After finishing reciting the Transcendence Scripture, Qin Liuxi opened her eyes, re-lit the incense, and with yellow paper at hand, folded two gold ingots and burned them, then started summoning a Ghost ssenger.
A chilly breeze rushed in, carrying with it the sound of chains breaking through the air.
Xuan Qingzi and Yao Feifei retreated in shock, watching the spot where space twisted, a sinister Ghost ssenger dressed in a black robe with a high black hat, hands wrapped in Soul Hook chains, appeared, poking its head out.
Bai Renting’s resentful energy had dissipated, feeling the threat, his soul body trembled, and he nearly thought to flee.
"Senior Brother, is... is that the legendary Lord Black Impermanence?" Yao Feifei’s voice was scarcely audible as she clutched Xuan Qingzi’s hand, trembling.
Xuan Qingzi nodded, his eyes sparkling; this was his first ti seeing Lord Black Impermanence.
With an affirmative answer, Yao Feifei’s voice beca even more of a murmur, "She can actually summon a Ghost ssenger at any ti, and it’s even Black Impermanence."
Xuan Qingzi swallowed hard.
Summoning Ghost ssengers also requires Daoist Cultivation, and even if one has the cultivation, it’s not sothing you can just do at will. So Ghost ssengers simply ignore you, and summoning them carelessly might even offend them.

Upon hearing this, Black Impermanence imdiately loosened the Soul Hook Chain: "Oh, is he the ghost you’re taking care of? If you had said so earlier, I almost hard one of our own."

Alright, get up, in consideration of the Lord here, once I go down, I’ll help you look for your family. However, no matter how tragic your story, harming others is still harming others. If you want to reincarnate, you must serve your punishnt in full, understand?"
"I understand," Bai Renting said, tears of joy running down his face.
With the matter settled, Black Impermanence inquired if Qin Liuxi had any other instructions.
Qin Liuxi shook her head, cupping one hand in the other before her chest as a salute, "Thank you for your trouble."
"It’s a trifle; I’ll be taking my leave then." Black Impermanence waved his hand, wrapping the chain around Bai Renting’s hand, preparing to leave.
Bai Renting bowed deeply to Qin Liuxi, "Thank you."
