Chapter 535: Chapter 527: The Wicked Have Their Own Torntors
Daoist Taiyang laid several Spirit Talismans on Jing Chao’s bed and placed a Soul Calming Jade on his chest. Biting the tip of his finger, he drew a talisman on his forehead with blood.
“Chao’er was originally frail. Once the spell was broken, his body couldn’t withstand the backlash, leading to the symptoms of heart weakness as described by the doctor. I’m using the Soul-locking Array to lock his vital energy to prevent it from draining too quickly. We’ll discuss other matters once he stabilizes,” explained Daoist Taiyang while drawing the talisman.
Mrs. Niu asked, pale-faced, “If the spell is broken, does that an his life will not be long?”
Daoist Taiyang’s hand trembled, his eyes grew fiercer, and he gritted his teeth: “Don’t worry, if this spell doesn’t succeed, there are other ways.”
Mrs. Niu took a deep breath, staring at him with a cold voice, “No matter what you do, you must save his life. You know why I ask this.”
“I promise,” Daoist Taiyang replied, looking at her.
“This spell breaking, does it an that Jing Lian has beco aware of sothing? The issue with the venomous insect is still due to his big fate. He was fortunate to find a doctor who knows about this path and found out about the venomous insect in his body and treated it. But you said that normally Daoists wouldn’t notice it when soone’s lifespan is being stolen?”
Mrs. Niu was sowhat agitated: “And yet, even this was broken, how can this be?”
Daoist Taiyang was unexpectedly questioned: “Are you doubting ?”
Startled, Mrs. Niu bowed her head, exposing her slender neck and mournfully said, “I am just scared. I’m afraid Chao’er will leave us.”
She even regretted, wondering if she hadn’t used that spell, whether her child, although weak, would not have suffered such a terrible backlash, or even face an uncertain life and death? At least he wouldn’t have turned into this horribly blad semblance of a frail old man.
Mrs. Niu was very annoyed and began to bla Daoist Taiyang in her heart.
It was said to be foolproof, yet the spell was broken within just a few days.
Utterly incompetent.
Unaware of her thoughts, Daoist Taiyang set up the talisman array, then took a piece of red cloth, wrote Jing Chao’s birth dates and a cryptic number on it, turned it into a talisman and put it into the cloth, and handed it to Mrs. Niu: “Wrap a hundred Silver in this cloth and tie it with a red rope, take it outside, find any beggar or refugee, tell them it’s to buy sothing for them. Once they take the Silver, let them go.”
“What is this?” Mrs. Niu was hesitant.
With a stern face, Daoist Taiyang said:”If you want Chao’er to survive, do as I say.”
Mrs. Niu guessed sothing, feeling uneasy hearing about beggars and refugees, “Can’t we use soone else, soone with better life and fate?”
“If it’s soone else, and they notice sothing wrong, and find soone to break the spell, causing Chao’er to suffer another backlash?” Daoist Taiyang was sowhat angry, as if that were the case, he, the caster, would also suffer a backlash, potentially ruining him.
Mrs. Niu dared not argue and handed it over to Nanny Zhao beside her.
Imdiately after, Daoist Taiyang lit the incense, placed a box containing a paper figurine next to a copper plate, and drew a talisman on it. In the copper plate, there was a string of Copper Coins, an Eight Diagrams Mirror, two green willow branches soaked in water, and several fighting talismans.
He dressed in a Magic Robe and Dharma Hat, holding a horsetail whisk, his face solemn.
Having his spell broken and suffering a backlash, he couldn’t swallow this insult; he had to teach a lesson to those who ruined his plan to relieve his anger.
He sat cross-legged, ford seals with his hands, and his mouth under the goatee softly muttered: “Heaven is clear, Earth is spirit, Earth is clear, Heaven is spirit, True Spirit looks down, immortal banners arrive, envoys report, reaching to the nine heavens. I request the granting of the Heavenly Eye, to prove my Divine Skills, all evils manifest, Lord Lao Zi of the Great Monad, swiftly as the decree commands, order!”
He suddenly stood up, holding the Seven Stars Sword, quickly drew a charm on the blade with his fingers, stepped in the Gang Step, grabbed a talisman and threw it into the air, the sword passing through the talisman igniting it without fire.
Then, he took the two willow branches and struck the talisman fire, causing it to fall into the copper plate. The soaked Eight Diagrams Mirror in the plate seed to flash with spirit light, and the water rippled.
Daoist Taiyang imdiately leaned forward, took a bottle of Cow Tears, sared it on his eyes, and intently looked into the Eight Diagrams Mirror.
At the sa ti, on the carriage, Qin Liuxi, who was sluggishly dozing off, suddenly sat up, opened her eyes wide, where a clear lucidity resided, with so interest spilling out.
She moved slightly, and Feng Mi, who was resting with closed eyes at her feet, lazily lifted his eyelids and asked, “What’s wrong?”
“The person casting a spell on Jing Wu is using the Divine Eye Technique, intending to spy on who is helping Jing Xiaosi break the spell,” Qin Liuxi raised an eyebrow, “This person knows this art and even succeeded, really has so true capability.”
Unfortunately, it’s not used on the right path.
Feng Mi imdiately jumped onto her shoulder and crouched down, saying, “Isn’t that spying on you?”
“Mm-hmm.”
“That scoundrel, what if you were bathing? Wouldn’t that give him a free show?” Feng Mi fud, a privilege he himself had never enjoyed!
Teng Zhao was furious, this shaless fox.
Qin Liuxi gave him a half-smiling glance as she cracked her knuckles.
Feng Mi imdiately said righteously, “Don’t worry, if he dares to look, I’ll scare him to death!”
“Forget it.” Qin Liuxi ford seals with her hands, her eyes closed slightly then opened again, looking toward the void as if piercing through the space to see soone in a certain direction.
Daoist Taiyang focused his gaze toward the Eight Diagrams Mirror. After a ripple, an image started to appear – a giant fox head grinning maliciousally and baring its teeth at him.
Daoist Taiyang was astonished. Why was there a fox, and this fox, had it beco a spirit?
A fair hand pushed aside the fox head, and a face surged into view, staring straight at him as if making eye contact.
Seeing those eyes that seed to penetrate space, Daoist Taiyang’s heart startled, and instinctively, he grabbed a fighting talisman nearby, chanted a spell, lit the talisman on fire, and threw it onto the surface of the Eight Diagrams Mirror.
Thinking to ss with ?
Qin Liuxi’s lips curved into a smirk. As a spell was recited, she pinched her fingers into a spell, seemingly casting a Barrier around herself, unscathed.
She then tapped Feng Mi’s head lightly and pointed towards Daoist Taiyang, “Little Xiuxiu, make him poke his own eyes out.”
Feng Mi muttered, “When you need , I’m Little Xiuxiu; when not, I’m Old Fox, tsk.”
Despite complaining, his actions didn’t hesitate at all, casting the Charming Technique from afar, self-poking his eyes – quite apt, serves you right for being a voyeur!
Daoist Taiyang suddenly sensed a crisis emanating from the mirror. Just as he was about to sever the Divine Eye Technique connection, that man and fox had already locked onto him, beginning to cast a spell.
“No!” Daoist Taiyang’s soul trembled. Before he could grab a talisman, his fingers uncontrollably stabbed towards his own eyes, and a painful scream burst forth, “Ah!”
Crack.
The Eight Diagrams Mirror cracked, the image disappearing, the wicked eting their fate.
Daoist Taiyang covered his eyes and staggered back two steps, then spat out a mouthful of Heart Blood, collapsing onto the ground.
Mrs. Niu cried out in shock, watching as his hair gradually turned silver and he aged rapidly, shaking uncontrollably.
