his grasp off and choked up, "When will there be an end to all this? First Hua’er, now I have to raise Jiaojiao and the others all alone, and we can’t even show our faces."

"Soon, hasn’t uncle said it will be soon?"

"To death with that crude woman and Song Ye; I can’t wait any longer," the woman said angrily. "It’s all or nothing now, might as well just do it outright."

Wei Caizhou’s expression changed, "Let’s forget about Song Liu, but Song Ye is a court official. We can’t just strike at him recklessly. If it ever cos out, us adults might not suffer much, but it will be hard on the kids."

"Then what should we do? Just wait indefinitely like this?" The woman felt wronged.

Wei Caizhou thought for a mont and said, "We still need to rely on uncle, with his powerful magic, he’s sure to have Divine Skills that can kill without anyone noticing."

The woman glared at him and snorted, "Father will surely be able to do it, but you should also think about it. If we really go through with it, all the karmic retribution will fall on father."

Wei Caizhou’s face showed a pained expression, "Of course, I don’t want uncle to suffer the slightest harm. I hate that I know nothing and can only make you suffer."

The woman’s expression softened slightly. She was about to say sothing when an urgent knock ca at the door. The maid said tremblingly, "Miss, it’s bad, our house is surrounded."
